We were stuck hour and half away from our house on a turnpike. Went to a restaurant and couldn't get the car out of reverse. Loose shifter just like this. Thanks to your video, I was able to get the car in drive and get home. Thanks

bet it’s the transmission. they where known for that. i worked for a gm dealer

Plastic shifter linkage parts. I replaced one on a 2005 Dodge Magnum R/T. A Metal version of the linkage and a little bit of lithium grease did the trick. The shifter is cable linked it doesn't actually go into the the transmission they could put it anywhere. On the Tahoe they put it in the column.
