One thing I want to correct on the Relentless Discipline: the command points gained are cumulative, not just the highest prerequisite. So if you have 7+ units, you're gaining +1 for having 3 or more, and +2 for having 5 or more, and finally +3 for the 7 or more, totaling +6 command points. So it's easy to start a turn with at least 8 command points.
Thanks for pointing this out, it seems somehow all of us missed the "these are cumulative" clause haha It'll be a lot more punishing to this army as soon as you can drop them below 7 units.
A few things, 1) I had a good chuckle when you said at first glance KDR look like cheap screens, but I guess if we're talking points per wound relative to the army, mayyybe lol 2) Just started watching the channel and despite not agreeing with a few things you guys are awesome and I'm glad you're going so deep in the tank. I think that there's a hunger for content that goes a little deeper that hasn't been satisfied yet so we'll see in the coming months if my theory's true and you guys explode in viewership. I will definitely be spreading the word personally. 3) @Paul, you mentioned one of the heros; Nagash maybe, that you really wanted them to be good. Does that mean you play OBR personally? I've noticed with a lot of the armies even multiple people on your cast will talk as if they play the army. Is this just because you guys have studied the armies so deeply or do you guys just play a shit ton of different armies?
Thanks for the kind words! It's okay if we don't agree on everything, the point of our podcast is to foster discussions :) Most of us play multiple armies. Mrigank plays OBR, and that inspired us to do a full review of their battletome. It's also a fun way to learn an army so deeply that we know how to crush them when they are across the table!
Katakros is the leader of all OBR. Arkhan was gifted Null Myriad (who show bias toward Arkhan). No idea why Katakros is faction keyworded and not Arkhan other than balance reasons.
Yeah I thought it was 12” with leaks before book came out. Then got my book saw 9” tried it 3 games, was always out of the aura with important stuff. Sad
This army lacks 1 thing Sir Daniel Fortesque Edit: That Bone Tithe Shrieker is nasty Given the army's self sustain, durability, and damage output, I am not surprised how expensive some units in the army are If the monster heavy armies could do multiple roars (or a single roar that affected multiple units), they would hard counter this army
Man, Liege Kavalos has Vandus' command ability, but better +1 attack for any OBR unit, while Vandus can only +1 attack SCE Redeemers (imagine if he could layer that on Paladins)

Did they FAQ Kainan extending with Arkhan. As written currently you can extend this range. Unlike Vokmortian.
