I love your documentary’s. You obviously show great compassion for your work. I hope you keep releasing more of these documentary’s because they show how great you are as a rail fan. ❤👍
At the beginning, you did a wonderful intro, like that of a poem. The scenery on top of that is incredible. I can tell you really love your work. Please thank all of your videographers who spent many of hours for these fantastic shots. I plan to purchase some of your videos to show my appreciation.
I just purchased Marias Pas and Winter on Marias Pass through your website. I hope you put the videos of Donner Pass on the website as well. I live just down the hill from it near Auburn/Colfax. Thank you.
One of my all time favorites and one of the first Blu-rays of yours that I purchased back in 2011. I have purchased so many more after that and love them all!
My friend, your videos are first class and the best of their type. It must be an unbelievable amount of work to provide so many perspectives, many of them quite unique. Here in the east, trains are mostly seen at crossings and they are very imposing. But out there in Montana, the scale is very different and they look like HO trains. I'm nowhere near a rail fan, but I do have more than a passing interest in them and I thoroughly enjoy your amazing videos so I decided to subscribe. Again, you do an incredible job on your videos.
I was curious with locomotive 🚂 BNSF 4097 smoking @ "9:01" looks this was fairly commonplace before turbo failure once googling 4097 even as far back as three years ago at Tehachapi on a rival channel being locomotive lead number 4. Thanks for sharing the magnificent grandeur from St Paul to Seattle 😊
I love the drastic but clear camera angles ranging from up close watching the train pass by to showing the trim down the line knocking a signal down on the distance with the scenery behind
Interesting/informative/entertaining. Excellent photography job enabling viewers to better understand what the orator is describing. I noticed graffiti on a few box & tanker cars. Perhaps the artists are seeing👀 some of their artistical creations -???😲. Jimmy Rogers the " Singing Break Men. Was a genuine break till till changing careers to singer & entertainer 🎸🎶 1926 till 1933. Classic recording " Break Man's Blues ". TB ended his life. 😇. Viewing this presentation from the comfort zone of my computer room. Along the " Space Coast " 🚀of Florida 🐊🐊. Wishing viewers & R.R. Employees a safe/healthy/prosperous/(2024) 🌈🎉😉.
I hauled fuel trucking with double tankers over this road for a few years going to Costco in Kalispell. Road was next to the tracks most the way. Quite a few memorable trips in the winter. Or summer with the rv's EVERYWHERE.
Im sicker than a dog this week, got a horrible chest infection. Perfect video to wrap in a blanket on the couch and watch on the big screen. Thanks for another amazing upload, watching from Pahrump Nevada 🇺🇲
Seen the 4449 in Durand, MI that year they stop to to put on water drop off the Amtrak and get it setup to go to Owosso, MI. It is huge when you stand next to it.
I've seen plenty of footage of the 4449 back in the 80s and early 90s when she pulled complete Southern Pacific train in Daylight colors and in this footage she's pulling what looks to be a complete mix of random passenger cars. Although it was good to see her on the rails again I'm wondering what happened to her original train it was so much more beautiful.
Looks like that first DPU on grain train leaving station had a spray tip blown off one of the injectors. Dumping raw unatomized fuel directly into cylinder
Marias Pass when James J Hill built BNSF a century ago he and John Stevens picked the best route ever and that route was here Marias Pass in the Montana Rockies. Unknown to them they found something else Marias Pass goes through Glacier Park and the schedule of the Builder is perfectly timed so both trains meet exactly at noon inside the park so guest can explore this great land. From Whitefish to Havre this line passes through America's greatest wilderness. Welcome to Marias Pass BNSF's Highline Subdivision.
Been there at least 10 times and every trip I find somewhere new to watch the Hi-Line. Unfortunately, the Izaak Walton was sold again and the new owners (Loge) had an estate sale in June to get rid of all the railroad relics before they remodel it into a hipster spot.
Well narrated and great power-points. Most of your timeline of history on Marias is good. It’s kinda sad seeing the old platform at Whitefish before they redid it. It was really nice seeing SP 4449 aswell! I love your passion for making these mini-docu’s! One question tho, did you have permission to be inside the snowsheds or did you get the first shot and book-it?
I don't get it. Such a beautiful steam loco with a bunch of ugly cars behind it. Why not paint them up in SP Daylight colors and have a really beautiful train? Take a clue from UPs Big Boy.
What a stunning landscape. The backbone of North American industry and beyond too quickly forgotten by the public!
What a wonderful idea and honor to Sacagawea and little pomp!
7Idea’s videos are so beautiful and relaxing.
I love your documentary’s. You obviously show great compassion for your work. I hope you keep releasing more of these documentary’s because they show how great you are as a rail fan. ❤👍
Beautiful cinematography and writing! Thank you so much for this beautiful, informative video. 😊
Thank you so much!
This was definitely my most favorite episode when I watched it on RFDTV
It’s such a shame that RFDTV abridges 7idea’s stuff…
@@Wolfman053ait is unfortunately...same goes to a lot of the other programs that air on Trains and Locomotives being limited to an hour
@@railfanjordan8141 Most aren’t nearly as obvious, though…
Well filmed and narrated. Always beautiful scenery.
First class work, glad I found y’all. Like it so much, I purchased a calendar from the store.

My backyard. And I worked for BSNF.
As native Montanan----we love the beautiful mountains & history of GN----now BNSF that helped build our state.
I used to fall asleep watching this on DVD.

Thanks for showing my favorite steam engine 4449. ❤

Excellent video and scenery!
1:08:44 caught #4723 who made Marias Pass much more known around the world.
Yes it was pretty cool to catch the 4723 (Microsoft Train Simulator BNSF Dash 9 prototype) on Marias Pass, just like in the game.
Im sicker than a dog this week, got a horrible chest infection. Perfect video to wrap in a blanket on the couch and watch on the big screen. Thanks for another amazing upload, watching from Pahrump Nevada 🇺🇲
Hope you get to feeling better! Good to hear from Pahrump!
Love the mountains and the trains in them, Love me some SP Daylight Steam too, perfect! Thanks for shooting and sharing this!

11:52 - Nice camping spot for railfanners!
Thanks mate
Stunning video. Thank you guys!
The most beautiful place in America to go railfanning.
Good work sir hill
Very nice!🙂🙂

I like train videos on TH-cam 👍
01:01:20: 14,000 tons? That's closer to 18,000 or 19,000 tons.

56:38 4715 was repaired after the kismet train collision and repainted into the h3 scheme.
Geez at 9:10 that locomotive is rolling smoke. Hope it didn't catch fire later thats alot of raw fuel.
9:00 - Smokey boi!

The scenery train drivers can access, think about that life vs being an office worker in the city
…boy, that second to last unit in the unit grain train is blowing up one hell of a lot of smoke. Looks like an ALCo or steam engine in action.
41:21 I thought manned helpers on the rear had to tie into the train's brake line in case it goes into emergency.
I have this on dvd
Maravilloso 🔝👌🏽
Hi you gay did a great job and the end was so great thank jay
