Awesome video guys! Growing up just outside nyc I’m a pizza snob. When in Bangkok pizza is the one food I miss the most. Pizza mania Is now my new addition to Palas to have next visit.
I think the east cost from Boston to Philly all has outstanding pizza, you would be hard pressed to find a bad slice. Great area to grow up in. I think Pizza Mania is a bit thicker than NYC Style, closer to RI or MA Pizza than NYC, but still damn good.
Pala Pizza is the best pizza I've had in Bangkok. Wish it was closer to me. Pizza Company's thin crust pizza is pretty good; costs less ,many locations, and delivery.
Thank you for doing the PIZZA REVIEW!!! I live in north BKK and YES, I LOVE PIZZA!!! I spent my childhood in Queens, NYC for a few years and have fallen in love with just the pizza slice down the block. We actually had a Tony's Pizza on the same block as our apartment and if I was ever hungry, that would be the first place I'd be. Of course, I would in Queens' fashion, dump tons of garlic powder , oregano, and dried chili flakes on top of my slice every time. The pie is strong enough to hold the toppings together, but still kink and hang when you fold it for one hand operations. I loved that pizza and I have to admit, I've not found it since then. However, recently, I have found New York Pizza House in Pattaya that makes the huge pies. The crust may not be exactly what you'd find in NYC, but it does come close in my opinion. Now I stop to pick up a pie every time I'm in Pattaya. Hopefully they will expand from their small store there to other major cities (or least to BKK) as well.
Thanks MJ, Yes, NYC pizza is generally amazing, and hard to find outside the city. The style is popular, but not easy to replicate. Luckily we have a lot of great pizza options in Bangkok. :-)
This should get you a lot of views. Pizza Mania is a little thick for NY style. Be interesting to see what ovens they use(Napoli style, coal fired vs. wood) Coal fired the elite American pizza in New Haven and NY. Parma looks way to thick for me but that is just preference.
Thanks Osito! I hope it does drive some views :-) Pala is think, but in the best possible way. However if Thin Crust is your preference then you might find it too much. Then the Pocket or Peace Love Pizza would be a better choice. To me Pizza Mania is also a bit thick for NYC style, it's much closer to New England style, but it's still damn good.
Man those looked tasty especially the pad graprow one! Best pizza I’ve tried in Thailand was Long Jim’s pizza in Lampang. My friend was like its good and I was like who comes to Thailand to eat pizza?! But once I had it I shut up.. best pizza ever!
I never tried Long Jim's will have to give it a go. I think pizza is a universal food, I really enjoy it no matter where I am. The fact that I can eat somtam and pizza in the same day is perfection. lol
Thanks for sharing the info on pizza's you like. I will have to try some of these places when traveling to BKK becomes less restrictive. Pala is the only one on your list that I've tried before and agree with your assessment of it. One suggestion is to include a Google map link (I guess except for the one which only does delivery) for each of the places.
Thank you! In the description, there are links to all the shops either websites or Facebook pages, which will have the menu, location, and hours info. Just below the timestamps. We finally got some relaxation on the restrictions, but I don't think it's enough to justify travling into BKK if you are coming from outside.
Have you guys tried Chef Bing? That dude has some real NYC looking stuff going on! Either way, coming from the land of pizza (NJ), it's always funny watching pizza be dissected like this from other places. Btw, pizza number one with pineapple and ham....yes, 100%, yes.
I have not yet had Chef Bing, I had plans to go before lockdown but my friend coming from CM couldn't make it so we pushed it back. I've heard nothing but good things tho, so I am excited to try it. I grew up in Rhode Island, which also has amazing pizza. in my experience from as far north as Boston and as far south as Philly/ southern tip of Jersey you could pretty much find above average pizza at most shops. The rest of the country seems to have no clue with a few exceptions made for local styles like Detroit and Chicago. The worst pizza I had in NJ was worlds better than the best pizza I had in Cleveland.
My Thai wife has the same portion control you mentioned lol she usually only eats 1 piece of pizza when I order but she insists that she loves it. I have a theory that most Thais don’t really like western style pizza so they stomach a few bites and just wait for their preferred food. And that’s why the portions for pizza in general here in 🇹🇭 are really small.
I would agree with you, but Jib also has very good portion control with everything. She does really enjoy pizza. and will often times order it for a meal. but she just won't pound a pie on her own.
Pineapple and bacon are a good mix. Clams and garlic are a good tavern pizza. Erik knows nothing about pizza, not even worth asking him. Jib is doing good. thanks for asking.
Hi Guys! Love your energy, very interesting topics (toppings!)…. May I ask for an email contact? I have a question regarding material source for garments. Thanks so very much , Roger
Hey Roger, Thank you. You can find our email on the about tab of our channel page if you view it from desktop. I would post it here but then bots would grab it and my address would fill with spam. Cheers.
@@IdeaStudioBKK Makes the list for Italian expats in Thailand and one fussy Southern Italian expat I know. Pala is to my knowledge the only place doing that style"Pala" dough and I also like it. The truest Napoli pizza in my opinion is Peppina. Italian pizza man, imported wood fired oven from Italy, Italian tomatoes. etc etc. I grew up in NYC and traveled extensively in Italy.
I took 5 friends to this restaurant, all were not happy. The sad thing was that I hyped it to N.Y.C. Pizza before tasting it. Nobody eating it called this N.Y.C. pizza, and sadly , I looked like a shmuck. Gino***

YES! Pineapple Pizza Rocks!!! The sweetness 😋 Team Jib for the Win. 💪🏻🎉🎉🎉
Fully agree, the sweetness can be a nice counter point to savory.
Yes yes 😘🍍🍕
Hello
Made my mouth water. Great video. Thanks guys.👍👍👍
Thanks, Glad you enjoyed it
Make Me Wine wood fire pizza in Lamlukka the best
There used to be a great wood fired pizza place in BKK but they closed a few years ago.
I wish I could get some Pizza Mania delivered Down to Sattahip. Great vid!
Thanks, yeah pizza mania delivery areas are a bit small.
so epic. now I want to come visit just for the food
The Pizza game in Bangkok is underrated.
Thanks guys. I’ve been to 2 of the top 5 . Will make it too the other 3 at soon as possible
all solid pies.
Five great options for pizza in BKK. This was very helpful. Thanks! Do more videos like this.
Thanks, glad you liked it.
They all looked good ! Pala is really good . We still have to try Chef Bing !
Pala is really world class pizza. I am sure Bings will be good but doubt it will approach that level, but I am ready to be surprised by it.
@@IdeaStudioBKK We ll get there one day !!!!
@@UTCM I do hope so.
Thanks! This is huge, I haven't tried any of these yet
This is a great list to work your way through. Some really good spots and they all have some great toppings to choose from.

Pala really is outstanding. Best I have ever had.

@@1tomannyvip604 in Asok under the BTS station.
Concur with your choices for number one and two!
You are a wise man, good Sir!
Your #1 is spot on! Not just their pizza, but their specials are phenomenal. They do a mean breakfast as well.
Jib LOVES the specials. especially when they have either risotto or a lobster dish.
Pala, must remember that place. Thanks
You won't be disappointed. It's right under the Asok BTS.
01:37 AM, after a bottle of red wine and now looking at amazing pizza's. I am now thinking.....ordering pizza or go to bed. Thanks guys!
haha, I struggle with this question daily!
My friend who lives there says your top 2 are his favorites. Nice video.
Thanks, your friend def has good taste in pizza!
Heyyy I’m new to your channel. I’m in Bangkok Now. ( Laksi ) You both are right on. The Dynamite Duo of Pizza love.
Welcome to the channel, and thank you!

Bella Napoli is my go to place for pizza in BKK. Never had a bad meal. Price is OK.
Nice, i am gonna add it to the list to try.
OMG pizza in Bangkok is so legit. Pala is 100% the best.
Fully agree, Pala has a great pizza scene, and Pala is king.

Gallery over Mania for me, and Pala is the best spot to go in and grab a slice (pre-situation) 100%
Gallery is def good, just missed out on this list. but now that I am thinking about that hot honey they put on pizza..... Oh my. so good.
In Australia Ham and Pineapple is one of the best selling variety.
I can see that, sweet pineapple is a nice complement to a savory ham.
Nice vid!
But what about Gallery Pizza?
Thank man, appreciate it. Gallery is good, but falls just outside the top 5 for us. If we were to make a second list it would be on that for sure.
Visually Pala Jibs PC looks good
Pala is the best. so good.

I haven’t been to Thailand but it was funny to hear you mention party pizza. Do they also make wimpy skimpy?
I think RI has the best pizza at large, and the pizza strip is my favorite. I have not found a wimpy skimpy, I wish I could tho.

Check out Roberta's Pizza just opened in Siam Discovery, their food is amazing, straight from Brooklyn USA
i am pineapple & bacon guy also clam & garlic + spinach //what does erik say // how is jib please tell her hi

Hi joe 😘
Agree with PALA, but you left 1 off, SOHO pizza on soi 11, get it by the slice, to me the best in Bangkok, NY style.
I will have to give SOHO a try. But for me Chef Bings is my favorite NYC style. zero flop, just how I like it.
Pala is hands down the best in Bangkok! But I am surprised Vesuvio didn't make this list.
Pala is the greatest. Vesuvio is good, if we do a second list it would surely make it.
Pizza Mania by far is the best tasting pizza; Pala is a conversational pizza, enjoying the ambience of that fresh baked pizzeria vibe
No way, Pala is the best by far. Pizza mania is good, but not even close to Pala.
Out of your mind, Kid! Nothing is even close to Pala. Pizza Mania is very good, but Pala is world class!
Viva la Pala!
The GOAT!
I’m so hungry now 😄😄😄😄 Next time I should watch after I eat 55555 My friends often joke about pizza having pineapple on top.

Does pizza mania have seatint or is it only delivery ?
Only Delivery, and the best delivery in Bangkok, by far. The pie arrives hot and crispy.
It's scandalous that Soho was not on this list.
Nah Bruv...
For a New Yorker that is the most mediocre pizza you could imagine at 2X the price for a slce in NYC.
