Joe: *talks about the history of every hip-hop artist and the longevity their albums* Akademiks: But what does it mean to last? Joe: *reads entire holy bible and explains the meaning of life* Akademiks: But Joe, what does it mean TO LAST?
He ain't wrong. Rap's first classic album was Kurtis Blows "The Breaks" which was all socialpolitical. Rap started as party music yes, but right away, like the moment people heard it, rap then became a avenue to express the pain in the ghetto. Both party music and conscience rap can exist, and in fact I agree with KRS-One, there has to be a balance between the two. Rap is at its worse when the party music overshadows the conscience rap. We rarely have had any era which political overshadowed party.
Lmao if you are looking for socio political content in rap music then you're too lazy/uninterested to seek out real sociopolitical content. You know, books and articles. If you're trying to learn about society from rap chances are you aren't smart enough to read a book, so you dunces need something I supoose
It’s not the fact that he likes low complexity music, not every artist has to make complex music, it’s the fact that he can’t accept or appreciate that Kendrick makes music that you have to think about to understand the meaning.
that song is one the deepest tracks in my opinion. idk how peeps can be skipping it because it’s intellectually powerful. it’s my favorite from the album.
I can totally see that happening. There's so much tension between these two, plus Joe gets really aggressive and heated during each video. Sometimes, you can see by the looks in their eyes, that they're ready to fight. Edit: Changed "too" to "two".
tf? XXX. is one of the standout tracks in the album and they just shit on it for the U2 feature that wasn't even that prominent, and added something chill to the song too.
Akedemiks is wack, TPAB was one of the most amazing rap albums ever made. I still go back to that album today if I want to sit down and listen to some deep shit.
DonPapi well clearly it won’t be good if u can’t get through 30 seconds of it lmao. How about u close ur eyes sit back and listen to the words and sound. You’ll love it
The fact Akademics said he doesn't want to hear "negro spirituals" on a rap album shows he doesn't know music. It's more than rap music it's a art. Kendrick the only one to step out the box and do what the fuck he wants.
No, it just means he doesn't want politics involved in a medium that shouldn't be mutually exclusive to politics. He stated that the first two minutes of this video. Listen, fucking dumbass. Who's your fucking english teacher?
Other than J. Cole, Chance, Logic, Isaiah Rashad, J.I.D, Bas, & MAYBE a few others I can't really name. But, as a heavy Kendrick fan that is understandable.
ok so didnt akademiks say he didnt like eminem because he had no mature content, and here he says he doesnt like kendrick rapping about politics or social issues...like...bruh....make up your mind
Yall overhype it. I'm with Akademiks. I wanted Gkmc part 2 but got a nigga doing a free verse poem on the second track. Foh. By These Walls I couldn't listen nomore. Damn & Gkmc was dope tho.
Fock GooglePlus It’s great. It’ll catch you off guard at first because it’s very conscious and he deals with a lot of the social issues at the time and even now but if you go into with an open mind and give it a couple listens, it’ll get you but it’s not for everyone I’ll tell you that much.
Shit I bumped To Pimp a butterfly for months there was so much depth in that album it wasn't funny. This nigga DJ Akademiks makes shallow ass observations to be doing commentary on rap. Every album has a few bangers. People don't make albums anymore Kendrick makes albums and they bang.
I play it all the time. Its become a necessity of life to at least hear a couple songs from it for motivation. The album is a constant reminder of how this world views me as an "African American". I just loved it!
I'm sorry but Lupe Fiasco did that 3 years ago, not taking away from Kendrick i believe in him to much. Im just saying thats not a valid enough point to make him the greatest.
Lupe hella slept on. Tetsuo and Youth had better production value than TPAB (still think TPAB was more socially relevant at the time) and his latest project DROGAS: Lights makes a mockery of the current state of hip-hop and niggas like DJ Akademiks
mar wan i agree with that. Kendrick has some ways to go before we can fully compare their careers but there are still some comparable categories like flow, versatility, albums, etc. All im saying is we shouldn't dismiss the comparison so easily
'DAMN' was a great return for Kendrick to a more mainstream sound. It falls short of his last two as a project (UNDERSTANDABLE) but it's one of his most eclectic pieces and features some of the most interesting music he's made. 'Lust', 'Element', etc etc
the thing is, TPAB was definitely a 10/10 project, so if your next project isn't as good as a 10/10 project is that really a bad thing? Imo DAMN. is still a 9, which like you said, isnt as good as his last but is still way above everything else thats out right now
So I am I the only one who bumped alright, king kunta, the blacker the berry forever. Also listen to the whole album every so often. Listen to view 3 times and stop listening to drake all together. I'm not the only one
Joshua Ali not at all. I used to mess with Drake heavy but in the past year or two, I just cant. TPAB still jams in my car and Damn has been on replay. Gets better every time I listen. All of Kendricks albums outshines Drakes stuff any day any time
It makes me so mad that they disrespect TPAB like that man. TPAB is in my opinion the greatest album ever made not just Hip-Hop but among all music. It deserves the utmost respect.
John Washington Oh damn not everybody thinks the same. How come every race is allowed to have different opinions but all black people are supposed to think and act the same?
until action is taken its all talk to be truly honest. not much action is ever taken they might do a food drive here and there but thats just a drop in the bucket compared to the bigger problem. now to what you said in your comment, he said he doesnt go to artists to hear pro black thoughts because to him his music is to be listened to be for fun. you can be pro black and not listen to pro black music. theres barely any, anyway.
To this day I still haven't been able to listen to To Pimp a Butterfly, idgaf what anybody says that shit was wack, sure the story or w/e might have been amazing but I'll never know that because the songs were so boring that i couldnt be bothered to listen. That album fundamentally sucked.
cesar mapula fr like no lie i listen to it the other damn right after DAMN i love the jazz shit i grew up with that jazz shit frfr mom uncles etc played frfr all kdot albums got replat vaule to me frfr
the song is polarising because the format is all fucked up meaning people are programmed to hear hip hop one way so it will take time for them to grasp something new
Am I the only one that thinks the album cover for "DAMN." is a sequel for the cover of TPAB. What I think is that he was leading a group of people shown in front of TPAB, BUT because of his outspoken ways, there were killed, taken out, whatever. Notice how he looks tired, wary, yet determined. That's because he's back for revenge. Also notice is "The Heart Pt. 4" he says- "The five foot giant woke up out of his sleep." He's ready to go back to war with rap now (and certain rappers *coughbigseancough*), and that's why he's looking like this, ready to get his group back and create havoc. I also think this is another reason why he is going to drop another project, or at least a group of songs released in the future in rapid succession. Bet if he does drop another album however, it will be with a lot of people, signifying the success of rebuilding his army. Or maybe I'm just tripping and this album cover is just an album cover....
Sm Chapman WOW your idea sent chill through my spine I think your right relateing to the video of DNA and lyrics of Damn hell yeah it makes so much fuckin sense.
Lj the Professor watch god is gansta and at the end of for sale music video it shows him walking and that connects to blood when he says "I was takin a walk the other day" Read the comments to god is gangsta it explains the connection between the two better than I can
I love how this show is exactly how kids and grown ups discuss in the youtube comments. I don't understand why people want akademiks out, it gives us the view from both worlds
Tarik Ajdani The moment he said that fast food quote with his generation. It was over. Joe won. Not all younger generations are dumb but usually those chose to lead are while the smart ones are ousted.
I had never heard DJ Akademiks speak before this, and I never want to hear him speak again. That shit was stupid. How is Joe the sensible nigga in the conversation? Is this really how the 25 and under crowd thinks?
I'm really glad that Joe Buttons is in the show he comes from an era where lyrics and bars and substance and messages mattered on a hip hop album and storytelling so I love the fact that Joe Buttons in this show please leave this show on is one of my favorites thank you from👇 👉👑👈 Freedom
as if Obama is some sort of globally acclaimed music critic hahahaha wtf is your point dude, FOH. music is subjective damnit, when are we gonna quit debating SUBJECTIVE MATERIAL
DJ Akademics always says stupid things but tries to sound intelligent just like most people that really don't understand what hip hop used to be. Honestly I feel like if you don't have the heart to listen to hip hop from the 1980s, 1990s and the 2000s, your entire worldview of hip hop music is drastically thrown off. I'm only 25 years old and I recognize right away that the music from past generations is miles ahead of the stuff coming out now. TPAB and all of Kendrick's music is continuing the basic bar set for hip hop music decades ago so it amazes me just how much it flies over people's heads. I mean damn. Joe Budden shatted on him the entire debate.
Incorrect sir. How can you say miles ahead when musicality is far more improved during modern music. Technically and sonic wise. Not to mention vocally artist in hip hop have transcended.
Oh my god get over it dude, all genres of music change through time because if they dont they get stale and repetitive. Just get over it, rap changed like every genre thats come before it
It's not that. I honestly love the music now but you can't tell me it doesn't sound as polished as the past. I think a lot of it has to do with the way music is produced now. It's all digital mixing instead of analog so it feels microwaveable and not as big. That's what I'm saying. I think we need change. Not everything in hip hop needs to sound like a trap beat with the same damn 808s. Especially since musicality is much more evolved than that.
Memo Sosa There was always thugging, hustling, and gangbanging music. Chicago for example has their own sub-genre called Drill. It's all about violence and gangs. Music is influenced by the streets. And it will continue to be. Gangs got bad between the 90s to now. But they were always trouble so I guess it doesn't change much. Drug dealing is just a way to make money without having to put a suit on or work in a cubicle all day every day. They're still rappers. Just because they trap doesn't mean shit. It just means they aren't some type of pansies. They put work in and now they're trying to make it a different way. For example, Juice from Flatbush Zombies was trapping before the music. He has a kid now.
Darwin Ramirez yeah that was good. You can Tell Joe is trying like hell to contain his disgust for this guy. Look at the way Joes staring at him. He's schooling the kid but he's not even trying to be humble and listen. He's the type of dude I hope gets knocked out just by anybody. Ugh is there anyone who even loves this guy??
I love Joe's input in this show. Akademiks needs to stay on his own lane because he keeps pushing when he insults Joe. The behind the scenes it's more than obvious that they don't like each other.
Akademiks = average soundcloud listener likes mumble rap and the new school, doesn't care for lyricism Joe Budden = old homie in the barber shop who knows real rap and the classics, doesn't like the current state of hip hop
True that why most new school rappers suck in mainstream hip hop in music and skills uses most of the newer hip hop artists songs sound low but high quality and wouldn't last if that stuff played in the 1990's mid 2000's era of music played. And most of the album songs was good on a CD played then the album is successful and rocks even Biggie and Tupac had songs I didn't like but a lot of there music was truly good to listen and play need more artists like J. Cole and Kendric in this newer music era
I ain't seen this episode yet But every episode I watch I like akademiks less and like Joe more. Joe knows what he's saying and akademiks either dickrides or hates on quality stuff. Joe keeps it straight and almost all the time I agree with him
I'm a Lil older so someone break it down for me why can't you wear pants and shoes that match because of the brand? (like I'm deadass serious is it some shit I don't know about or what)
too pimp a butterfly was listened to by me every single day it was a very easy listen for me every single day, everyone has different ear's I'll say and I'm a end it with that.
Evans Alexandre people don't live and breathe music on these platforms it's all personal perspectives with a wall built up behind it people say an album is too whatever to repeat and it makes them sound so small minded at times music is a very complex theme in itself and if it isn't your favorite artist then it's complaining about how deep something is but honestly I get the agenda of delivering information to the public it's better to be entertaining than being honest with truth and knowledge.
John Hurd wow amen again dude. At the end of day it's bigger than rap, and personally that's what makes kendricks albums so special to me. I wish more people would talk more passionately about the music instead of comparing and contrasting and nitpicking and etc. But you right, unfortunately the masses need to be entertained
Evans Alexandre I know Kendrick Lamar will pass away as we all will one day, people need to listen up and if no is the answer then keep that reason to yourself, broadcasting opinion's dont do anything for the "culture" it catapults your podcast streams and it gets you mentioned on "complex" or TH-cam, people truly don't know how to not like something because not liking someone is "original" and not too many people are original anymore especially in the business, it's been copy paste this and copy paste that for sometime, if you dont like Kendrick Lamar dont speak on it because when you don't truly and purely like someone their name doesn't come out of your know mouth, the platform you are on promotes that language so you figure I'm gonna wait until the release date of DAMN to say I didn't really like the album, wow such great marketing skills my friend way to go, but where was you when Section 80 dropped? don't wait until 2017 and you have a platform on Complex to say you don't like someone's music in general, even the hate is false people talk about fake love but what needs to be talked about is fake hate as well.
Louis Nevers pretty early in the year for such assumptions i dont think ittl be the best album since theyre are so many other music genres but yall hiphopheads dont think about culture outside your circle much but itl be best hip hop album probaply since kendrick makes good music period not just good hip hop you know its when your music can be enjoyed by people that dont just mainly listen too that genre

Akademiks... Kendrick isn't giving you your political views. He's giving you his own.
"I don't want to hear sociopolitical stuff from rappers" this is what's wrong with the industry today.
One Dead Pixel how?
S7at Blakk that's where you're wrong buddy boy and even if it was created on a sociopolitical movement why does that matter?

Dj Akademicks has a hard job... He is the defender of low complexity music.
The Kelly Ann Conway of Hip Hop
Nabil Jawad
That's spot on!
It’s not the fact that he likes low complexity music, not every artist has to make complex music, it’s the fact that he can’t accept or appreciate that Kendrick makes music that you have to think about to understand the meaning.
Unfortunately his job is becoming easier and easier as time moves on.
Y'all really skipping XXX? It was a pretty powerful and good track
It's Leet bro fr that beat is crazy
That track is my favorite on the album, aside from that part of the song with U2 lol
that song is one the deepest tracks in my opinion. idk how peeps can be skipping it because it’s intellectually powerful. it’s my favorite from the album.

Xavier Marshall lmaoooo right
Xavier Marshall I just said that bruh in my head I thought I was the only one who thought that lmao
I can totally see that happening. There's so much tension between these two, plus Joe gets really aggressive and heated during each video. Sometimes, you can see by the looks in their eyes, that they're ready to fight.
Edit: Changed "too" to "two".
Xavier Marshall fax lol😂
Xavier Marshall He better. Nigga needs to get checked.

Man... how can you say XXX w/U2 was a Wack song? The lyrical content is incredibly meaningful and moving.
The Cassius Morris Show top songs for me
i don’t think they’ve looked too in depth into the song because lyrically and intellectually, it’s an exceptional track.
It’s so amazing. It’s all written on the premise of a pacifist being forced to acknowledge that he would kill the person that killed his loved one.
also sonically & instrumentally the song BANGS idk why someone would say it’s terrible
Yea this song (and album in general) has aged like fine wine… it’s def a classic
Akademiks literally has the worst opinions
Christian Cain yes he fucking does!!
couldn't be more right
The fucking worst
he was on livestream the night of release talking about the album being boring and he wouldn't listen to it again
This the same man who stans drake😂
Academiks doesn't want to hear Kendrick rap about that "pro-black militant" stuff... but all his favorite rappers mumble over trap beats? IGNORANT

Joe got so much contempt for him tho
haha Joe needs to control his temper.
Lmfao story telling my nigga . Kendrick Lamar talks about the same shit every song and it’s bullshit.
The fact Akademics said he doesn't want to hear "negro spirituals" on a rap album shows he doesn't know music. It's more than rap music it's a art. Kendrick the only one to step out the box and do what the fuck he wants.
Alexander Hodge no he's not the only one lol

I used to hate Joe Budden because he always used to disagree with my opinions but I see that he actually uses facts and numbers to back up his points.
Will Thweatt lmao can you name one fact or number he used here?
The projected sales for Damn are over 400,000.
It makes me so mad that they disrespect TPAB like that man. TPAB is in my opinion the greatest album ever made not just Hip-Hop but among all music. It deserves the utmost respect.
I’m saying the same thing! 🤔 was and is still the most amazing album I’ve ever listened to
Still.
I hate to hear a black man say he don't wanna hear pro black wtf
John Washington Oh damn not everybody thinks the same. How come every race is allowed to have different opinions but all black people are supposed to think and act the same?
John Washington I don't want to hear it either
until action is taken its all talk to be truly honest. not much action is ever taken they might do a food drive here and there but thats just a drop in the bucket compared to the bigger problem. now to what you said in your comment, he said he doesnt go to artists to hear pro black thoughts because to him his music is to be listened to be for fun. you can be pro black and not listen to pro black music. theres barely any, anyway.
Imxortal LOL internet ignorance, and before you attack me I'm not super into blm. Your comment was just stupid
To this day I still haven't been able to listen to To Pimp a Butterfly, idgaf what anybody says that shit was wack, sure the story or w/e might have been amazing but I'll never know that because the songs were so boring that i couldnt be bothered to listen.
That album fundamentally sucked.
I'm honestly quickly losing respect for Akademiks watching these complex videos
Owen Parker he's exposing himself..he ain't to deep..kinda shollow
Owen Parker lmao, the more I watch the less I'm liking him and the more I start to like Joe
"Which means it's fucking low in quality!" 😂😭 Joe too real.
Wtf I still listen to TPAB daily to this day. Replay value? Akademiks does not speak for all millennials, just the wack ones.
cesar mapula fr like no lie i listen to it the other damn right after DAMN i love the jazz shit i grew up with that jazz shit frfr mom uncles etc played frfr all kdot albums got replat vaule to me frfr
cesar mapula u gotta be playing with all that frfr shit
cesar mapula he sounds like a complete fucking tool. why does his opinion even matter.
i listen to the first half of tpab almost everyday
cesar mapula FACTS!! Akademiks gets his opinion from drake stans in ovo forums.
Everybody skipped the track with U2 but then came back around and realized it was fire.
Daniel Mercedes The only tacks that were weak on DAMN are Loyalty, Love, and Fear.
CrazyJay 5000 no way loyalty is a rlly good song and fear has one of Kendrick’s best verses ever
@@CrazyJay-nb3wg All 3 are fire
Still listening to DAMN. The Entire album...
Still bumming till this day
I barely started this year cause I wasnt touching any rap for a minute but damn lol it was good
_STILL!_
Y'all won't listen to xxx because u2 is on the track? That's the dumbest petty shit I've ever heard in music reviews.....just wow
the song is polarising because the format is all fucked up meaning people are programmed to hear hip hop one way so it will take time for them to grasp something new
Dumbest shit because it's one of just a few tracks that doesn't bore the fuck outta me
Garrett Steinbrink no offense but if your white a lot of these songs on the album will not resignat with you well.
No. He won't listen to the song because it was wack and u2 happened to be on it. Dumb fuck
Masabi Beatz show your work. How is it a "wack" track.
To say TPAB didn't have lasting power. GTFOH
XXX. was one of the best tracks in the album
Absolute nonsense. The picture was taken outside of the building where the KFC used to be where Daddy Duckworth almost got clipped.
Lj the Professor watch god is gansta and at the end of for sale music video it shows him walking and that connects to blood when he says "I was takin a walk the other day"
Read the comments to god is gangsta it explains the connection between the two better than I can
I love how this show is exactly how kids and grown ups discuss in the youtube comments. I don't understand why people want akademiks out, it gives us the view from both worlds
Tarik Ajdani I'm younger than Akademics and he's a idiot
Tarik Ajdani same I'm younger than him he's a fucking dumbass
Tarik Ajdani The moment he said that fast food quote with his generation. It was over. Joe won. Not all younger generations are dumb but usually those chose to lead are while the smart ones are ousted.
I was listening to TPAB just about everyday the year it came out
I had never heard DJ Akademiks speak before this, and I never want to hear him speak again. That shit was stupid. How is Joe the sensible nigga in the conversation? Is this really how the 25 and under crowd thinks?
Simone Tims I'm 20 and Akademiks is just stupid
^ I'm 16 and I agree that most listeners my age have no attention span when it comes to music. fast food
XXX is probably my 3rd favorite song on the album. If you don't like the song you probably haven't heard past 1:19. He goes hard in that song.
Fear, DNA, XXX
I'm really glad that Joe Buttons is in the show he comes from an era where lyrics and bars and substance and messages mattered on a hip hop album and storytelling so I love the fact that Joe Buttons in this show please leave this show on is one of my favorites thank you from👇
👉👑👈
Freedom
Budden
You prolly sad as hell
Kendrick: Maybe I'm a dreamer bc sleep is the cousin of death. Stuck in the scheme of wonderin' when imma rest
Drake: I DONT TAKE NAPS
Lmao rs tho
Buba Buba 😂😂
Dumb nigga go quote 'donnot disturb
Mohamin cfc MUSCLE RELAX
Let them hate on Drake.
Even Obama is saying that Kendrick is better than Drake. Get over it man.
Fire Lacrima Kendrick's way better. No contest.
as if Obama is some sort of globally acclaimed music critic hahahaha wtf is your point dude, FOH. music is subjective damnit, when are we gonna quit debating SUBJECTIVE MATERIAL
Heelin Off24/7 I'll take Obama's opinion over Akademik's any day lol.
0:25 this was the beginning of him trying to be Drake’s side piece. The album ended up doing 603k first week and outsold More Life 🤣🤣🤣
DJ Akademics always says stupid things but tries to sound intelligent just like most people that really don't understand what hip hop used to be. Joe Budden shatted on him the entire debate.
glad we're not alone out here I really get down to the classics people think I'm an old soul. Lol
Kendrick and U2 track was LITTTT
I swear that last "what does it mean to last" question had me dead 💀💀😂😂😂😂
I wish Joe Budden swung at DJ Drakademiks 8:16 lmao I was crying when he yelled at him.
Complex about to send akademiks straight back to his TH-cam channel
Irving Cabrera hope so because he don't know shit
Irving Cabrera complex need akademiks, not the other way round😂
I’m here from the future they actually kicked joe out
Joe Buddens opinions are the only thing that makes this show watchable.. Them other two 👎👎👎👎
GET DJ AKADEMIKS OUT THIS SHOW! HE DOESN'T KNOW WHAT HE'S TALKING ABOUT.
If they got him out the show nobody would watch this anymore. 70% of the audience is watching because of him.
Little Jimmy Scumbag 70% of the audience are idiots
Lol fast forward 7 years😂
akademiks dresscode changed from justin bieber to 40 year old white dad real quick 😭😭
deran YS 40 year old dad? How about 16 year old computer nerd..
deran YS What 40 year old dad wears a $200 robin jeans t shirt? But fr how could akademiks spend so much money on clothes and still look like shit?
It’s 2020 and I still bump to section 80
Great album
Akademiks opinion on Tpab is so shallow.
Tevin Green His taste in music isn't advanced enough.
he basically said “I don’t like music that has purpose”
Akademiks is only good for reporting drama shit. Nosy little ass. Joe was right to leave
Akademiks = average soundcloud listener likes mumble rap and the new school, doesn't care for lyricism
Joe Budden = old homie in the barber shop who knows real rap and the classics, doesn't like the current state of hip hop
Where are the hip hop fans who bump MF doom,Nas,Famous dex and lil yachty niggas who like the new shit and old shit I feel like I'm a rare breed
I fuck with all of it too
We are, most people stick to the blacks and whites, it's human nature to prefer clear-cut extremes rather than find a nice middle ground.
PRESTON STANLEY lil yachty shit anyways
True that why most new school rappers suck in mainstream hip hop in music and skills uses
most of the newer hip hop artists songs sound low but high quality and wouldn't last if that stuff played in the 1990's mid 2000's era of music played.
And most of the album songs was good on a CD played then the album is successful and rocks even Biggie and Tupac had songs I didn't like but a lot of there music was truly good to listen and play need more artists like J. Cole and Kendric in this newer music era
2 years later still bumping TPAB and DAMN........ DAILY
XXX is a fucking amazing song.
the starts too slow but the main verse is one of the best of the album
THANK YOU. The story painted and the irony that Kendrick was amazing. He made a movie in just 5 minutes.
I can already see the djvlad headline 'joe Budden calls future garbage'
andres marquez he is garbage tho
andres marquez 😂😂💀
andres marquez "joe budden snaps and breaks chair over akedemiks head"
I ain't seen this episode yet
But every episode I watch I like akademiks less and like Joe more.
Joe knows what he's saying and akademiks either dickrides or hates on quality stuff.
Joe keeps it straight and almost all the time I agree with him
Akademiks! You CANNOT wear Yeezys with those G-Unit ass jeans ! You just can't !
GOLFWANGx FACTS LMAOOO
I know right
Let the dude be, he just fat
PicturesJester & that's why I'm giving him a FATASS L
I'm a Lil older so someone break it down for me why can't you wear pants and shoes that match because of the brand? (like I'm deadass serious is it some shit I don't know about or what)
This was actually a perfect show
He said 2 months, it's been 3 and Kdot just went double platinum. You tried
okay i realize the female is the referee/mediator
D. Bynum this is the music/entertainment version of first take
Damn Joe is just spitting the truest shit!!!!
Nytly it seems it took a lot for Joe not to just smack this bitch nigga
Almost 5 years later DAMN is still being listened to and being played still by a lot of people
More life has completely come and gone, I don't know what this girl is talking about.
X'O Host and it's still being played everywhere, radios, clubs etc..
Horrible forecast...I'm still rockin Kendrick's album
I still am too
They Tripping xxx is like the 4th or 5th best song from the album
I still listen to GKMC, Section 80 and TPAB, Kendrick is fire!
Lol damn just got confirmed platinum ☝🏽
Bran Hugh 2x platinum now
Bran Hugh 4x now
I still listen to the whole album to this day and I know I’m not alone
Akademiks needs some Academics.
too pimp a butterfly was listened to by me every single day it was a very easy listen for me every single day, everyone has different ear's I'll say and I'm a end it with that.
John Hurd amen
This album still being played on the radio in 2018
Nathan Lambaren yep
wtf is akademiks wearing
who dis yeezys with big ass G unit jeans and a bedazzled ass shirt lmao
bruhh lmfao
He can't dress for shit, like wtf is that?
Dosent akademiks trash kendrick on twitch all the time?
Sorta yeah
How Sway No tf he doesn't
How Sway y'all starting shit
he kinda does actually
Im gonna be honest, Damn is my favourite kendrick project
Not his best album but still 9/10.
Will inevitably be Album of the Year.
Louis Nevers depends who's album drops this year but I agree
Darrel Be you are right. It'll be album of the year only if k-dot doesn't drop another album this year.
poetmm if Ye drops this year I'll give you everything i own
Louis Nevers pretty early in the year for such assumptions
i dont think ittl be the best album since theyre are so many other music genres
but yall hiphopheads dont think about culture outside your circle much
but itl be best hip hop album probaply
since kendrick makes good music period not just good hip hop
you know its when your music can be enjoyed by people that dont just mainly listen too that genre
Louis Nevers not album of the year sampha is going to win that unless Taylor swift comes out with some bs
Nigga look dead straight at budden with that 'okay nigga' look face and said "am i a slave nigga" 😂😂 shit had me rolling
