    Always recommend adding a catch can to any car or truck. This Catch Can is built so much better than any I have used in the past! Tools and website links under description...

      Email us direct at: APDEG@aol.com if your interested in testing a true air/oil separating crankcase evacuation designed for these. Would love to send you a system to evaluate.

      Jeff Clayton thanks Jeff. This one seems to be built the best out of all that I’ve used in the past but unfortunately it’s price reflects that too 🤦‍♂️

    You might check to see if that open breather is creating a vacuum leak. I put open breathers on my truck and then realized the PCV is plumbed post-MAF and resulted in unmetered air.

      I’ll double check and at the least add a wire tie. Thanks for the advice 👍

      Because the valve cap is different on LS7 than ls9 and these kits are for z06 we had to drill out the valve cap while waiting on new cap from MM solutions. If there is a leak at all now it will be there. So hopefully by end of this week will be 110%. I don’t think there is any leaks now though at all. But to be safe I ordered the zr1 valve cap

      @@OnlinecarshowNet1 Maybe those catch cans have a check valve or something. It seems to me that "pirate" air will enter through the fresh airs on the valve covers AND through the breather. Get the car up to temp and seal the breather with a plastic bag. Let me know if the fuel trims change at idle....I'm curious.

    • @camaromustangmods3327
      @camaromustangmods3327 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's not an open breather. It only opens on pressure and is sealed.

      @@camaromustangmods3327 I knew it had to have some kind of valve. Is the valve in the breather itself?

    What kind of hose is necessary for catch can back to intake? The 3/4" heater hose that I used collapses. Heat from the engine makes the hose pliable, and the intake's vacuum pressure causes it to collapse.

    • @OnlinecarshowNet1
      @OnlinecarshowNet1  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I used a 3/4 inch silicone hose I ordered. I like the silicone better just for that reason. It’s glossy black exterior with a red interior on the hose I bought. If that helps...

    Would this be the best catch can for the 2019 Ram? Will one fit my 2019 Ram 1500 5.7L with the e-torque? If so, where can I get it cheapest, Amazon?

      Contact Houston Performance Solutions. He gave me a good deal. I really like this can a lot. It has mesh on inside, breather filter, easy drain valve, and most importantly all metal. I know a lot of people like mishimoto but to be honest I had issue with their plastic fittings. With heat I found they would loosen up. This can is made with way better materials. I also ordered a different elbow later on from their site. So they sell different fittings if you need.

    How much crank case pressure does this add?

      With a breather on top none. It needs to be a closed system to have vacuum. I tried multiple set ups . 1.5 liter ecotec engine. Crankcase positive pressure, 3 psi.

    Did anyone try installing a catch can on the 2005-2010 Honda Odyssey? Mine has an unusual PCV shape. Please let me know if installing the catch can on the 2010 Odyssey is possible. Thank you

    What about crankcase pressure increases? Have you measured them with/without the catch can? and what is the engine spec for safe Crankcase pressure range?

    • @OscyJack-
      @OscyJack- ปีที่แล้ว

      There are no pressure increases with the mightymouse. If the crankcase pressure overcomes with vacuum, the can itself will allow the escape of that pressure through the top filter.

      Not sure to be honest. The mishimoto are good but I recommend changing their plastic inlet/outlet AN fittings for metal/aluminum. Not sure if they carry for that car but be a good place to start.
