Castelo Branco Castle | A Walk in the City and Eating Out!

We visited Castelo Branco Castle in the heart of historic, Castelo Branco City, Central Portugal and explored the old quarter of town with its narrow streets and tightly packed buildings - mostly old. Then, we headed over to the Indian restaurant - "A Taste of India" for some delicious food.
The castle (constructed in 1214) was once a stronghold for the Knights Templar, and sits on a hill where an earlier Roman settlement was situated.
The town gradually spread out from the hill, becoming the both ancient and modern city it is today.
