Hi Dan I'd like to thank you so much for all the work you put in to help candidates like me. Happy to say I got the job after 7 interviews!
Tip to everyone - Yes, try and prepare a good amount of examples but don't panic if you run out of new ones to bring up. I had to repeat about 4 of mine throughout the loop but was still offered the job.
Make sure you have a few stronger examples with at least some data points that you can bring up, which you can repeat. Then a few 'filler' examples that you only mention once to provide variety.
That worked for me at least.
    Good luck!

    Hello Dan,
Thank you for taking time in preparing and sharing such informative videos and example answers. I had my first telephonic interview yesterday with Amazon and going through your videos for preparation was very helpful.
The questions that I had for the position applied for ( Sr Engagement Manager ) were as below:
    1. Tell me about yourself
    2. What do you know about the role of an EM
    3. What technical certifications have you recently taken
    4. Why do you think you would like to work for Amazon now
    5. Tell me about the most complex project that you have worked
    6. Tell me about a situation where you were to challenge the customer
    7. Explain about the Scrum Ceremonies that would follow at work
    8. Tell me about the three key factors that you would persuade your customer to move their services to the cloud
    9. Tell me about the finances that you handled for your recent engagement and the number of team members
    10. Tell me about the governance strategies that you implemented on your recent engagements and how it was beneficial
    11. Tell me a situation on how to manage spend in running services in the cloud and did you encounter situation in recent project
The session lasted for close to an hour and 10 minutes. I posted the following questions back when it was my turn
    1. If I am to be considered for the role how will be measured as a right fit by the end of the year
    2. What differentiators do we adopt other than the unique services that provide when compared to our competitors

It looks like sometimes the questions have nothing to do with the Leadership Principle, for example Learn and be Curious, question: tell me about a time you had a conflict working on a team? But thanks for the rest which sounds good

    • @DanCroitor
      @DanCroitor  4 ปีที่แล้ว

You are right to say it's not a good idea to take the questions as the types of questions to expect for that principle in your interview. The goal of the video is to showcase the behavior highlighted in that principle. There are many other videos to look for examples of questions for the principles.

Hi, Dan. Thanks for the videos and all the information you share. I have question. Can you pronounce the questions you answer. You show topics of coming answer on black background and people only can read it. It is not very comfortable. I mostly listen videos while hiking with my dog or drive a car. I don't have chance to look at screen during the activities. As results I lose critical part of your presentation. Thank you, one more time for your job. You deliver brilliant information.)))

very insightful videos. Question for you. IS there a tip or trick to relate a behavioral question to a principle? So when you hear it , you can figure out which principal interviewer is focusing and can emphasize on that in your answer? Secondly, is it even a good idea to relate the question to the principle at the time of interview ? thanks!
