Okay so,the reasom for the "extra" 10 minutes,was due to as you said ,innacuracy, BUT ,the other reason,was that over time,with daily repeated use,the mechanisms could no doubt begin to become worn out,so its mostly meant as a safegaurd of sorts,in that if the mechanism became worn,it wasn't completely useless
CrestwoodRocks The Duncan actually wasn't extremely hard to work on. The vault door lock was the hardest part. I've never worked on any other brand, but I hope to.

I have a Duncan meter ... the knob will not turn with or without a coin. Any idea what the problem might be? I thought maybe a stuck coin, but i don't see one.
