I follow Rolling Quartz since they started posting music videos on TH-cam even before their debut, I love them and find it fascinating to watch them ‘evolving’. Some comments if I may: Sanullim was the most influential Sth Korean rock band of the 70s. The song Reminiscence was written by Kim Chang-hoon, one of the three brothers forming the band. RQ was requested by Kim Chang-hoon (the guy sitting in the middle of the recording studio) to participate in the Sanullim 50th Anniversary Remake Project and mutually picked this song. I used to play in a rock band many years ago, and if my comment means anything, these girls not only did justice to the original song but lifted it into a different universe. They not only play traditional rock with extreme high skills, they live it too. They love it, they have a blast playing. I had chills from the moment Jayoung hit the first keys on the piano. In this song every one of them, drums, bass, guitars plays superb. The guitar solos although completely different in style and tone between Iree and Hyunjung, still both suit the song perfectly. Jayoung’s vocals are unreal. Her voice with that tiny bit of grit is perfect for rock.
