      As I am Thai I can tell the meaning of their name
      Lerdsila = Elegant stone
      Rodtang = Battle tank
      Buakaw = White lotus
      Saenchai = The man who wins 100,000 times

    13:00 The more common term for "flow" in the US would be 'in the zone".
    When your conscious mind is alert, but not overthinking, and your mind/body connection is at its strongest.
    You allow your instincts, experience, and training to guide you and it all works flawlessly.

      @@dmonsterrrrrrr was thinking the same I would kill to get a chance just to marvel at it in person. I know I wouldn't be able to land a single strike even if I used perfect shelled aggresive in fighting and especially not outboxing. But I feel like I would advance much quicker if I fought someone with this level of slipperiness and evasiveness. Man is like a modern Niccolino Locche except he actually has good punch output volume and actual power to back it up.
      Granted that's not fair to Locche considering he lived in a way different time and smoked like two packs a day for weight control since he didn't like to train either which makes his feats even more ridiculous

      @@dmonsterrrrrrr Yeah it still boggles me I used to be a smoker and still had more stamina then him. But I could never box that clean for the longest time. I'm the type who can throw punches in bunches forever with both speed and power while still trying to keep it sharp and precise. Problem was while gassed I could still keep throwing decent ones but my form would slowly come apart and get sloppy. Now I'm the type where I can endlessly throw immediately pull the arm back to guard and switch between low, high, and mid guarding endlessly to make the openings close faster then someone can capitalize.
      I also try to fight like these guys in general the guys who flow like water. Bruce Lee's another perfect example. Always wanted to be as close to untouchable as I can be but I'm not slick enough. So instead I rely off the Mike Tyson/Joe Frazier style head movement and Different Shell Guards. And switch to stuff like Philly Shell when I'm tired since I can still Flow, Rack up points, Rest, etc etc.
      I like using these styles because I like to constantly Bob, Duck, Weave and even absurd dodges, and parries . Sadly do to my health the best I could ever hope to reach is K1 kickboxing status. Or maybe a lower weight class belt since I'm Sadly shorter and smaller.

      There's one fighter who didn't care about weight classes. Kaoklai Kaennorsing, 174 lbs, "The Giant Killer".
      He won the OPENWEIGHT division of K-1 in 2004 against opponents who in some cases had over 100 lbs advantage against him. Kaoklai was only 21 years old at the time.
      He famously knocked out Mighty Mo who weighed 280 lbs.
      While his overall record doesn't look particularly impressive, he was fierce and fearless, and considering the opponents he took on, it's not surprising he had a relatively short career.

      Saenchai and Sessila Khao are best friends and they used to live in the same boxing camp. So the two of them didn't fight. But if assuming that the fight of both actually happened I wonder if they'll punch each other. Because both of them are very good at evading attacks against their opponents.

    Buakao is in his own league mostly strength, head movement not quite at Lerdsila (the "eel") and Saenchai's level (better as he got older) Lerd.'s movements are similar to Saenchai (same school) who appears to have more tricks and maybe a little more powerful. @KevinMartinez- 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Then you quite misinformed and uneducated in the Sport of Muay Thai. As much of legend Buakaw is but he not even considered in the 100 greatest Nak Muays Of All Time. Both a prime and 100 % peak conditioned Saenchai and Buakaw in the same weight class. Saenchai would school Buakaw with absolute ease. It would not be a competitive fight. Saenchai has fought bigger, taller, stronger, technical and higher fight IQ opponents by a long shot... Obviously you never heard Samkor Kiatmontep. Samkor is not a monster and a machine but something more, like a Titan. Samkor is from the Golden Era of Muay Thai and Legendary Multiple World Lumpinee Stadium Champion who has beaten the beat of the best especially Multiple World Lumpinee Stadium Champion and a Legendary Golden Era Nak Muay named Wangchannoi Sor Palangchai (another Titan and a "God" Slayer). Samkor Kicks are 6 times more powerful than Buakaw kicks. Samkor was a Muay Tea and a Muay Khao. He had rhino power in his kicks. Saenchai has beaten Samkor 1 out of 2 times Samkor is more durable, stronger, more powerful, technical and has a extremely high fight IQ compared to Buakaw. Saenchai is leagues above Buakaw.

  • @HaplessHypnagogic
    @HaplessHypnagogic ปีที่แล้ว +1

    10:19 if by who wins you mean whose the best pound for pound, probably Saenchai. Lerdsila is insanely talented obviously and his highlight reel gives the impression of him being invincible, but he does lose. His record isn't as impressive as Saenchai. Buakaw is a bigger icon probably and definitely hits a lot harder than Saenchai, but technically Saenchai outclasses him pretty significantly.

    • @sidthixaychoummanivong5643
      @sidthixaychoummanivong5643 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's cap. Saenchai don't outclasses Buakaw, have u even seen them sparring. Even tho they was just playing with each other, but most of the times it looks like Buakaw have the upper hand cuz he has more power and bigger. I would say it could go either way, but not outclassing lol. But I'm leaning towards Buakaw, since two legends fighting each other, tricks he uses on other's fighter might not work, Saenchai and most Muay Thai fighters believe that it's easier to fight European or Western fighters than to fight an actual Thai Muay Thai fighters

    • @HaplessHypnagogic
      @HaplessHypnagogic ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sidthixaychoummanivong5643 If they actually fought I would think Buakaw would probably win due to the size difference also- mind you the "sparring footage" we get from Saenchai's instagram or whatever isn't exactly a good indicator of how things would go if they turned up to 100. That wasn't really the question though. It's pretty obvious that Buakaw would probably destroy Lerdsila if they fought- he's almost half a foot taller than him and fights several weight classes above him. That's not really the point when you compare fighters pound for pound. What we're comparing are records essentially and Saenchai has fought twice as much in his career with a similar win-loss ratio. He inarguably has sharper footwork and head movement than Buakaw, he's more accurate than Buakaw, and he's also older than Buakaw (granted only by a couple years) and has yet to take a hiatus from fighting-unlike Buakaw who is seemingly about to come out of retirement for the second time. The point about Saenchai fighting foreign opponents for the past several years is fair, but the same can be said of Buakaw, who prior to retirement hadn't fought a Thai professionally since 2004.
      I'm not trying to dump on Buakaw at all- the guy is a legend and for sure one of the greatest living Thai boxers- but I still say Saenchai takes first place if I have to choose between the two objectively. Personally I don't think either of them are the GOAT.

    • @HaplessHypnagogic
      @HaplessHypnagogic ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sidthixaychoummanivong5643 Yeah that's a fair point, but it seems to me to be the only semi-objective way to determine this kind of thing. Otherwise, if we measure it purely by who would win the match, the best fighter in the world is whoever's at the top of the heavyweight division at any given time. While in a sense that's kind of true- the elite level heavyweight is going to be the most dangerous to anyone smaller than them broadly speaking- that doesn't really tell us anything about the fighters skill level. Demetrius Johnson would get destroyed trying to fight Reug Reug for eg. but DJ is by far the more impressive fighter pound for pound.
      Also if the record isn't what's being examined but rather who would win the fight itself, then the last person who beat Saenchai or Buakaw is- by that standard- better than both of them, which I think we can both agree is not true.

    in terms of technique, skill and smarts lerdsila and saenchai are way above buakaw but in a real fight at everyone's peak buakaw wins against the other two because he is way bigger and stronger. out of lerdsila vs saenchai, i'd say lerdsila but it's very close.
