the fact that Dario Marianelli’s score for Atonement won over Michael Giacchino’s score for Ratatouille, another great original soundtrack, shows just how amazing it truly is!
Boy, Amy Adam's sure is cute ain't she? I mean she's still cute, but she is like super extra cute here, maybe because this was the year Enchanted came out.
I came here after watching "Ali and Nino" film listening to the soundtract of the movie many time. I am so glad he has won the award and that film producer chose him!
0:52, Bill Conti conducts the Academy Awards orchestra for the last time! He had been the musical director for the Oscars, both on and off, from 1977-2008. Conti would retire following this Oscar telecast.
It's fucking criminal that Jonny Greenwood didn't get nominated let alone win. Nobody cares about some stupid rules, he literally changed the way music could be used in film.
There Will Be Blood had a better score than all of these films combined and it wasn’t even nominated. Wow. Greenwood better win for Phantom Thread or else there will be blood(pun intended).
There have been others. I haven t heard by Jerry Goldsmith such as Patton. I haven t heard from Jammes Horner may he rest in peace. What about Hanz Zimmer or any other. Not necessary an oscar winner but a memmorable one
The soundtrack for Atonement added so much emotion to a film that already has such a strong impact (at least for me). Simply amazing.
@Diego Pisfil Exactly
Ratatouille is underrated Pixar masterpiece
@Diego Pisfil WOW
2007 is fantastic year for movies
Personally, one of the greatest film scores of all time.
Ratatouille should've won
@@paperchasindude6578 Exactly Remy
RATATOUILLE is my favorite movie of 2007
@@saledarius9014 same
Such a GORGEOUS original score! I couldn't think of a more deserving musician that year!
I'm from Italy and I haven't heard an Italian person with such a good English accent in years.
+gain al i think she was talking about Marianelli
Probably because he lives in London. Anyway good to see three italian/italoamerican composers that year.
He lives in London since 1990 ( 27 years old)
I didn't know he lived in London but his accent gave it away.
I love his music sooo much. The music from Atonement was perfect.
@Diego Pisfil Agreed
That Pixar movie is so underrated masterpiece
stunning score and a truly deserved win
i'm obsessed with atonement's musical score. it's moving and epic
Atonement soundtrack was amazing, very emotional and powerful, perfect reflection of the movie and story
They should show these windows with the nominees more often, especially with the composers.
Damn you Dario, here I am 14 years later, crying my eyes out for Robbie and Cecilia's farewell. (this movie is engraved in my brain)
gosh how much love amy adams
Atonement and Rataouille are awesome best scores... But Atonement deserver truly the Oscar.
so well-deserved. the speech is as humble and basic as the score is robust and complex.
the fact that Dario Marianelli’s score for Atonement won over Michael Giacchino’s score for Ratatouille, another great original soundtrack, shows just how amazing it truly is!
Strong year for original scores.
Dario definitely was the deserving winner, but the others were also sublime.
I can't believe Jonny Greenwood wasn't even nominated. Damn Oscar!!
Technicality!
Watch It, It's Gonna Even Worse.
Boy, Amy Adam's sure is cute ain't she? I mean she's still cute, but she is like super extra cute here, maybe because this was the year Enchanted came out.
Honestly, she should've gotten a Best Actress nom for Enchanted.
BlueFox94
Seriously, I agree.
She is super hot too
My favorite movie!!!!!! Beautiful music.
Atonement has one of the best scores of all time
An amazing Composer, he should have won the award for Anna Karenina
well deserved. I saw the opening scene, attention was immediately grabbed by the score. Had to go and check if it won that year!
I came here after watching "Ali and Nino" film listening to the soundtract of the movie many time. I am so glad he has won the award and that film producer chose him!
Jonny Greenwood’s snub for even a nomination here is outrageous
Factsss
True@@haroldandmod
Good to know it won something
Musicians are the most attractive ones
Amy
0:52, Bill Conti conducts the Academy Awards orchestra for the last time! He had been the musical director for the Oscars, both on and off, from 1977-2008. Conti would retire following this Oscar telecast.
I think amy is gonna get the award this year.
No way bro. Believe in the Blanchett
I love Amy, But Blanchett will get it.
She's the new Leonardo DiCaprio, jajjajajajajaaja
It's fucking criminal that Jonny Greenwood didn't get nominated let alone win. Nobody cares about some stupid rules, he literally changed the way music could be used in film.
I agree with you, but I also think Dario Marianelli derserved oscar. He did very good job in 'Atonement'.
We care about rules such as music stuff, but in this film business, you could either lead, follow or
get out of the way.
I don't know if that's because I'm drunk (he's old enough to be my father), but I think Dario's very attractive here, even when he's stuttering.
n acredito que ela é a mulher mais linda
De los soundtrack más hermosos y de las películas que más me han gustado
is it wrong if I say Amy Adams is the most natural sexy woman in Hollywood with no tampering
Almost nothing has deserved to win more
I honestly wished if Hans Zimmer was nominated for Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End. That score is fire.
For me Randy Newman and Michael Giacchino are champions forever.
Ratatoille - what a GREAT soundtrack. And has the best song that year, but wasn´t nominated....
Fax
it is nominated , the composer won for UP 2009
Do you ever think about me Amy after all these years?
May make a comment. Why always the same scores of John Williams, Rocky, the godfather?
best soundtrack
Aw, Saoirse Ronan and James McAvoy look so cute sitting next to each other. She was such a baby then 🥺♥️
Atonement has great music score.
Not as amazing as Ratatouille
@@saledarius9014 So people don't trust the Oscars voters opinion like me.
Wait there will be blood wasn’t nominated.
Yep, it got disqualified for some arbitrary rule against very occasional use of pre-existing music, what a dumb excuse
@@randommiles7170 I mean… the category is called Best ORIGINAL score… so
@@RileyShaw-ry7xz Fair point
That's Robert Osborne seated behind Hugh Jackman.
My nominations:
The Assassination of Jesse James
Atonement
Ratatouille
Sunshine (WINNER)
There Will Be Blood
or RATATOUILLE (PIXAR)
He deserved si se dice asi? XD él se lo merece
How ratatouille didn’t win is a mystery to me
Just saying Michael giachino is a genuis
Ratatouille should have won
@@dariussalepetru9951 exactly bro
I actually thought that there will be blood was going to sweep the Oscar, but for my surprise it didn’t even go a nomination
It was disqualified.
Notare che c’erano 3 italiani su 5 candidati 🤣
Transformers must have been nominated that year at least :(
*snickers*
Steve Jablonsky deserved a nomination for Transformers.
Amazing score but a lot of it sounded like Batman begins
Probably the only deserved oscar ever.
الي جاي هنا بعد البنت بتاعت مهرجان الجونة يعمل لايك 🙌🏻
ايه الحوار ده؟
Sunshine should've been nominated.
Where the Hell is Jonny Greenwood??
Wasn’t He Even Nominated???
Shit-!!, F***ing Oscar-!!!
There Will Be Blood should’ve won tbh
The reason it didn’t make it in was because it occasionally used music from Greenwood’s previous work (very dumb excuse if I’m being honest)
There Will Be Blood had a better score than all of these films combined and it wasn’t even nominated. Wow.
Greenwood better win for Phantom Thread or else there will be blood(pun intended).
@gnilttbs STFU, There will be blood is overrated? Are you a 90s film critic?
It got disqualified for using some music from Greenwood’s previous compositions which is still a stupid reason
There have been others. I haven t heard by Jerry Goldsmith such as Patton. I haven t heard from Jammes Horner may he rest in peace. What about Hanz Zimmer or any other. Not necessary an oscar winner but a memmorable one

How The Assassination of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford didn't get nominated or even win is beyond blasphemy.
3:10 To Yuma should have won
Three italians and a spaniard. Why such a mediterranean affair?

Lois Lane !!!!!!!
