H1 is ALSO a civilian version. "Hummer" is military slang or nickname for HMMWV but that name was adopted for AM General civilian version. You will know military version "HMMWV" when you see it (camouflage pain and spartan interior). 😉

Hi Charlesbaril H1 all use military base. just Humvee use 3 speed automatic gear box and civilian use 4 speed and max speed better, Inside more like a car than a truck, can adjust tire inside the car.,not like GM H2 and H3 all rubblish. 2006 Hummer H1 Alpha outer looks same but from engine to car inside a lot of improve I got a 1/1 LM002 and H1 at more than 20 year ago.
@@victorma6594 the h1 and the hmmwv are not the same at all, they do not use h1s on military bases, and the newer humvees (m1151) have 4 speed transmissions too. Yes the interior on a h1 is a lot more comfortable, it’s a luxury truck.

Hummer H1 在海彎戰爭中的出現使大家眼前一亮，它是一台又寬又扁平而離地又高的越野車，而不是又高又窄的豐田70 及110，G 可以相提並論。上世紀90 年代中推出了大眾化的H1 讓車迷有機會擁有，最初擁有的人都是荷里活明星及達官貴人⋯⋯這車設有四驅，四輪獨立懸掛，門橋，高，低波；但也有缺點，包括前，後Torsen 防滑差速器，但其實這並不是一台高速拉力賽車，因此改用ARB air lock會更為實際。我的H1 就在2000 年初改了二個ARB 可以100% 鎖死的差速，而這車比較重，車速又不快，基本上無需要恆久式四驅，由於車身長度闊，在亞洲路面又或林道並不靈活，除非駕駛者是受過訓練的拉力車手，我曾經駕駛H1 在廣東陽山的林道黒夜高速飛馳，當時其他人使用Hilux, Pajero ，豐吉，他們都以為我沒辦法一手軚在懸崖峭壁過彎，但結果帶頭的我以平均時速高於70公里甩尾入灣，國內一位著名記者陳剛相當驚訝，因為他就坐在我的副駕位，今日FMS 推出世界最經典1/12 像真Hummer H1模型,這次不但做出完全仿真中置引擎佈局，370 馬力來自6.5升V8 柴油Turbo 引擎，前端更有皮帶發電機及風扇，四輪驅動，四輪獨立避震，四輪輪邊減速（門橋）超像真車殼，車門可以打開，門揪設計和真車一樣，方向盤和前輪同步，前防撞架及水箱蓋可以和真車一樣開啟，手楸也和真車一樣，相當不可思議。

i got one at end of 90s, engine not powerful enough. AG 156 is Reg No. in Hong Kong. and i put 2 ARB diff lock in my H1.
