Hi can you tell me if the pro edge would help me , on the left stick when playing to push the stick to the right to run ,can you adjust the stick so you don’t have to hold it all the way to the right can it be set to only half way , I have arthritis in my left thumb so find it hard to keep pushing over . One question, if I use it on the cable do I have to change how the control communicates with the video game through console settings to have less inputlag or does it automatically as soon as I put the cable in the controller? I already tried it and with the naked eye I didn't feel any difference in some games I tested playing with cable and without is the same for me I don't know if I'm doing it wrong.
Hi, you must also Change it in console settings to USB, some games are already fast enough so you won't feel it, for example cod is so fast even with Bluetooth
please compare the lag of a game installed in good m2 drive, compared playing to the PS5 storage. if there is any difference for competitive we would like to know it

Hi, I recommend using a back button for the fastest response! That's even faster than R2.

Gonna buy this for final fantasy 16. I don’t use the additional buttons but the controller looks slick and comfy lol
Once you try additional buttons for a few hours, you can't play without them haha, and the feeling yes, I can't use Normal DualSense anymore, that feels uncomfortable now.
I think I’m gonna get the DS edge just for the changeable sticks. I have had the ps5 slim for a 2 or three months. And the right stick already has a A bad potentiometer. I took it apart and discovered that one of the contacts , )on the wiper had completely worn off and was scratching potentiometer ( there are three contact arms). I bent it so it would even touch the potentiometer and it cured the stick drift.

Hey dude. Was wondering if you could help me, I'm playing the Witcher 3 on ps5 (latest update) HDR looks great but the sun is like a well defined pale disc. Every video I've seen of this game doesn't have this. I'm on a lg C2. All properly callibrated (+14 clicks on first two screens, 0 clicks for last) I've tried hgig, DTM on and off, nothing helps. I know it's minor but it's quite distracting. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi, Unfortunately I didn't play Witcher 3 on PS5 at all, so I'm not sure which game settings could help with that. but overall ensure to not compare the look on your TV to TH-cam videos, as those videos are in SDR and not true output.

4:40 idk if anyone else has had this happen to them but this works on call of duty a couple times, i used a ftac recon a few games and i tap the trigger once and it fired like 3 quick shots, i been trying forever to figure out how to do it, it happens every other game

I would do that along with Square or Circle, I use left one for jump usually.
Use the left for jump so it doesn’t effect your aim(right stick)

What about games that already have a deadzone setting? Do I put the in game deadzones to 0 and then change each stick accordingly? Wish we could just disable all controller settings if we wanted too
Yeah, most online games have it, like COD, OW2, Apex, and The Finals, but there are also games which don't give you the settings.
For MW2 do you change the settings to linear in the game menus?

These are all on PS5, I used PC for test while it was connected to PS5 so the delay is for PS5, and new Dualshocks are also faster with Cable.

The difference though is not much even in older models, it won't have jitter with cable at least
Can you only change trigger input for L2 and R2 or can you also change it for L1 and R1? I use L1 and R1 for cod as its faster so will i see any benefit with this edge controller compared to the regular ps5 controller?
L1 and R1 doesn't have zones so trigger effect won't work on them and you don't need it, works good normally
@@DanielZH also if i keep my controller plugged in everytime i play does it affect battery? i play cod so i always have usb cable connected whenever i play and i heard you say it can kill the battery
@@DDomaaa No, the controller stops charging once it's full and passthrough the power, so the batter will be fine, but let it dry once a month at least for better life cycle.
As i only shoot bumper this was the first thing i tested and altough i dont have any measuring device i got enough hours to have the r1 press memorized. Tested it by pushing simultaniously, measured the distance between the top of the bumper and top of the controller when pressed and last trying the distance with closed eyes just for the feel. The result: the edge bumper sticks out a little more, it has just slightly less travel time to the full press(still see half of it when pressed) and overall feels more firm and clicky even though it has no click
Couldnt measure the exact activating point so not sure if its actualy faster but it definitely feels like it and the fingers are more relaxed with rapid ads

I need help with my Dualsense Edge R2 button. Whenever I shoot something, sometimes the R2 button fires randomly for no reason.
There might be some issues with input, try deadzone input on 1-2-3 and see where it fixes.
Does the Zero Zone Limiter works on all games or just games that have this feature build-in?

Is r1 still faster even if you lower the r2 trigger deadzone, i tested my self yesterday and i couldnt see a difference between r1 and r2

In most shooter games yes it does! in some cases R2 could be faster.

Hi, as soon as the Battery is fully charged, it'll pass through the power, however, even if it doesn't (some older dual sense don't) it would be fine; it won't cause issues, as it just charges when it's under 85%.
Are the profile saved on the controller and can you take those settings and use it on PC ?

Question : Everytime I screen share or save screenshots in PS5, my input latency becomes worse even when playing offline, so I need to restart my console again to refresh and avoid that input lag. Second day with Edge. No lights on controller. Settings show the brightness as bright (standard). Any idea how to get lights on controller? Only tiny light in middle on. Very odd
Hi, does it turn on when charging? There might be an issue with the LED Ribbon cable.
@@DanielZH thanks for the reply. Yes now it does. I turned on and off and might have been the fix. The little blue light is on and all others are off. I think that right and lights turn on near pad if game has lights built in. Like God Rag or others.

Hi, are you sure the input lag is caused by the controller, or the game, or your network? there are many things to consider, first try using USB method in console and the controller and see if that fixes the issue.

Still i am facing the input lag.
Another thing, i only start facing the input lag after playing 4-5 games which is like 30 mins in total time.

Hi, in which game? For overwatch, I used the back button as R2 alone with R2 from zone 1 to 2; right before you reach to last part of R2 (which is dead) it would take enough time to consider it as done, so if you press back button at the end of R2 it'll shoot a second round, however, as I checked it, it doesn't register in the mag, but it does the damage.
What did u have the dead zones set as. Also is it faster to have the dead zones from o to 1. Or 99 to 100. I experience a lot of lag in the form of getting hit by 2 bullets and dying and I have to shoot 10 to 12 bullets. I'm just trying to even the playing field a little. I'm playing battle field by the wat
@@jessicamckinney7508 Oh it really depends on the game, 99-100 faster as you're at the end and can push faster, yet I recommend you map R2 to back buttons and then push both to see the real power haha. I didn't test Battle field weapons so I'm not sure what they require for rapid fire I must test.

@@ZenixGaming_ The polling rate on PS5 with cable is 1000Hz and that is 1ms. However the in-game delay is based on other factors

@@DanielZH When you open the map while playing call of duty, the aim moves by itself, the gamepad tester is also 0.00392, I'm not sure if this is normal
@@mambaout2437 oh it's not normal, but as you're on the PC, I would say maybe deadzone is set to 0, so I can't tell, using DSX can show you how much of drift you have on a scale of 0-128 in each part and if it is above 2 it's not normal.

@@mambaout2437 yeah it's fine, 0 dead zone isn't good as even the best controller has a little drifting, going above 0.05 to 0.2 is normal and if DSX is normally on 128, it is fine no problem

Additionally, do you have GG engine EQ settings(warzone footsteps) for steelseries headsets for console. There's a whole community that's been asking for this but no one has answers and steelseries is only supporting the community with Sonar settings which is useless to console players.
@@bluetorque2385 I'll be checking that for warzone, about the headset, as I don't have any steelseires, I can't recommend anything specifically, once I get one of them, I start making videos for that too, but I don't know which model is the most popular among console players.
Most of the steelseries 7P+ models are what people are mostly using for this game.

I didn't play that with Edge, but I assume using back buttons for shooting would be the fastest, after that, R1.

Hi, With one of the Fn buttons held down, press the Options button. in a profile or custom profile, you can change vibration settings.

You will not get banned and that trick is not new and a ton of people are doing it 👍🏻 it’s not cheating.
Thanks for the info, because normally with 0-255 it won't work, you'll need 0.15 seconds delay from 250 to 0 then go high again, normally only cheating devices can do the timing, but with Edge, if you set in dead to a number where it takes that time for you finger as usaul it's possible to do easily, not fair though.

@@americanagent I just downloaded the PNG file, then masked the gamepad viewer sticks, and buttons with Photoshop and used them on OBS, it needs some time but you can do it.

Lengh limiter to zone 3, R2 from 30 to 100, then try to go back in like 0.3seconds for the second shot, with a little practice you'll get it!

Depending on the game, you can switch to R1 to get that effect or use the physical length limiter for that.

Hold on… your information might be incorrect… What are you basing your input lag time information on?
Many people have done tests and for both PS4 and PS5 controllers, input delay is actually longer when wired…. Less possible input inconsistency due to not being affected by interference, but slower than bluetooth strangely for sony controllers.
The only way to get a faster response is to connect controller to a PC and force higher polling rate, which is not even possible on console.
Rocket Science and some other channels have videos with test results for a bunch of controllers, and they all have the opposite conclusion as what you’re suggesting. Might want to do your own tests for input delay and correct this as I’m pretty confident this video is spreading misinformation
Hi, you can check the latest videos for input lag which is different for every game, the DualSense Edge supports 1000Hz on USB but other PlayStation controllers are limited to 250Hz, in that case DualSense is about 1-3ms faster with BT but Edge is faster when used with USB, you can check this video which has a lot of info on how I test the input lag: th-cam.com/video/RfNg3Ab89o8/w-d-xo.html
@@DanielZH thanks, looked at your method but erm.. considering “every game” has different input delay, wouldnt using a controller overlay to assess input delay in a game immediately invalidate your stats? Just saying because that means you use two different apps, which is pretty much the equivalent of using two “games”?
The results might be proportional everytime, so I guess you could tell that one thing is faster than another… but at this point the numbers dont mean much by themselves.
Also, I believe running 1000hz on dualsense through a windows app actually puts the controller in 8000hz mode. However, using 1000hz through wired mode on the PS5 system actually automatically switches the polling rate to 250hz. Totally different behavior on the ps5 vs PC. This actually should be considered when comparing numbers, as the difference can be used to fact-check your results.
Anyways, this explains the discrepency in numbers, but not sure why you have a different outcome than pretty much all other dualsense/dualshock input delay videos when it comes to just wired vs bluetooth… but there’s something off. Hard to pinpoint where the error could have happened since I haven’t conducted your series of tests, but I feel like some factor wasn’t taken into account. Used to these type of tests being done with dedicated latency-testing devices, so maybe something around this is causing the difference…. But pretty weird that the difference doesnt just cause inflated numbers and actually changes the final outcome…
Anyway, interesting results regardless. Guess I’ll be looking at more videos and see if someone actually has results that resemble yours, might point towards the answer to those questions… maybe im the one missing something lol but all of this is quite mysterious.
@@theREALfuriousbanana Good points, the results might not be RAW, but as you also mentioned, the difference between the tests is valid, so instead of 5 and 10, it might be 15 and 20ms, in terms of USB on PS5 for Edge, it supports 1000Hz (tested with USB Dev kit) but not every game requests that amount of rate, so it could be different and not valid for every game.
