Great to see, I have been over the Stelio a few times on motorcycles, but that looked great. Constant fettling to keep them running right too. Any time I have been travelling in that area ,you can hit heavy rain ,but always come out of .👍
love the hope map reading light! night have to adapt something for my, currently interior light-less series 3! I've got an old hope 4 led that I'm sure I can re purpose
sam hopwood cheers, I would say that my Hope is total overkill even on the lowest setting, ruining any night vision! We have used it as a searchlight to search for a wild camp site in the wee small hours though 😉.
Hi, great trip recap. Looks the biz. Who painted your bonnet ( refuse to say The H word as im English to the core) it looks really cool and been thinking of having mine done just know if i did it it would turn out kind of C***p.
Jimmy Fish Hi, sorry been away in the sticks. Thanks, my mate painted the bonnet about 12 years ago. I only really use it abroad now as it gets a bit much after a while and not having seen another before there seems to be quite a few knocking about now 🤔. Common as muck😆.
At first I thought crikey you get around, leafers last weekend europe the next, I did spy your L/R and John's @ leafers and did I see one of your children with some others in a scaled version of a L/R, anyway great footage as always very enjoyable cheers Dennis ps does your 80 have std springs or parabolic, my 86" rides like a dray with std springs and gas shocks all round
budvar45 hi, apart from the summer family holiday to Scotland (four of us + the dog in the 80 with trailer) no adventures. I have had the 80 for over twenty years and it's been my daily on and off but I too have just bought a 109 so I will be alternating between the two. 109s are ace! Got a bit of a plan for a trip next summer which could be interesting... watch this space!
It will be in a month, the Cherokee I have is due for MOT in December so get that sorted and moved on.. Insurance for the Jeep £800,(10 years no claims FFS). The Landy £120 any driver over 25.. 3 years and it's paid for itself!!
Hi Stephen, recently been watching your videos (fantastic by the way !) and its tempted us into doing the Alps ourselves so much we have booked the ferry and will be off there on the 1st July. We have set out our route but have since thought about the direction we go round the Alps. Is there a ruling or suggested direction we should follow ? Is there a protocol going through the tunnel, any markings or system whereby you know something is coming the other way ? Pretty excited but want to make the most out of the trip so any help and advise will be greatly aprreciated. You can email us at raisinfrance@hotmail.com. Look forward to hearing from you Russ & Jan
Can't beat 5 minutes watching the Team Faff guys, great footage and great music !

So did you go anywhere this year then? Just bought an 84 109 FFR in pretty decent condition. Is your Landy a daily driver?

budvar45 yes, the 80 is on a multi car classic policy with another 80 I own with a mate, to add the 109 it costs an extra £7 a year!
must get my 1951 finished
Hi Stephen, I really like this vid, looks like you had a lot of fun. Tell me please, how did you find these deserted tracks? Thanks, Paul.
torchyboyz hi and thanks. I spent quite a lot of time on the internet doing research. It's all out there, you just have to dig a little.
Cheers Steve.
