Just heard about Jack Russell and wanted to hear this so bad, man I loved these guys back then, then MTV and record labels ruined it all, I really loved this ep, great memories. RIP Jack, thank you!
This band was amazing from 1976-1985. After that well they started to go down the toilet. Shot In The Dark (their second official album) is a toned down version of them with the last flickers of what they were when they were good...> Once Bitten (third album) is still a good record by all means. But some of those songs are so commercial and wimpy. Everything after that 3rd album is utter garbage and not worthy of my ears...> By the way, BUY their Dante Fox - 'Great White Roots' cd. And BUY their self titled Black Album from '84...> Those two are two of the best cd's I have ever obsessed over...>
I still prefer the Self Titled debut over this EP cuz the songs sound much heavier and the guitar tone has a much crunchier metal tone to them that I love… and Jack Russell sounds way more gruff and menacing sounding on the Self Titled debut. And I absolutely love songs like Bad Boys & Streetkiller! but this EP is better than anything else they’ve ever done! I only care for this EP and the Self Titled debut from 1984… Although I do like some songs off of the album Psycho City from 1992 though! Some songs on that record are pretty heavy and have a darker tone to them.
I remember buying this EP (And the August Redmoon EP at the same time) and thinking these guys were pretty heavy. After a couple of records I didn't recognize 'em anymore!
Such a great record! What a great time for the southern Cali rock scene. So many great records. Ratt EP, Quiet Riot Metal Health, Motley Too Fast for Love, etc etc etc!
Jack Russell and Great White sounds awesome melodies group even know what ever they maid and I can barely believe that I knew they had a new one totally hit album Lovett
GW sounded like Judas Priest in 1983-84. It's actually cool to see how quickly their sound evolved over the first 3 albums. But this EP is just balls out metal of that time.
R.I.P. Jack Russell (1960 - 2024)
R.I.P to one of the most legendary vocalists in Hard Rock and Heavy Metal Jack Russell.
I saw them with RATT in May 83 at Magic Mountain. Luv that 1st EP!!! RIP JACK
Yep ,, I was there too! Ratt opened Great White Closed it. I was 14 years old on a school trip! Great White Killed it! 🤘🏼
RIP Jack Russell. Deeply Saddened.
the hard ' n heavy GREAT WHITE , that i loved in the first place !!!

Absolutely one of the best EPs ever released out of Los Angeles.
Before Great White went soft.
I've never listened to this before. Totally rocks and is edgy.
Back when they were a Metal band! I lost interest in them after this EP and the Self Titled debut from 1984…
wait. WHAT?? these guys were actually badass once upon a time ?!?! wow, that fall from grace is up there with Twisted Sister on Love is for Suckers

Same thing with Tesla. 'Mechanical Resonance' was kick ass then they catered to the trend.
Better than all the LPs !!!!!!!!!!!
I never could get into great white till now.

Yeah, lost interest in them after this & first full album.

Oh good Lord, August Redmoon! That was Jack Russell's other band, yeah?
@@Pronetos No, Jack was never in August Redmoon
I wore this cassette out and was sad when they got their balls snipped. The industry raped that trend dry...
Ah, the days when you had to go to Tower Records to order titles from the catalog. Miss those days. A lot of rare gems were found in the early 80's.
back again for the saddest possible reason. RIP Jack Russell .. the news is on what was his official Twitter so this is for real. damn man.
Such a great record! What a great time for the southern Cali rock scene. So many great records. Ratt EP, Quiet Riot Metal Health, Motley Too Fast for Love, etc etc etc!

Don dokken produced this in 1982!!!!!
Great! White!😁👍
Produced by The great Don Dokken. Fun fact
Отлично!!! Шедевр!!!🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Jack now and years before him Lorne Black. Just recently Mark Kendall posted Don Costa died. Only Holland and Kendall left of the original band.

What Priest? Turbo??? I just don't hear it.
The first 2 GW albums are the only ones I can honestly listen to.
In 1983-84, GW sounded like FASTWAY not Priest.
Back during a time when Great White were a Metal band before they became a Zeppelin clone.
Great white was better than Zeppelin
They kicked ass all through their career until total sadness
That total sadness was Shot In The Dark.
Great band until their manager started replacing members of the band and writing songs for them.
Nice 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Make No mistake Jack Russell is Great White.
I found the first song very similar to LIVE WERE by Motley Crue
Yeah I hear the similarities but I personally prefer Out Of The Night… Especially the longer version on the Self Titled debut from 1984.
\m/
When they were Good lol
can you upload Eüröpe - Force EP 1982
Way worse than I remembered. Much prefer the self titled album. Production matters.
RIP Jack.
I like the dirtyness of it
