Taylor’s such a phenomenal lyricist. She’s definitely going to join other legends in music history. Say what you want about her singing but she’s definitely written a ton of number 1 songs for other singers/bands proving her talent in writing.
I am actually really disappointed in the lyrics, especially with Bon Iver on this song as he is an amazing lyricist. The lines are pretty basic and superficial...especially at the beginning. A shame too, because the music and harmonies were pretty. oh well, I guess it was foolish of me to expect something more from T Swift.
nicole, i get the same too even im a very loyalty fan, but in this song, very like a basic agure from a couple torning apart, in the final chorus, tay and bon iver singing just like repeating them words... that very much not i want to hear, should be something else better, and wonder how exile just wins mang hearts and even magazine, but lyrics, not for me to this song, no offense but the song very much hardcore breakup song, but for the lyrics. i think invisible string, illcit affairs, this is me trying, hoax or peace should win the lyrics.

And I just love the juxtaposition of him being on the offensive and her being on the defensive while singing them. It just adds another layer to their mess of misunderstandings.
While listening to this song make me realize that in a relationship and having two different perspectives, we sometimes thought that the other person or that someone we've been with was wrong and blamed for not doing this, for not looking in-depth, for not giving too much attention, and for being not understood even though they do. And by that, we tend to have ourselves chosen the path of separation- in a state of moving apart from that someone whom you used to call as your home.

Listening to this before sleeping. This song has the power of urging you to cry and hold your chest as if every words pierce right through you- even when you're not actually heartbroken. Taylor is a great poet, isn't she? I just love her so much.
This is the album I needed through my previous heartbroken years. I'm in a happier place now but I still reflect on where these songs would have perfectly fit back then. I really really love this album, a couple apply to me to today. That's what I love about Taylor, there is usually at least one song on an album we can each individually currently relate to ❤

Taylor’s such a phenomenal lyricist. She’s definitely going to join other legends in music history. Say what you want about her singing but she’s definitely written a ton of number 1 songs for other singers/bands proving her talent in writing.
sorry but her singing is also amazing.
@@neilynguyen481 maybe because they wanted it that way, not every break up needs to be extravagant/dramatic, sometimes they just slowly fester into your soul that everyone can relate to

Btw, which song won the grammy? I don't remember.
