Great video....Great Scenery....Great Shooting. I'd go Roe for Xmas dinner. Altho all 3 would be eaten in many different recipes..But Roe for Xmas dinner 🎅⛄️🦌
Well done chaps... im not sure how i feel about thermal when stalking...for a numbers game when needing to get them down I understand its the best option.. but i stalk for pleasure and still pref the binos...keep up the good work im away for boxing day venison pie 🎉😊😊
I have to say that I am sympathetic to your opinion of thermal. But as a pro stalker, I simply cant afford to get left behind the curve. If I was doing it just for me, I might also stick to traditional optics. Thanks for watching!
Shot and cooked Reds/Fallow/Roe/Muntjac Loins and Muntjac win hands down with Roe last Best bit is Jonty is left handed using a R/H rifle and carries it muzzle down so Snap Jonty like me Merry Xmas
@@deerjonty Not odd as we can fire cycle a r/h rifle quicker that the R/H people with a R/H rifle. Time you and Peter and he will loose (don't tell him lol)
@@buckrussel3808 Not shot Sika although I can drive to a friends as he has them. Have you shot all six as Sika is last on the list but TBH a 8hr round trip of a drive then the stalking is not top of my list lol
Logic suggests non carnivore, non alpha predator, so all deer are in. Next, the minimum exposure to smaller mammals tendency to vulnerability to pesticides etc, deer still in. Then, a diet of browsed food as opposed to a grazed diet, next its bang for buck so that's cwd and muntjac out, and the winner is roe. IMHO. Well done gents!
Great video again. I would always choose Fallow myself but Muntjac 2nd and Roe at the bottom. Was good to see thermal scope in action but i won't be rushing to get one yet. Love my spotter and Glass still. I just don't think the thermal as the definition yet.
I can see why you feel that way. Albeit, I have to say that thermal has come an awful long way. I should keep an open mind over the coming months and years and see if developments change your mind. At any rate, thanks for watching and for your contribution.
What brand is the jacket the young man is wearing? I forgot who is Peter and who is Jontley 😅 I know one of them is wearing Deerhunter. But the other jacket/parka looks cool as a cucumber. The one with the blue logo. Thank you guys
Its the Ed Stafford Forest Smock by Ridgeline, pretty bombproof! Only downside is the blue lining but because it performs so well I tend to ignore that.
Have we got it right? What would you choose?
it’s got to be Muntjac, absolutely delicious. Great film and looking forward to seeing more in 25, thanks for sharing
No doubt Muntjac is amongst the best. Thanks for watching.
What a great video guys! Personally Roe is the winner for me! Happy New Year!
Good choice!
Fabulous stalking well done both of you .
I like its video quality and editing more than its content.

Thanks Barry, you are in agreement with me then!
Great video guys keep it up
Thanks for the vote of support!

Great video. Love the Hampshire trio but for me its sika as first choice. HNY guys. Paul@testvalleyvenison
I agree Paul, I think Sika trumps them all. Happy Christmas to you and yours!
Great video guys! Look forward to more in 2025
Thanks, we have heaps more to come next year!
Hands down Sika is best.

No chance sika is the best hands down, munty next, red and fallow zero difference, cwd then roe last.

CWD trumps everything 💥
I have to say had CWD and Sika been on the list, the decision may have been different.
Merry Christmas 🍽️
Thanks, and happy new year!
Very good video. Particularly liked the Roe. Going to look at more of your stuff....

An opinion worth listening too. Thanks Simon.

Sika for the win

Why hunting with thermal on day light ?
