- In this episode, I surprise my girlfriend with the cheapest A-Frame camper on the internet! Join us as we go through the camper, front to back and learn what makes this style of camper unique. A-Frame campers are rare in the midwest, as most of them are only produced on the west coast. This is a 2006 Chalet Arrowhead, but is very similar to other brands like ALiner and Rockwood. The awesome thing about these campers is they are relatively lightweight, easy to tow, quick to setup, and insulated with great snow shedding abilities for winter camping!

For my camper, I usually use Dicor sealants. Stays more flexible than silicone, so when towing, it doesn't tear.
Great tip! I actuallyh used some dicor to fix that part of the window
My family was given a pop up camper that no one had ever used the features, ie heater, fridge, porta potty, ect in. I got everything working, i added LED bulbs into the existing fixtures but im definitely getting a couple of the lights you used! Ours isn't perfect but we stayed in it a couple times last summer and it worked great. Fact it was free made it even better!🤣
Hard to beat free! yeah those lights are worth every penny, you won't regret them.
@@ADDvanced yup, my moto is the only thing better than cheap is free! 😉
That's a very cool camper, sure you'll enjoy it. Good pick up on the get it up pun Sarah, lol
Haha
This thing is AWESOME!
Thanks! It's pretty interesting; I have wanted one for a long time but they're usually $12k and up.
That’s cool! I like it . Fast set up
Super fast setup! It's nice because it's fairly easy to tow, not a lot of drag, but 1 minute later it's usable.
That’s a pretty clean little unit, my friend’s dad travels with one all over the west.
Surprisingly big inside for how small it is outside. Love it so far.
It's not a tent top, that is nice ..
Those are awesome campers!
I barely ever see them for sale, it seems like people who own them rarely sell them.
Exactly because they are so cool and useful.@@ADDvanced
Awesome!!!! I bought a similar 2008 Aliner, had to do some rebuilding tho!
Which parts? My floor is a little soft.
@@ADDvanced pretty much everything! Floor, walls, roof. It was totally gutted
No bathroom? Other then that I like it.
Looks like fun. Add a wood stove, put some skis on it and tow it with two snowmobiles? I'll watch that.
Oh man, lol. Maybe on a lake? It’s so wide it wouldn’t fit on any trails
@@ADDvanced Thinking toboggans.
Only concern you have is it being Bear proof, always have a gun able t stop a Bear inside of camper in Bear country
Facts!
Yeah there is only one exit. Lol.
I love it. I’d put a lift on it and take that thing off road
They make them, I might get around to that some day!
@@ADDvanced could probably get away with just using some axle blocks
