China formed national rugby 7 teams since it became an Olympic events, women team has much smaller gap with other teams but men's are so hard to catch up.

Its pretty well established there now. They have coaches from all over the world working there now helping the womens team. They have a youtube channel which goes into more depth how the games is growing over there.

这支球队是几年前成立的，队员都是其他项目转项过来的，比如原先的女足队员、跑步队员、皮划艇队员等等。他们在自己原先的领域，都无法达到顶级水平，所以趁着新组建橄榄球，就转项成为了橄榄球队员。我曾经看过他们的纪录片，他们训练非常非常辛苦，可以说是拼命。现在，她们的付出， 终于得到了回报。

China seems to have been doing a LOT of training. What country do their training and targets team come from? They may have beaten the Jaguars, but the stars two years ago were the Tigers, when they beat China soundly. The tiny little women, from India, beat them squarely, their first International win. A great pity that they didn't do it this year.
What final is this, both teams outside the top 12 in the 2024 Women 7's World Series.
They've called it 7's Challenger - so guess it is to give 2nd tier teams some international competition and make it to first tier events?
