As a lifelong Karate Kid fan, I’m excited to see this! Will Smith said the next step was to bring both Karate Kid worls together…and he did it! If y’all remember, Miyagis family learned karate when his ancestors lived in China…they then moved to Okinawa and made it their own. I guarantee Jackie was his student more likely after Miyagi served in WWII Daniel LaRusso is the perfect example of the student becoming the teacher
This new karate kid movie is going to be fire since we got: 1. Jackie Chan 2. Ralph Macchio 3. Ben Wong who ices everyone cobra Kai kid fighter easily. Can’t wait!!
Mr Miyagi have been talking about Karate’s roots in Chinese Kung Fu since back in Karate Kid Part 2. It’s inevitable to connect to China and bring in Jackie Chan. Two Branches, One Tree 🌳
This looks EPIC! I love the look and the tone of the trailer. The movie looks like it’s going back to its roots. I love Cobra Kai but it will be refreshing to see the Miyagi universe focus on a single protagonist again.
karate kid legends will take place 3 years after Sekai Taikai. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Karate Kid Legends, the director Jonathan Entwistle explained how the film relates to the world of Cobra Kai. 🥋🐍 CAN'T WAIT.
What I like about this movie is it seems to have a more serious tone than cobra Kai. I love cobra Kai and obviously it has its serious moments but a lot of the tone is more comedy which was great for cobra Kai but by now that humour has kind of gotten old so glad this movie seems to be doing something different
a couple things i have been thinking of is that i find it interesting that the new kid is going to learn to balance the to fighting styles (karate and kung fu) which will be probably a challenging task, but i feel it is also a reflection of the characters every day life of being asian american and balancing the 2 different cultures he probably both loves even though there are most likely big conflicts, now i dont know if that will be a point touched on in the movie it self but i find it interesting second going on the jaden smith karate kid which i also enjoyed as well, i fee like it make this movie even more hype due to the fact of the world building that movie did to make this movie more interesting with jackie chans character because it gives his character more weight in the movie universe otherwise Jackie's character would be kind of just there and feel like just adding big martial arts actor to the movie but in this case it feels relevant to the story and not something tacked on because of the jaden smith movie developed this character, also im not the biggest jaden smith fan however i would be down to see him in this movie even if its just a small cameo like he shows up and gives a pep talk to the new karate kid because it would probably be good for the new kid to get some insight from someone who is a bit younger but experienced in his situation since both his mentors are older so i think it would be pretty cool to see jadens character come full circle
I've been on and off about Cobra Kai. There's a lot in it to like, the fights have been going great, the kids are fine, but I haven't been entirely there for the writting. But this one does get me a lot excited. I do like Jackie's and Jayden's version a lot, as much as I never understood why call a Kung Fu flick "Karate Kid", but I get the hussle, both are forms of Kenpo at the end of the day. Cobra Kai did a lot of cast cameos, but this movie *needs* Hillary Swank and Jayden Smith to appear if it really is doing the unification thing. Jackie Chan is a lot, it is a big pull and it means a lot, but this movie should be about the 3 students coming together as much as it needs to be about this new kid.
There was a legitimately easy way they could have made the Karate Kid title work for the 2010 version. Remember early in the movie where the bullies dump Dre's backpack on the ground? All they had to do was throw a Karate training book in there and have Cheng pick it up, laugh, and then Cheng starts mocking Dre as the "Karate Kid" through the rest of the movie! It was THAT simple 🤣
Kwon was mr. Hans son. That would make a lot of sense! The reason maybe why mr. Han wasnt around kwon was of either abandonment and another level of parental issues.
@qea9728 my comment wasn't meant to offend anyone. I just think it would be interesting if kwons death is the thing that brings mr. Han whether he could be a dad, uncle or even distant relative it be extremely unique and would amplify the last 5 episodes.
So the reason they put kungfu in because Okinawa style is the meaning of Chinese fist the adoption of Chinese because of a Buddhist monk who washed up in Okinawa and taught them The Way of the fist in Okinawa learning secret and it became Okinawa karate

It’s going to be epic to see Daniel and Han teaming up!
This is in my top 3 most anticipated movies next year 🔥

I personally hope we see Hillary Swank make a cameo appearance in this. Surely I'm not the only 1 who remembers her as a Karate Kid.
I think she'll be somewhere in the last 5 episodes of cobra kai
Tbh I forgot what her movie was about all I remember was she had a pet Hawk, I think? The movie was really forgettable.
@@DannyBurgers100i agree
That saying time doesn’t wait for nobody is most definitely true. I was 6yrs when the original karate kid came out wow.
Jackie Chan is a win. Automatically elevates the movie for me. Looks like the new kid is based in NYC.
Mr Miyagi have been talking about Karate’s roots in Chinese Kung Fu since back in Karate Kid Part 2. It’s inevitable to connect to China and bring in Jackie Chan. Two Branches, One Tree 🌳
I’m down with this movie! Can’t wait! ❤

Very stoked for this Karate Kid crossover‼️🥋🔥 It’s coming out in my 25th birthday
Happy birthday young man - in advance 😊
I got goosebumps watching this trailer, i can't wait til this comes out.
The only channel for anything Cobra Kai/Karate Kid in my eyes worth watching! The passion is exuding out my boys!

I need a full trailer I want more 😊

second going on the jaden smith karate kid which i also enjoyed as well, i fee like it make this movie even more hype due to the fact of the world building that movie did to make this movie more interesting with jackie chans character because it gives his character more weight in the movie universe otherwise Jackie's character would be kind of just there and feel like just adding big martial arts actor to the movie but in this case it feels relevant to the story and not something tacked on because of the jaden smith movie developed this character,
also im not the biggest jaden smith fan however i would be down to see him in this movie even if its just a small cameo like he shows up and gives a pep talk to the new karate kid because it would probably be good for the new kid to get some insight from someone who is a bit younger but experienced in his situation since both his mentors are older so i think it would be pretty cool to see jadens character come full circle
The trailer looks great w reaction
LETS GO!
Where are you guys getting the merch from??
It does look fire
I wonder if this kid is related to or knows Dre or one of the other kids in some way. Remember they all bowed to him after the tournament.

2 BRANCHES 1 TREE
can't wait
I also keep hearing that this is supposed to be 3 years after cobra kai. Was 5 years in the beginning.
Ben Wang from American Born Chinese 🥋
Kwon was mr. Hans son. That would make a lot of sense! The reason maybe why mr. Han wasnt around kwon was of either abandonment and another level of parental issues.
I'm Asian too, so I must be Mr Han's second son
@qea9728 my comment wasn't meant to offend anyone. I just think it would be interesting if kwons death is the thing that brings mr. Han whether he could be a dad, uncle or even distant relative it be extremely unique and would amplify the last 5 episodes.
No views? Then, it pleases me to be the first
Karen Smith gotta be in the end credits scene.
Ben Wang the actor knows martial arts but he played a student in American born Chinese and wasn't in any of the fight scenes
I can't wait for the movie. Hell I ready for cobra kai to come back
I hope Sensei Lawrence appears..
Johnny filmed a couple of scenes
So the reason they put kungfu in because Okinawa style is the meaning of Chinese fist the adoption of Chinese because of a Buddhist monk who washed up in Okinawa and taught them The Way of the fist in Okinawa learning secret and it became Okinawa karate
Wait, wait. Pat morita is in the cast, so what flashback? Are they gonna show us that we haven't seen
react to henry danger the movie official trailer
This movie a borderline scam
How?
