This is a great idea and could be incorporated into any size and not only that the inside square is all neat and I was thinking that if I did a larger size on these you could put a nice applique on the middle square. I think those little squares would make a great border for a baby quilt and I need to use up a lot of leftover 2 1/2 inch squares.
