I remember the first time i watched this on MTV. We didnt have utube or smart phones that we could just watch it over and over again. We had to wait til they played it. My husband and i were newlyweds and purchased one of the first models of 50" screen TVs Living in a 1 bedroom apartment didnt give us much space lol. But this group of awesome ,talented artists were larger-than-life on that big tv. What a blessing each one of them were in the production of this great work of art. Michael was the foundation, the backbone of the entire song. These folks worked hard and long hours to make it all possible and for a great cause. RIP Michael. You are loved and missed daily by millions. 🙏😢💔

When I was a child about 6 - 7yrs old this was the first version of we are the world I ever heard, Whenever I heard this song as a child me as a child can feel his compassion and empathy in this song. I didn't understand the song at the time but my heart felt his soul like some sort of connection was made with me and Michael Jackson and I just felt him through his music and I will always believe he was a great human who cared deeply about humanity because you can't teach this, it has to be inside of you.
