I want to Thankyou Pastor for your message". Am I really saved." I have been in these Churches that have PREACHED these wrong teachings about Gods Gospel. I have searched my heart about my own position in light of Gods principles of Holiness. I came to the understanding that you have spoken about regarding true Salvation. I Thank Almighty God for His Mercy and Grace to me. And now I realize why I have been rejected by so many Other Christians who are walking a different path .I gave My life to Our Savour Jesus Christ, after hearing a street preacher who spoke of Christ Jesus who died for sinners at Calvary. I knew I needed His forgiveness as He is A Holy God who made The way for us all to be saved by His Grace( .I was saved in 1969)Thankyou for your message and explaining what the meaning of Gods Word is saying .May God Bless You abundantly.

SMITE THE EARTH WITH A CURSE.
Try to imagine a situation where even those who claim to believe the Bible, have a doctrine which is so incorrect, that the Lord is prepared to “SMITE THE EARTH WITH A CURSE” had the Lord not sent a Prophet to correct the errors of the people.
THAT IS EXACTLY THE SITUATION THIS AGE IS IN.
The Lord is NOT playing games, rather, He is “Deadly serious.”
      Malachi 4:5 + 6.
      5. Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord:
      6. And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and SMITE THE EARTH WITH A CURSE.
According to the Word of God that is exactly the condition that this modern Church finds itself in, we are living in the Seventh and final Church Age, the Laodicean Church Age, which according to the Word of God is “Wretched, Miserable, Poor, Blind, and Naked.” Revelation 3:17.
The Church goer, the person who claims to believe the Bible is called, “Wretched, Miserable, Poor, Blind, and Naked.” The non believer is NOT mentioned in this Scripture.
The Lord sent His Messenger (angel) to restore the original understanding of the Word of God as the Apostles knew it.
      Revelation 3:14.
And unto the ANGEL (Messenger) of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God.
The letter is wrote to the Angel.
This Angel (Messenger) is the Elijah, the God sent Prophet for this day:
      Matthew 17:11.
And Jesus answered and said unto them, Eljah truly shall first come, and RESTORE ALL THINGS.
“Restore all things” = Correct the inaccurate doctrine, had the Lord not sent this Prophet He would have had to “SMITE THE EARTH WITH A CURSE.”
The Lord`s chosen vessel was William Branham, to reject this Prophet is to say that God made a mistake when He sent this Prophet.
The Great Pillar of Fire descends in THIS DAY…..

The worst part of Hellsong is their influence over most all christian churches in America. Almost every church sings songs from those apostate churches: Hillsong, Bethel, Elevation, etc. Then they actually pay royalties to use their songs.

Frankly I doubt if the next revival will come close to the States if the church doesn't start fasting & praying for the evil that nation has wrought upon humanity these last 50 years. As you were reading about the priority of stressing God's holiness first in presenting the gospel message --- God's gospel!! --- I kept thinking of Isaiah 6, where the prophet has a vision of the throne room of the HOLY, HOLY, HOLY GOD and is completely undone. He realizes that as a man of unclean lips who lives among people of unclean lips he has no business being in God's perfectly sinless presence. THEN the seraphim used the burning coal to purify Isaiah's mouth. First things first.
As for Hillsong, judgment begins with the household of God (1 Peter 4:17). Where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there'll be disorder and EVERY VILE PRACTICE (James 3:14-16). The sin and rebellion at the root of Hillsong's tree is finding out those in corrupt leadership (Numbers 32:23, Ezekiel 34:1-10, John 10:10a). The Lord knows who are his own (2 Timothy 2:19) and the wise will flee from these false, wealth and glory seeking organizations (1 Timothy 6:10, John 7:18). They're NOT churches!!
"Therefore, COME OUT FROM THEIR MIDST AND BE SEPARATE, " says the Lord, " AND DO NOT TOUCH WHAT IS UNCLEAN. And I will welcome you." (2 Corinthians 6:17).

I really appreciate this message very much.
My family and I attended a church with similar set up to Hillsong. We are in Las Vegas. Their tag line is Love Everyone Always. Sadly there are a lot of churches like that here touting the same thing. This church cares more about what the world thinks of them, more about making people who don't believe in God think it's a cool place to be and yeah maybe you will fall in love with God while you are in there. The sermons are more about pushing what the Pastor finds important than what God does in the bible. Anyone can belong and be a "member" as there is no church discipline, no following what a biblical church is, there is no shepherd to guard the gates from bad theology or false doctrine. Our first year there I knew I needed biblical teachers and started listening to John MacArthur to balance out what the physical church was teaching us. It was not until Covid that I asked the Pastor some serious questions and knew that we could not stay there any longer. Praise God we found Pastor Billy Crone and became members of his church.
Praise God that there are still some biblical teachers to be found.
    May God bless your ministry.

  • @jackjones3657

Great teaching! Thank you for the clarifications while so many others seek to blur God's Word for their own self-serving motivations. "Grace has been 'stripped' of being amazing." 'And the reason it is 'no longer amazing' is because we no longer refer to humanity's nature as wretched.' Well said.

  • @OHMaven1

Thank you Joel for this timely message!
I have been experiencing what Martin Luther called “The dark night of the soul” over many months because of Hillsong’s influence over the local evangelical Church that I previously attended and one where I was an active member of.
Two years ago, as a Sunday school teacher and women’s Bible teacher, I saw what I can only describe as blatant apostasy infiltrating my church.
Unrepentant sin was lightly touched on, but seldom discussed from the pulpit as being an eternal barrier between man and a Holy God. While salvation isn’t earned, it must always include God’s requirements for living a God honoring, obedient Christian Life.
If we love God, we will obey him.
    1 John 5:1-4
“Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God, and everyone who loves the Father also loves those born of Him. 2 By this we know that we love the children of God: when we love God and keep His commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome, 4 because everyone born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world: our faith.”
Joel, your belief that sharing the gospel BEGINS with telling people the bad news first, is spot on! Until one sees their need for a savior, how can they fully embrace, serve, and appreciate Jesus “Yeshua” - (hebrew word for salvation)?
    Pastors should also tell their congregation the requirements of staying off the “lists of sins”- Colossians 3: 5-7; Galatians 5:19-21;
    Ephesians 5:5-6; and Revelation 21:8.
When I read these lists of sins, they remind me to NOT take my salvation for granted; to never abuse God’s grace; and to make sure that I strive DAILY to walk worthy, of the calling, of being an authentic Christian!
Authentic Christianity means being accountable for ones’ actions; being transparent with one’s struggles; confessing our sins to one another; and building each other up in our faith!
Much of western Christianity has succumbed to the “Christian industrial complex” by using the “Hillsong model” of “big Screens; blue lights; skinny jeans; and fog machines.”
Instead of the “church” being hospitals for the spiritually sick to become well, many have turned into entertainment centers SELLING motivational talks and pagan rock concerts.
Theology is contained in lyrics and the hymnal (which use to be chosen by its adherence to spiritual “truth”) has been replaced by hypnotic back beats from professional “praise bands” that can easily deliver “strange fire” (demonic spirits).

The problem with the way people in a local church view their church is as a business. I have been on committees in our local baptist church and too many times people referred to their place of work as a model to run the church. Church is not business, it is not a franchise like Chick-Fil-A.

Lots of mic drop comments in this one! I really appreciate how you focused primarily on Hillsong's false teaching instead of their leadership's moral failings. That really is the bigger problem. I think it's OK to call their music "worship music" because they do use it to worship. The question is really who/what are they worshiping. I know a lot of people who love them and their music and I'm sure they are troubled by these latest findings. I pray that the Lord will lead them to biblically sound churches with solid, bold preaching that will sanctify them and show them what it really is to be in Christ.

Thank you, Pastor Joel, for preaching these truths so clearly. The feminization of Jesus' church is so prevalent that it matters not where I have traveled in this country, these same bad teachings are there. The holiness of God receives but a tip of the hat, while God's love eclipses all His other attributes. May I share that at least one pastor I have sat under was eminently clear in preaching the true truth that it is from God's thrice holiness through which and from which all His other attributes emanate AND each and all of God's attributes are perfect and infinite, thus one cannot compare the magnitude of God's love to His justice or even His anger or even His hatred - lest we forget that God hates sin. I think you have got this entirely wrong. God is God because he is Holy. It is a given. Holiness isn't an attribute it is what makes God God. It's like describing a talking man as alive. Of course he is, otherwise he wouldn't be able to talk.
God's first and most important attribute is his love. Why? Because of what he did on the cross for sinners. He did not need to do this but he did it anyway and there was and can never be any such expression of love from anyone anywhere. Without that ultimate sacrifice where would we be? God's other key attribute is justice. He cannot help but be just but he can help how he expressed that ultimate act of love on the cross. God's justice is an act of love too because it is entirely fair due to his holiness which is perfection. But love isn't an act of justice only mercy, grace and punishment. To imply that love is an act of justice would suggest that Jesus had no choice but to die on the cross when he had every choice - which is why it is the ultimate sacrifice - to pay for our sins.

Many protestant churches are based on ego. Eg Luther had valid reasons to call the chuch to account. However, his next step required humility to submit questions to the church that needed resolution rather than he setting up another interpretation of God's word. The mission of Jesus is to bring the good news to humanity and reconcile creation to God the Father. The counter reformation addressed the scandals of the Catholic Church; the church is a community of saints and sinners. Humanity is fallen because of the original sin of pride; pride is an obvious factor in hillsong's counterfeit religion.

Ultimately you can’t let unbelievers be the ones to tell you whether you’re doing it right or not, because they’re opposed to your evangelism by default and WANT to deter you from continuing. Have close Christian friends who can vouch for your character and affirm whether or not your conduct is appropriate. Don’t let people who don’t know you in private have any influence over how you see yourself, Mason. Been there done that. Take my tip. Hopefully one or two godly couples in your church are invested in discipling you and inviting you over to dinner and fellowship regularly

Just another reason why I'm glad and blessed to be in a Reformed Presbyterian Church, as we sing only Psalms, and that only a cappella. While I personally wouldn't mind including some of the greater ancient hymns, that does leave the door open in latter years for someone to then say "well then why can't we introduce this (crappy) song?" We never have to wonder if we're singing that which is Biblically compatible and pleasing to God or not. They are afterall, the songs God wrote through men.

    • @stegokitty
      @stegokitty 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@Dulcimertunes I don't actually subscribe to that position. I don't have a problem with musical instruments in worship, so long as they're tastefully, and appropriately done. They should be there to support the singing, not to stand by themselves, and most certainly not to overpower the singing. However, a capella singing with harmonies is very beautiful, and stirring. But another reason why no instruments is preferable (at least for me) is because once you allow for any instrument, unless that denomination has a hard and fast rule that says "only these instruments are allowed" then there's no way from preventing all sorts of ruckus. At a previous church we attended, they had someone playing bongos ... during a traditional old-style Hymn with the German national anthem as the tune. Absolutely horrid. And then who's to stop the drum kit and the electric guitars and bass and who knows what else? I mean I do enjoy rock-n-roll -- I sing it a lot, but it doesn't belong in a worship service ... at least not in a worship service to the one true God.

    • @stegokitty
      @stegokitty 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@cosmictreason2242 I agree with you that the theology of these churches is already deeply flawed, which is why their music is par for the course. However, I'm not sure of what it is that you're saying otherwise. Are you suggesting that singing Psalms exclusively is unbiblical? Are you suggesting that singing a cappella exclusively is unbiblical? I'll grant you that it's not set forth as a mandate, but to say it's unbiblical is pretty close to saying it's antibiblical.
One cannot have unbiblical Psalms, unless they're interpreting them in an erroneous manner, as the Psalms are the songs that God wrote through men. I would dare say that the vast majority of churches today sing few, if any, Psalms at all. As well, more and more churches are so filled with instrumentation that it's difficult-to-impossible to hear the congregation singing over the amped microphones and instruments.
Just to let you know, I don't personally subscribe to strict and exclusive Psalmody, even though I'm a member (an a deacon) in a denomination that practices such. However, I never have to worry that the song I'm singing might not be Biblical. There are plenty of "great hymns of the faith" that are utter rubbish, and there are possibly some decent modern songs, even if the tune is crappy and sounds like a cereal commercial.

It's prophecy. Many fake churches and profits will go down.
Jesus isn't a religion. It's not about going to church. It's about having a relationship with Jesus. Giving him your sins and asking for forgiveness. That's all he wants from us. He gave his life so we may live. Get to know him. I've known him all my life. I feel him. I've heard him and when I was nine I saw him in a vision.
We are nearing the end of this Age of Grace. All truly saved will rapture out. Then God will clean the earth of sinners and sin through his wrath. Then Jesus will come back to the earth and rule in his kingdom for 1000 years. We believers will be in heaven for eternity.

When the news broke about hillsong it was not a surprise to anyone who has been invovled in any way which I as only in a very minor way when ironically hillsong took over two of the churches I attended, when it happened a second time having extracted myself once I just thought here we go again, gave them the benefit of the doubt but when I questioned the 'pastor' I use that term very loosely when referring to any of the hillsong leadership he falt out denied they were part of hillsone - interesting as they have all the branding on everything that comes out of that church and the have to send report to hillsong after every 'experience' every event, and they are not even allowed to allow anyone to 'preach' or take any leadership role (many were eased out following the take over) if they have not been to hillsong bollege or been indoctrinated by hillsong in some way............
So I have long since realised this is a house of cards which now one or two of the strategically place cards have been taken out it will fall and the fall out will affect anyone tainted by association and/or running a similar scam.
This I have come to realise is/was a corporate machine, a cult, a pyramid scheme, a franchise it is not now and in fact never was a church for saving souls but a money making for those 'leaders and pastors' willing to follow the rules a high flying wealthy lifestyle - the fact that most of them - and I am not being unkind or mean but they were all too often broken, not especially gifted or intelligent just easy to manipulate and gullible.
Sadly this will take a long time for the majority of them to recover from I only hope they do actually have a core of faith so the lord can help them because hillsong will simply throw them all under the bus then drive it over them

@B G That'll be the day! The GCC/John MacArthur scandal as recently reported on Julie Roys's website (based on actual trial records and the conviction of the child abuser they defended i.e David Gray) is one of the most horrendous I have ever read and yet you won't see any of these Reformed Guys like this one, Justin Peters, Colin Miller etc even mention it.
The biggest MacArthur devotee/idolater Tim Hurd of BTWN even twisted some facts and ignored others to DEFEND MacArthur!
It's ironic how they are always eager to report on any whiff of scandal in the charismatic churches they clearly detest.
They are shamelessly hypocritical and worship MacArthur just like many Catholics worship the pope: they regard him as infallible, they idolize him and they defend him with more passion than they defend God.
I guess they just take MacArthur's "hatchet man" Phil Johnson's word for it without investigating for themselves, just as blinded Catholics take their biased priest's word for it whenever a bishop or pope is exposed.
I guess the numerous times that we're told in Scripture that GOD SHOWS NO PARTIALITY has zero effect on them and they figure it's ok to show as much favoritism and partiality as they want.
They are as hypocritical as the Pharisees and have even less excuse since unlike the Pharisees they have the whole canon of Scripture available (but they choose to ignore it in order to follow MEN like Augustine, Calvin and MacArthur etc etc).
[PS I am no Arminian nor Hillsong devotee. I don't follow men. I just love Truth and so I love fairness i.e JUSTICE because I love God].
"He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.
And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.
Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye" (Mark 7:6-9, 13)

@@leenieledejo6849 @@leenieledejo6849 This is one of the best responses I have read, especially the bit on ignoring men and following the truth. That is me to a T too. Justin Peters was one person I had admired right up to the fateful day he posted that covert support for JM interview. Not only did it reveal his true heart but it was an exceptionally stupid thing to do if he was unsupportive of him over this matter. I unsubscribed from his ministry immediately, despite having sought his advice and got a direct response from him about what he advised about leaving my present charismatic church.
One thing is for sure: none of these Calvinist pastors online will dare to post another 'submissive wife' or 'complimentarian wife' preach without either expressing what they mean, which is biblically true, or showing themselves up to be complete hypocrites and covert supporters of criminal spousal and child abuse.
The only one that I think is genuine so far is Paul Washer. I hope he is not daft enough to support GCC or even hint at it. Otherwise, all of his past videos on the subject will reveal who he truly is. I don't think for one minute he actually believes GCC is in the right so hopefully there won't be any danger of him making that mistake. If he has any sense he won't even take calls or respond to any requests for his opinion on the matter, if asked. Even responding with 'no comment' would be fatal. This matter is far from over.
I don't think these chauvinists realise just what a disservice they have done to Christianity. It will be nigh on impossible for any GCC supporter over or tacit to defend their witnessing of the faith against the State trying to shut them down for being Christian and justifying their attempts to do so by citing how hypocritical and unpolitically correct they are' which is how they would couch it. So any uprising against the State will be seen as arrogant not a forward march for Jesus.
I tell you something else. I think God may be clearing out all of the dead wood from the church, pending his return. This is the result. There is a good reason why pastors and Elders needed to be of good character and above reproach. It was so that they could mount a defence against persecution which could be legitimate on the eyes of God and not just childish disobedience against the State. So if they were to defy state attempts to shut them down, they would be seen as personally criminal and for no good reason at all, being the Pharisees they are, as well as being supporters of criminality in others.

When you describe having to understand the need for Christ, before it means anything, does 'the wages of sin is death/hell' not imply that free will tends to overpower submission to God unless the threat is big enough? Is that the underlying subtext of the gospel and humanity itself?
I would like to think of a relationship with God without the threat of Hell, but it doesn't exist, does it? The threat is inherently a basis of the relationship and used as the primary motivator to not displease God? It seems the Israelites lived under a softer threat-cursing from God in this life and spiritual or physical death, but not much is made of Hell in the Old Testament. Maybe that's why, as the Old Testament describes, Israelites were not an obedient people?

Ezekiel 34:11 "For this is what the Sovereign Lord says: 'I Myself will search for My sheep and look after them.' " Surely we should confront sin and rebuke it sharply, but you're doing neither, only sharing the latest "ooooh did you hear what so and so did?!" Just like the tabloids one is faced with while paying for something at the store.

The testimony of Peter’s denial and restoration is certainly biblical. But the Bible also commands us to call out false teachers.

Are you a pastor???? Sorry, but you do not look or sound like one and I do not feel the LOVE ❤️ THE LORD SAID: Matthew 7:15-23 NKJ
You Will Know Them by Their Fruits
15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them. I am praying 🙏🏽 for you to be Born Again and to Receive The HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

I didn't know a pastor had to sound or look like a pastor. And love can't be felt. Respectfully, love isn't an emotion, but it's something that is commanded of us. 1 Cor. 13 says what love is like. John 15 says love one another as I have loved you. Love is a choice. Jesus said his own followers were slow to believe all that he had spoken. He rebuked them for trying to call down fire on others. Jesus wasn't always what people would call nice but He was always loving.

@@RebeccaJeffersonOAC It's in the eyes. A man of God radiates light and JOY, part of the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23).
Pray for Joel because he doesn't.
Too many young men are eager to become "pastors" these days but the role itself owes more to tradition than the New Testament.
So go figure why there are so many scandals, men becoming "burned out" etc.
It's because they are walking in disobedience.
A CEO type figure is nowhere described in the NT.
We are told in Romans, Colossians, Ephesians and 1 Corinthians that there is ONE head (Christ) and all of us have giftings that are equal in value.
Jesus's words in Matthew 20 and the verses in 1 Corinthians 12 imply the total opposite of a "CEO/boss" man.
Deacons, elders (old men) and bishops (overseers who went from house church to house church overseeing) obviously had a discreet and humbling service role, not a "lording it over others" role.

@@leenieledejo6849 I think, respectfully, you might be injecting a little subjectivity into this. Joy doesn't always mean a Christian is constantly smiling or that he only says things on the positive end, ie., things that make believers feel happy. Christian leaders are to absolutely point out false doctrine and protect their flocks as pastors from wolves. That will involve being stern and at times maybe sounding a little critical, even tho this will doubtlessly be misunderstood by others. Not sure where you're getting the CEO thing from. Is your problem Joel's personality or some of the things that Joel has said? If so, then a separation needs to be made between a person's personality and what they actually say. I think even favorite preachers will sometimes say things that you or I would not like because of a perceived personality flaw. That does not mean that what they say is unbiblical or invalid. We have to be careful of writing off people just because they don't fit into our mold of what a pastor "should" look like.
