I was intimidated to mess with this but the actuator stopped working and I needed to replace it. Thank you for the video, it helped a lot. One thing I didn't do was detach the inner door handle. I kept it connected and I did not pull the entire assembly away from the door. I was able to replace the actuator with the inner door handle still attached, it took a total of one hour to have the door back to normal.
My door is also stuck open. The actuator didn’t click into place to the closed position like the others when I tried to mess with it with my finger. It’s stuck in the open position. Is this actuator the part I need to fix that? Thanks
I have personally seen advisors schedule the job to take up to 1 to 2 days given the work load that has to be put through before the job can be taken on. Personally a 4 door latch replacement will take me as the technician anywhere from 1 to 2 hours as long as the vehicle didn't have prior damage.
@Montag Garage ok my daughter's car is at the dealership right now, today makes the 3rd day and the guy is now trying to say up to 4 days. I know it don't take 1 day per door! There was no damage to the car just the latch recall issue from Ford.

How long does it take to do one rear door latch? I need to know so the shop doesn't charge me for a 6 hour job when it only takes an hour lol
It's pretty simple you could probably do it yourself if money is an issue
