I have added the "Thanks" button (above), small channel donations will help keep me going in 2024 ♥
Regular S with V8 would be the one for me. Looking forward to that review
Thank you Euro 7 regulations. V8 engines live on!
Can believe it’s 20 years old. I feel old remembering the 53 Reg coming out and everyone saying how ugly it was. And it sold ace.
Great reviews 👍
Thanks Joe! Looks really great.
Best review out here❤❤❤❤❤
Glad to see you reviewing cars other than BMW’s for a change!!😉
Great review! Looking forward to your Cayenne S V8 review!!
How does it compare to BMW X5 50e? I believe X5 is quicker, isn't it?
Loved this thank you Joe! I currently have the S-e hybrid, but I have the turbo on order so this was exactly what I was looking for!!! Great review thank you. I’d be interested on your thoughts on the chassis options if you got to try a few? 🙏🙏🙏 keep up the great work and hope to see you back at Daytona again someday ;)
Totally different cars, but the shot that begins at @1:35 reminds me of Marcus pushing Mike's 964-gen 911 Tubo to the limit in Bad Boys (1995). It just gives such a sense of occasion! Love it! Such a beautifully engineered car. Punch it!

Great video, shame the picture resolution is quite low. Keep well fella.
I love the e-hybrid stuff but I don't see the point of "dynamic driving" a 2.5+ ton SUV. I get it that it's fast bc tech, but size and weight wise it is not fit for most uk roads. Imho if your usage fits it then get the S e-hyb.
Quite a lot cheaper than a Dakar, and better off-road!
Where in Spain were you driving? Spectacular pinnacles and scenery!
Love my gts, would like to try out a turbo s to see how much of a jump it is
Joe - I am in the market for an S E-hybrid. Do you know if your tester had PDCC? I am really conflicted about that
Cayenne VS Dakar would be interesting 👌
Could you get the base Cayenne for a review? - more affordable, thx Joe
Still waiting for the follow-up with the turbo. Any news when that would be online?
do you know why Porsche stop the delivery for the Cayenne hybrid almost 7000 cars are in the situation. The cars are in the distributor office and impossible for them to deliver to the buyers even if the cars were paid.
how does it compare to an Urus or x5 comp - am torn on my next purchase!
I have a Taycan Turbo and trading mine in for a Cayenne eHybrid. Hate EV -- too much hassle to plug in. But you nailed it... Real V6/V8 engines feel "more organic". As for cost savings... That is BS. Electricity in the States almost equals fuel cost.
If pluging in the charger is too much of hassle why on earth you would get an eHybrid Cayenne? You need to charge that too, and in case you just dont then you have a extra battery weight to drive around and waste fuel on.
@@simob7__ I'll tell you smart ass... Again, how many EV's have you owned? The Taycan Turbo is my second. I had a Taycan Turbo S prior to the one I have... I have tons of experience. Range anxiety is the #1 reason not to buy an EV. Twice -- I was in a stones throw of running out of electricity because I forgot to plug in. A hybrid avoids that ugly fate. #2 is that you cant take an EV on long drives unless you are willing to add tons of time to your travels -- especially if you are going for a days trip. #3, I do have a charger at home -- if not, you are crazy to buy an EV, but even with a charger at home -- either my wife, my kids or I forget to charge it... Next day you can get screwed. Last, you dont save a dime in costs... EV's cost almost as much electricity than fuel -- especially if Trump was President... Sure if a bozo like Biden and his climate nuts are around, they want high gas prices -- even then, I only save maybe $1,000 per year after shelling out a ton for the electric. Gas is real easy... 3 minutes and you have another 500 miles. I do like the idea of an EV -- but the inconvenience is crazy -- so a hybrid fixes that.
V8 S model 👌🏻
I'll stick with my 2011 Porsche Cayenne Turbo less things to go wrong don't have to worry about a battery breaking on me and cost me a fortune about almost 500 horsepower is plenty 0-60 4.5 is enough. What the price that they're asking for the 2024 model I could use that extra money for a Giac stage 1 package cosmetics and upgrade brakes. And still have money to save
In the real world the range on fully charged battery is 18-19 miles I'm most disappointed in battery range on mine.
Just bought 4 BMW 530d’s. Garaged and valeted by my son….the future
I made a long test drive of V8 and regular e-hybrid. And i can tell you that S V8 low end torque is too low. I think due to they changed twin scroll turbos to single scroll turbos. So in the city it lacks of power, you have to push it hard. I liked e-hybrid. I dont think it is slower than V8
I'm waiting for the GTS.
V8, no extra weight from the battery and capable of real towing.
Cayenne w/o V8: It's ok, but it is a bit too reasonable.
So I'm with you, from these two, the "Turbo e-hybrid" is the one to get.
Seems like they’re trying to entirely replace the gts with the cayenne s. I don’t think they’ll make one
@@geeb3505 Wait for it.
It should be introduced in spring, first deliveries from late July/August
@@marca.w.7237 I am patiently waiting for it . I currently drive a 2018 gts and will never get rid of it until they release a gts that looks better. Gts models are usually late to the original lineup by 1-2 years. We saw the same with the 2021 model. My guess is 2025
@@geeb3505 I guess the more problems they'll have with the e-hybrid line-up, the earlier we've got a chance to get hands on a GTS
If and when solid state batteries make an appearance this will be made to look like a dinosaur. Until then, amazing car!
What about the reliability of the lithium ion batteries? Do they have an 8 year warranty and Porsche has had a lot of problems with some of their EV cars which they have tried to hide from their customers. Any problems reported yet?
To me the only good reason for a hybrid is that you can be a pal and drive electrical in city areas where pollution is already a problem. What I hear is that if you count everything including production EVs are NOT what they are pumped up to be. I like cars and therefor I like motors and I don't see any argument for EVs besides population control.
Porsche interiors are some how great at the time and also shite in a few years.....get in a macan or cayenne from a previous generation and it just looks like a dogs dinner.
Too much going on.
This looks great but somehow it also looks dated compared with Audi and BMW....same with lexus they just neverr get it right, IMO...sounds like a contradiction but somehow its true
I like buttons.
‘Electrical motor’? Think you mean ‘electric motor’?
Interesting review but that car is dull as AF. Looks like it was designed by a committee. Appreciate the vid tho!
Sorry Joe but not at all interested in hybrid cars or EV’s so watched first 1 minute and stopped.
Good for you 😂 Glad you felt the need to hang around another 30 seconds and let me know in the comments.
Awww get used to it smiffy ya wee soppy tart
@@MattHealey. Ev’s aren’t the answer to anything in 20 years they won’t exist!
electric vehicles, that take twelve hours to charge and can only take you fifty miles! Hybrid vehicles is the way to go!
Oh. You‘re still in 2005.
2.5 hrs…
