If you look a battery compression of the Samsung s20 ultra (SD865) and note 20 ultra (SD865+) u can see despite the s20 having a larger battery (5000mAh), the note still outlasted it by more then 2 hours despite having a smaller battery (4500mAh). This scenario is the exact same problem xiaomi is facing now. So just wait for the xiaomi 12

lol I am using two Mate 40 and P50 pro in my family phones with Harmony Os updated to the latest.Its tendency is to kill background processes.They could improve on that to give apple stiffer competition.In all we consumers will benefit due to their competition

Huawei's HarmonyOS and previous optimization kicks in to it and shines. Like other android phones, if Huawei will use 5000 battery cells no can even could close up to it's battery performance.
The P50 Pro started to fall down during the video recording part. If that test was not included the Huawei will surely be the winner. I've been using Huawei for a while and they always heat up and drain quickly when recording video.

This adaptive is kinda joke. I have 120hz in apps that doesn't use 120hz at all like games capped at 60fps. 60hz appears only when I don't use him while nothing happening on screen and 90hz is only at screen with last apps. Haven't noticed 30hz anywhere tbh

@@pecoliky8793 Their peak was the 7 series. 9 was a huge flop and they've officially gone off the deep end switching to ColorOS now. Their key selling point was Oxygen OS which is now gone. There's absolutely no reason to look at OnePlus anymore.
No surprise that battery life is a lot less on the S21U compared to previous tests as my S20U has deteriorated markedly and performs abysmally after 18 months, barely breaking 4hr SoT (Exynos). Samsung fabs are poor and efficiency and longevity are big question for Samsung to answer in 2022. I could not recommend them as we see Kirin also on 5nm easily make the S21U look trash for battery. I do not know how Samsung fans can defend this, they should be up in arms insisting on Samsung getting their foundries working like TSMC. Bearing in mind that the iPhone ran two poorly optimised Google apps, Chrome and YT, it did well as those two probably used twice as much battery compared to a native app. That could mean an extra 1hr SoT using Safari (not sure why tests like this use the competition’s apps as both are known to be badly optimised by Google, for obvious reasons). Shame the US has banned Huawei as they were my fav Android flavour and now stuck with the underperforming Samsung, nearly 2hr less than the iPhone with 17% more battery!

Huawei and Apple battery optimisation is nice.But wish Huawei had good RAM management like Apple. Huawei tends to kill background processess to preserve battery. Also 90hz is conserving than 120Hz considering test is done in the same environment,using the same set of apps. But still kudos to Apple and Huawei.Samsung should take a note how to improve despite having a ginormous battery, Samsung standby and SOT is nowhere close.

lol I am using two Mate 40 and P50 pro in my family phones with Harmony Os updated to the latest.Its tendency is to kill background processes.They could improve on that to give apple stiffer competition.In all we consumers will benefit due to their competition
This is a thing that Samsung has mastered through the time, apps can stay opened in the background for days, I really like that (but I guess it uses more battery)

The P50 Pro started to fall down during the video recording part. If that test was not included the Huawei will surely be the winner. I've been using Huawei for a while and they always heat up and drain quickly when recording video.

This adaptive is kinda joke. I have 120hz in apps that doesn't use 120hz at all like games capped at 60fps. 60hz appears only when I don't use him while nothing happening on screen and 90hz is only at screen with last apps. Haven't noticed 30hz anywhere tbh

@@pecoliky8793 Their peak was the 7 series. 9 was a huge flop and they've officially gone off the deep end switching to ColorOS now. Their key selling point was Oxygen OS which is now gone. There's absolutely no reason to look at OnePlus anymore.
OnePlus 9 was a huge disappointment. Instead of the mi 11 Ultra should've been the 11t pro.

No surprise that battery life is a lot less on the S21U compared to previous tests as my S20U has deteriorated markedly and performs abysmally after 18 months, barely breaking 4hr SoT (Exynos). Samsung fabs are poor and efficiency and longevity are big question for Samsung to answer in 2022. I could not recommend them as we see Kirin also on 5nm easily make the S21U look trash for battery. I do not know how Samsung fans can defend this, they should be up in arms insisting on Samsung getting their foundries working like TSMC.
Bearing in mind that the iPhone ran two poorly optimised Google apps, Chrome and YT, it did well as those two probably used twice as much battery compared to a native app. That could mean an extra 1hr SoT using Safari (not sure why tests like this use the competition’s apps as both are known to be badly optimised by Google, for obvious reasons).
Shame the US has banned Huawei as they were my fav Android flavour and now stuck with the underperforming Samsung, nearly 2hr less than the iPhone with 17% more battery!
Samsung is just overrated, mediocre brand in reality.
