    Les, I love the way you displayed the homes. Using nice music instead of describing every item in the house (like all the other TH-camrs do) is a breath of fresh air for those of us who already know the names of household fixtures.
    I hope you're healthy and happy. Have a great weekend !

    Hi Les great vlog.. I'm currently living on Koh Samui and been here for 9 year's, However it's becoming an island with lot's of new incoming farangs due to the situation in Eastern Europe and is no longer a nice quiet place to live. Rayong is very high on my list as an option to a quiet retirement. I'm probably coming up around Xmas time and have a look round at property 8-12k per month. We'll have to hookup for a beer and chat...Stay Safe..

    By heck Les, no 1 & 2 properties were gorgeous, i didn't see any aircon, i might have missed it, but both bargains imo, And those last 2 properties were the best furnished houses ive ever seen in thailand, thais in general have no clue how to furnish a house, ive seen new thai houses furnished with all their old thai tat, .Rayong is very industrial in place but its a hidden gem if you know were to look, .not far to koh chang and cambodian border also,.

      Hi thanks for watching. There was Aircon in the houses shown. Only a small selection of houses which are available were shown in this video. Hi Les, it all looks lovely and Rayong is very high on my list of retirement options, along with my Thai partner. We both prefer the quieter life and as my partner is quite a bit younger, she's keen to start a small business, similar to that of your wife, but don't worry, not in direct competition. Just something to tide us over, on top of my pensions.
    I imagine Rayong to be a more traditional Thai environment, which suits us both. However, I do enjoy watching sport, especially at the weekend and was wondering if there are any expat bars? Somewhere to watch football on a Saturday or Sunday evening, and/or with live music. Definitely not girlie bars! They're fine for some and I'm not denigrating them, just not what I'm looking for. We both love nothing more than sitting with a cold drink and watching the world go by. Hopefully making some new friends and enjoying the good weather (amongst other things), that Thailand has to offer.
    Keep up the good work Les, with the vlogs you create for us all to enjoy and the escapism they provide. Many thanks.

      @RetiredandLivingthedream  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks so much for the comment. There are plenty of nice bars that offer what your looking for around here, I also prefer the quiet life as we are not Bar people so we like it here, too quiet for some people I suspect but we all have our wish lists. A little business, I call all the businesses you see on a samlor a business in a box everything on the samlor. A great little invention but against the law here but there are hundreds of them about. Many things can be done with this motorbike and side car. Thanks for watching.

    • @RetiredandLivingthedream
      @RetiredandLivingthedream  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They do have full size oven's here but the Thai people do not use them but you can get them, every DIY Store sell them. Also Turkey's are very expensive here. We only have a very small oven and it is hardly used. Thanks for your comment.

    • @paradise6606
      @paradise6606 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@RetiredandLivingthedream I can see that but the kitchens are not designed to accommodate a regular size oven in most condos. And I also get the fact that most people eat out. But what happens if they shut the country down again and people can't go out and get street food or restaurant food. Wouldn't this be a problem for all? Also I see a lot of microwaves in condos in place of an oven. Microwave food is dead food with no nutritional value what so ever. Microwaves are deadly when it comes to consuming the food once it is heated that way.

      There are plenty of bins along the beach for rubbish but sadly some Thai people do not use them But my visit to India many years ago was the worst for seeing plastic on the beaches and general rubbish everywhere.
