- How to create an egg shape from a sphere.
Blender is one of the best free software/freeware 3D computer graphics software packages available for Windows, Linux & Apple.
Blender is a professional, free and open-source 3D computer graphics software toolset used for creating animated films, visual effects, art, 3D printed models, interactive 3D applications and video games. Blender's features include 3D modeling, UV unwrapping, texturing, raster graphics editing, rigging and skinning, fluid and smoke simulation, particle simulation, soft body simulation, sculpting, animating, match moving, camera tracking, rendering, motion graphics, video editing and compositing. It also features an integrated game engine.
This is one of those blender tips that just took my modeling to the next level with a single click. Thank you so much!
Glad it helped!
Thank you for this! For those using Blender 4.0 you will find the "connected" tick box under the arrow next to the curve icon, as it seems they've merged those together.
Ive been trying to make a plane wing for an 3d rc model, and i could never figure out the proportional editing thing, your a life saver and saved me hours of mindless searching
Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks a lot!

For me its not working :( In my version of blender there is no " connected" option. There is a "connected only" but when i select that the sphere just gets a tiny spike :(
select the circle logo and then use the drop down menu on the right to select 'connected only' they now share thee drop down menu.
tyvm ! simple solution and very effective

im not familiar with 3d, but needed 3d model of egg for tabletop game
found free finished model but it has wisible scar when i tryed to color it
it cant be hard to fix it - i think, download soft and start trying to fix unsimetrical curve (spoiler - didnt succeed)
first i try manualy select bugged line and fix it, or polish it by sculping tools - failed
then i try cut egg on half, delete bugged half, clone perfect half and match em together - failed ( navigation and center point too complicated for first time usage )
finaly i give up and decide that much easyer would be make new egg then fix this one
so i create sphere and start manualy adjust every ring - what is obveously failed
and then... after ~6 hours wasted i found this tutorial that saves me
big thanks
Glad it helped
