I have enjoyed all of these arcades in downtown Cleveland my entire life. Most of the times I used them to cut through as a shortcut. I got to really enjoy the window shopping in these many unique small shops. The Old Arcade is the grand daddy of them all, amazing brass and copper ornate railings, the huge glass roof, the ornate marble floors. I really liked the 2 clocks on the bridge in the center of the arcade. There used to be a little coffee shop under the stairs that I'd grab a coffee daily on my downtown travels. The first 2 floors were retail, and the upper floors were business offices. My lawyer had a office there and the offices were just as beautiful as the arcade. Hyatt owns it and the top floors are hotel rooms. I would love to spend a night there and look out my window to this arcade below. Weddings are often held here, and also a great photo opportunity. My Dad brought me here as a youngster and I was amazed at the glass decorated design in the steps with the lights on the underneath. Well, welcome to Cleveland Doomie, there are many gems like this in the area!
I stepped inside 5th street arcade during a trip in October 2021 and took a few photos. This was before I was even interested in malls! Very nice video!
what a gorgeous cleveland arcade... can easily rival the arcades in europe. I know this city has seen better days (as with many US cities) but i have always like the architecture and buildings of downtown cleveland. My faves are the Terminal building and the Key Tower! maybe i will visit one day from San Francisco :D
The Cleveland Arcade is really gorgeous, and the 5th Arcade is eye-catching! It's a shame that most of malls today aren't architecturally interesting as these places still alive are.
I wish more of the retail enthusiast channels would document these old amazing arcades. I have been to several but only filmed a few. Even the smaller arcades that are now just full of attorney and real estate offices… they need to be captured and shared. As mixed use spaces with no design or quality features are starting their take over, we need to all see what actual craftsmanship was in our country not too long ago.😢
If I won Megabucks I would live in the hotel (you can see the lobby entrance in the arcade, in between two storefronts) and just walk around and shop for anything I needed.
I visited Cleveland last summer and really wanted to see these places, but downtown freaked me out a bit so I didn't roam far from my hotel except to go to the Christmas Story House lol I prefer to just watch videos so thank you!
Hey Cleveland, give 2 yrs free upfront. Your not making anything now, but signed contracts for 5 more years..bringing in all the popular merchandise, but many ethnic shops . Italian, Poilish , German, Mexican , Chinese, Middleeastern.
Thanks and almost forgot, Keep em Rolling!

Both Arcades are Gorgeous looks like something you'd see in Europe
Cleveland and Chicago are fascinating cities. Both have so many cool places like this to look at!
Glad you were able to video these places and as usual you have done a fantastic job in presenting these places in your videos, Keep em Rolling!

This is a stunning building.

Wow what gorgeous buildings! They sure aren’t built like that anymore.
If you want a view of the Cleveland Arcade filled to the top with people, go there on St. Paddy's day. It's hectic and awesome.
1st. That is a kewl looking place. They knew how to build some nice places in the early 20th Century.

Nice!
Looks cool!!!
These remind of a enclosed main street
I used to eat lunch here all the time in the 90s. A Greek food place had the best rice pudding too.
I love those historic arcade type malls
Baltimore had Browns arcade on Charles st i believe it's sadly converted into apartments now
next mall. one monument way and Maine Coast Mall.

Is Winston Salem more dangerous than Greensboro?

beautiful Victorian old style, they don’t build them like this anymore
Pretty

Cute
But Detroit is now better than Cleveland.
Both of these arcades are so nice. My favourite one is the Cleveland arcade even though the food court looks so random.😊🤎
