  • The CDC has confirmed two new malaria cases in Florida, for a total of six in the state, as well as one case in Texas. Officials also say at least two mosquitoes in Michigan have tested positive for EEE, a deadly virus that has a 33% mortality rate. CBS News correspondent Omar Villafranca has more on the rise of mosquito-borne illnesses, and Dr. Rajiv Chowdhury, chair of the Department of Global Health at Florida International University, joins CBS News to discuss how people can protect themselves.

One thing .. Take B100 vitamins . Every day ! I have not had a mosquito Bite in way over thirty yrs since I started taking them. . Apparently they do not like the smell of your skin or taste .
You can also give them to your dog and cat .

Well, you could always soak your clothes in nicotine!Dead serious , nicotine kills them mosquitoes, leaches, and other flies!get like some chewing tobacco and soak your clothes, learned it in the military!

Nicotine evolved as a natural insecticide and it and derivatives of it are very deadly to many insects. Be careful though, because it readily absorbs through skin too and you can easily poison yourself.
A better alternative is to treat clothing with pyrethrin compounds. They're often sold as tick repellant and you spray down your clothes (not while wearing). Let them dry out, and until their washed, any insect that lands and remains will just fall off dead or stunned.
Really though even just normal mosquito repellant and some good sense will keep you safe from malaria.

Staying away from areas where they are releasing GMO mosquitoes is prolly sufficient.

Thank you Bill Gates for releasing those genetically-engineered mosquitos for some mysterious reason.

The reason isn't all that mysterious. It's to reduce mosquito populations by introducing a genetic mutation that basically causes larvae to be stillborn. It's a variety of mosquitoes that causes things like dengue fever, not malaria.

@@kenofken9458 Did you know Bill Gates paralyzed over 490,000 people in India with his garbage polio shots? This injection campaign of his went on for 17 years.
He's no philanthropist, he's an agent of satan.
