      Hi dear, yes, you can use your degree in education to apply for initial teacher training, which you will be awards QTS at the end of your training. That's exactly what I am currently doing. You can add a PGCE or decide to focus on getting the QTS only. It all depends on your preference. I am here if you need any support.

    • @RitaSiaw
      @RitaSiaw  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I live closer to Oxford, so I chose Oxfordshire Teacher Training. There were no bursaries for primary teaching. Only physics and languages I was aware of. Some people got bursaries, but as I explained, they are either natives and have been living in the UK for a long time and did physics in their degree. However, the government is giving relocation funds to physics teachers from across the globe to come and train to teach physics here.

      Hi dear, you are welcome, and thanks for watching. The physics teachers I know they are looking for are for secondary school (since I can't tell what age group is secondary school in your home country), writing them to find out. However, there is no harm in trying since you aren't going to spend any money on doing that. So long as you are confident you can teach physics, I suggest giving it a try. You never know. Anything can happen.

      Hi Anu, Yes, you can apply, but that means you have to apply to do an undergraduate degree to get your QTS.
      To train to teach, you’ll need to have GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above in English and maths (and science if you want to teach primary).
      You also need a degree in any subject to teach primary and secondary - if you have one or an equivalent qualification, you can do postgraduate teacher training.
      If you do not have a degree, you can do undergraduate teacher training to get a degree alongside qualified teacher status (QTS). Or you may be eligible to do a teacher degree apprenticeship (TDA)(opens in new window) and work in a school, earning a salary while getting a bachelor’s degree and QTS. I've added additional information for you to check out. Let me know if you need further guidance, please. Thanks for watching.
