The Thing I love about Queen is that they were never boring. They dabbled in nearly every music genre at the time, even creating new ones like this. As someone who loves multiple genres from jazz to heavy metal, classic and folksy, Queen is my favorite band of all time.

Imagine making a song THIS HEAVY in 74!!! this is at least 6 years before the New Wave of British Heavy Metal and sounds as hard as any Jaguar, Sweet Savage or D'ianno era Maiden tune of that era. This is textbook definition of "ahead of their time"
This song is already from the late 60s. Mercury played it already with his band before he joined Queen and Queen played it live for the first time in 1970 so long before Symptom of the Universe ;)
OK, Mind blown...I've loved the Metallica cover of this song from Garage Inc. for a decade and didn't know it was a Queen song til now. That's stone cold cray
I remember that I first heard this song by Metallica. I thought to myself "wow! They really put a punch in this Queen's song!". Years later, I got into knowing Queen (they're fantastic up to the Jazz album). No, the song was already as hard as it can be.
That`s why i came hear but it`s not at all, it`s more Heavy Metal rather than Rock compared to most Queen stuff but Purple did "thrashier " stuff than this as did MC5 years before.

I used to play this tune in a band back in the 70's (bass), not an easy tune to play right, great tune, I was sick of it after playing it so many times but it's been a while and it sound excellent again.
It is so fucking cool that Queen laid down the first Thrash metal track as one of their anomalies. Too bad they never made a full Albumn in this genre.

Crazy
Stone cold crazy, you know
Went to a Queen tribute show and people didn't know this song, this is like the best Queen song
Fr
Love the riff...awesome band
Beautiful song!
Imagine making a song THIS HEAVY in 74!!! this is at least 6 years before the New Wave of British Heavy Metal and sounds as hard as any Jaguar, Sweet Savage or D'ianno era Maiden tune of that era. This is textbook definition of "ahead of their time"
Most underrated Queen song.
One of the first thrash metal songs ever! 🤘🤘 Queen was fucking awesome
Huh......Queen invented Thrash Metal
an making House in forest
I think the first Thrash metal song was Symptom of the Universe by Black Sabbath though...
@@Apo458Sweet set me free is heavier than this in 74
Whether it is unknown what the first true thrash metal song was, this song was the first to be coined with the term.
This song is already from the late 60s. Mercury played it already with his band before he joined Queen and Queen played it live for the first time in 1970 so long before Symptom of the Universe ;)
The original and BEST version!!
This song is a gem!!!
Still one of the absolute hardest rock songs ever written… my god
Adelantados a su época, gloria a Queen
Queen is one of the most diversified and eclectic band I’ve ever heard, no doubt!!! 🤯🙀
A genius!! In the 70's a song like this was too much new for the music industries!
well defo first british punk tune!amazing, punk, thrash metal!im blown away just found it!
Been listening to Metallica’s version for years, never knew Queen did the original!
Holy shit Wikipedia is right, I do see this being thrash
MrCapone1996 the first thrash metal song
OK, Mind blown...I've loved the Metallica cover of this song from Garage Inc. for a decade and didn't know it was a Queen song til now. That's stone cold cray
I remember that I first heard this song by Metallica. I thought to myself "wow! They really put a punch in this Queen's song!". Years later, I got into knowing Queen (they're fantastic up to the Jazz album).
No, the song was already as hard as it can be.
For 1974 this was extremely heavy; certainly one of the earlier, but not the earliest by far, examples of heavy metal.
Queen could have easily been a full time. Metal band!!
Speed metal, before speed metal was invented
That`s why i came hear but it`s not at all, it`s more Heavy Metal rather than Rock compared to most Queen stuff but Purple did "thrashier " stuff than this as did MC5 years before.
Trash metal*
Thrash metal*
es trash idiota
Daniel cruz Emm...

Sleeping very soundly
On a Saturday morning
I was dreaming I was Al Capone
There's a rumor going round
Gotta clear outta town
I'm smelling like a dry-fish bone
Here come the Law
Gonna break down the door
Gonna carry me away once more
Never, I never
I never want it any more
Gotta get away from this stone-cold floor
Crazy
Stone-cold crazy, you know
Rainy afternoon
I gotta blow a typhoon
And I'm playing on my slide trombone
Anymore, anymore
Cannot take it anymore
Gotta get away from this stone-cold floor
Crazy
Stone-cold crazy, you know
Hit 'em up
Walking down the street
Shooting people that I meet
With my rubber Tommy water gun
Here come the deputy
He's gonna come and get a me
I gotta get me get up and run
They got the sirens loose
I ran right out of juice
They're gonna put me in a cell
If I can't go to heaven
Will they let me go to hell?
Crazy
Stone-cold crazy, you know
Ahhh yes, queen, my favourite thrash metal band
And that boys and girls is how I got introduced to Queen music and worth it damn they got some sync talent.
I am a bit ashamed admitting I just found out that Stone Cold Crazy is Queen's child and this song, played by them launched me into another dimension.
Crazy good.
WoW!
It's like stumbling upon first pages of the Metal Bible.
Thank you, Queen. What a group of talented people you are!
It's insane how underrated this song is!
He can pop
He can metal
He can punk
He can Balad
He can Jazz
He can Blues
LEGEND
Punk??? Pffff u are totally wrong
@@damiansanchez7873 oh maybe my comment is a greatest sin?

Try Reborn by slayer
I’m so glad I was brought up with queen. Songs like this and all of their others prove they are probably the best band of all time. As long as the world lives, queens music will!
I love how this was used in Cruella
The rythm guitar at some point sounds like "Hit the lights" by Metallica. I guess it's the other way around, haha
It sounds like Stone Cold Crazy by Metallica
uhh, yeah because thats a cover of this song lmao
Metallica covered it.
But queen came first
This was kinda what bands like metallic came from this was the birth of thrash
I used to play this tune in a band back in the 70's (bass), not an easy tune to play right, great tune, I was sick of it after playing it so many times but it's been a while and it sound excellent again.
It is so fucking cool that Queen laid down the first Thrash metal track as one of their anomalies. Too bad they never made a full Albumn in this genre.
As a lifelong Queen fan, I had no idea they dabbled in punk. And it's good! As is pretty much all of their works.
This can actually be considered early thrash metal. Funny, Queen laid the groundwork for thrash metal, I never thought I'd say that
Brilliant, best band ever
People : This is Trash metal
another people : nope, this is speed metal
WHY NOT BOTH ?
Nope. It's plain good old Hard Rock, mate.
Anders Kastrup pantera is groove
New genre: Speedy Thrash.
Speed Metal includes Power and Thrash metal.
Imo it is Speed metal since it lacks some punk elements
I see the guy that comented this doesn't know the difference between trash and thrash
WOW! I never knew that Freddie Mercury could rap!
It's freddie mercury he can do anything with his voice
This isn't Rap, it is singing. Sigh.
One of my favorite songs by queen 👑 🤘🏻
First heavy metal song in my book.
This song was at least a decade ahead of its time.
Sleeping very soundly on a Saturday morning I was was dreaming I was Al Capone
There's a rumour going round, gotta clean outta I am smelling like a dry fish bone
Never, never, never get it any more
Gotta get away from this stone cold floor.
All these lyricks in twenty one seconds.....

Ok...._____

Anyone else feel like Mötley Crüe definitely got their inspiration for live wire from this song?
