    Hi Josephine! Would I be able to make the dough at night and let it rise overnight when I wake up? I have tried to make this and maybe its so cold in my house, I cant get my dough to rise after a few hours. So I was wondering if I could make this dough late at night and let it rise when I wake up when taking my kids to school the next morning. Thank you

    So that's all that's in the filling. Good to know. There was this one bakery where I bought a coconut bun and the filling tasted like pig fat, so obviously something wasn't right about that batch. bleargh

      @Albert Chan, No problem. I have used Allinson Bread Flour, Allinson Easy Bake Yeast for bread for a long time and they've turned out perfect every time and I kept flour and yeast in a tightly sealed bag in the fridge. Wish you luck in the Year of the Dog 2018.

    Thank you for the reply, I have a few questions because I'm a newbie at this -__-'
    I used an instant dry yeast, do I need to soak it in warm milk and sugar as well?..
    is it okay to substitute olive oil with butter? How many gram of butter should I put in?
    one last question; can I just let the dough rise naturally? Or do I have to put it above a hot water?
    Thank you for sharing ur recipes, I'll bake this again tomorrow and greetings from Indonesia :)

    • @JosephineRecipes
      @JosephineRecipes  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      July Veronica, Sorry for the delayed response. I've just seen your comment. Yes. You can use 1 tbsp mild oil to replace 20-35g butter, as you desire. You will need to rise the dough in the warm oven, about 35-37C.

      Test your yeast in the warm milk about 20 minutes and see if any bubbles on top, if not the yeast are not fresh, expired or dead. Let the dough rise in a warm place until double or triple in sized.

      +NoCoke idiot, freshly baked bread need time to proofing and fermentation. This is the best version I watched and less time and energy to make our own bread. I suggest you don't waste so much time to watch Josephine's videos.

      Bread making is time consuming and hard work. With modern fast acting yeast as your describe simpler and faster methods, and you only need to leave it to rise once. The worst that can happen is your bread might be a bit too firm.
