The old 'dim sum' shop near the central vegetable market in Phuket was something else! Get in there about 6am and the market traders were in full feeding frenzy! Hard to spend more than B70. Loved those days some 35 years ago!
For a couple of split seconds, I thought I was watching Anthony Bourdain. Great review. 👍👍 I'm gonna have to check the place out in the next day or two. Thanks!
I think that is the nicest looking restaurant you've shown us. The food looked great. We've always had dim sum served via the little roller carts, it's fun to watch what others are having and point that out to your waiter. My wife wants to go to phuket but I'm going to try and convince her to pattaya after all the places you've featured. JAL has changed our itinerary three times since we booked and the trip is getting weirder, hope it holds together.
Dim sum looked very good indeed, I noticed one of my favourites on your table (har gauw, not sure if my spelling is correct, steamed prawn dumplings), I think that place would be a must for me when I do eventually visit south east Asia, thanks for sharing Lucas, regards from England 🍺🍺👍
I had to pause video n go search fridge....found vanilla ice-cream.....that's good for now. When i visit pattaya i will definitely visit this place.🙏✈️
Very nice restaurant and very nice introduction. I had never heard about it before. I will definitely try it out next time I am in Pattaya. Are the non-alcohol drinks included?
Here in the Seattle area there are a number of Dim Sum places, the best one is called ,triumph like in the motorcycle. A number of people have fled Hong Kong and have brought with them the know how of how to make Dim Sum, we win. Number of Chines Restaurant here as well. What kinda flower? A friend of mine in China liked this flower tea call Mum tea and it was a flower tea. Come to find out it was a Chrysanthemum, but he couldn't pronounce it. So MUM tea it is. Yellow flower. It was still worth it Lucas, Thanks for the video🙏
yum cha is a big event here in Australia especially Sundays and kicks off about 10:30-11-00am, I picked you for the yellow desert as I thought Vee would be grabbing for the larger plate of dessert 5555
Hi Lucas & Vee like you I love Yum Cha many places in Brisbane to eat it on Sunday, this place looks yummy and as you said lovely room and views I think worth a visit when I get back in town. I will be in Hong Kong in a few weeks time I am looking forward to the food it has to offer on the way back to Brisbane can’t wait. Keep up the great work Cheers Irish Paul
I was in the downstairs restaurant six weeks ago. My almost solitary meal was enlivened by a keyboard player doing a rendition of Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.
Nice find... Did not know about that Dim Sum offering... For the price, I'd say well worth it. for Pattaya... The menu looks good but limited (compared to HK/and/or "back home" (don't get me started on prices back home).. Everything looks "hand made" which is good... I imagine reservations are a must. Last Dim Sum Buffet I went to was at Dunsit Thani (not sure if still there after covid)... Heard the weekend Dim Sum at the Royal Cliff is back open too (but not a buffet)... Cheers... Looking fwd to your review of the Somerset hotel next...
I haven't had good dim sum in years. Definitely on my list now. It seemed a bit on the high end, price wise but then the quality looked high end as well. Man that made me hungry lol. Great video Loucas 👍✌️🙏 Ps. Hope Vee is doing good 🙏
To my shame iv'e never ever tried Dim Sum 🤦♂But you showing places like this most of us wouldn't have a clue existed .Brilliant .£16 per head is a great price for all that .Dread to think what the price of staying there is .That pool Brought back memories of a Hotel i stayed in on Samui/Lamai .Thanks Lucas 🙏
I love dimsum. 1800 baht is a super deal for us western people. In California, it would cost around $80 to $100.00 for what you ordered. This will be my weekly place to eat with my girlfriend and friends when I move to Pattaya. Chicken feet, my favorite.
Was searching for a good dim sum in pattaya for december. Used to go to MK and bring my own soy sauce as sometimes they didnt have it. this looks like the place.
😀WOW! WELL DONE Lucas and Vee! My fave thing too and sadly ours is now $6 to $8 minimum per plate, and getting harder to find in PNWEst :( Di it a week or so ago and for daughter and I, it was $53 USD! Food and place looked wonderful and will definitely put on list if I ever make it there! ALL THE BEST and Cheers!!! :)
Definite must try I think I guess we don’t mind paying a little extra if the food and service surpass our expectations. I got the impression you really like Dim sum 😂
700 baht sounds like a steal for a higher quality buffet, can't find anything close to that price in Stockholm, double it easily. Can't wait to go back, 2 months left!
Thanks for sharing, Lucas, in my neck of the woods. Been meaning to go so I’m happy for your review. Must take the girlfriend for this buffet soon. Very reasonably priced even with the service charge and controversial taxes.
Price of dim sum in Vegas has gone up for quite sometimes now. Anywhere from $5 - 6 for the usual Har Gow, Shumai, etc. And $ 8 - 10 for specialty. I usually spend about $80 for 2 people when we have dim sum.
In a big city on the East coast USA, dim sum is now $4 for small and $6-$12 for a medium/large. You got yourself a huge bargain in Pattaya! In your opinion, does it match anything you had in Hong Kong or stateside?
It was on par with many of the places I've eaten at in big cities, casinos and even Hong Kong. There was nothing that left me feeling a sense of wanting something more authentic.
Damn you really love your food....a real foody..... it's great to see even if that's just not me.🙂 Very interesting and love how you find so many different and interesting venues in Pattaya 👍
I honestly am not a huge fan of dim sum. I had it about 3 times in my life and the last time was about 7 years ago. I think it's because I don't know what to order. One thing I do know is I love those shrimp wantons. Seems like a fair price considering all the other intangibles.
I wish the buffets in My area were that cheap, specially the ones that serve You the food. A real hidden gem. Excellent work. Happy travels and stay safe. God bless You guys👍🏿.
Have a great day Lucas 🤙🙏🍺🇺🇸🇹🇭🇦🇺👍
Same to you Erikh 👍🙏
Great find Lucas - keep knocking it out of the park 🙏
Dim Sum is one of my favorites, will be trying this out when I arrive, thanks Lucas!
Have fun!
Everything looked delicious! Lou. Including the waitresses in their silk uniform 👍
yes, things like that were such a lovely touch Bill, I agree. 👍🙏
Here right now. So good. Thank you for recommendation
thanks for sharing great video and great food
Looks amazing, great review

Hope you enjoy it!
What a feast!! Must remember to skip the full english breakfast when i visit.
Haha, yeah I think that would be for the best. 😂👍🙏

Impressive food and great review as always. Put that place on my bucket list in December when there. 🇦🇺🇦🇺👍👍
Dim sim/Yum cha is awesome. Great way to get a nice mix of food. Will eat myself into a state of hibernation when there next week.
Very nice, enjoy 👍

This looks very good. Also is vee feeling better , Hope she is doing better.
Thanks for posting this, did not know they had dim sum there and it looks amazing.
Looks great , you certainly get the tough jobs .That is very good for people with Kidney problems or those who have one Kidney removed .
Shanghai soup dumplings are my favorite, and then har gow dumplings... I would have ordered everything on the menu...
I had to pause video n go search fridge....found vanilla ice-cream.....that's good for now. When i visit pattaya i will definitely visit this place.🙏✈️
Lolz, very nice. Vanilla Ice cream for the win 👍🙏
Very nice restaurant and very nice introduction. I had never heard about it before. I will definitely try it out next time I am in Pattaya. Are the non-alcohol drinks included?
nice place! i have never had dim sum, surprisingly. Looks like a must try establishment!

Thanks Denny sounds like you have some good eats there in Seattle 👍
Great video, is this buffet eat as much as you want
one would think that they would use Fresh Wipped Cream instead of the old boring spray can !! 5555
well presented Lucas , a fine job again
yum cha is a big event here in Australia especially Sundays and kicks off about 10:30-11-00am, I picked you for the yellow desert as I thought Vee would be grabbing for the larger plate of dessert 5555
Love a bit of Dim Sum - Har Gau and Char Siu Bao...mmm.
Lucas back to his brilliant best 👌 👍
Good place to eat Dim Sum. And restaurant looks up scale too. Loocus, I seen your new shirt Sunday, he said it's done, looks good. Take care

Awesome Paul, enjoy 👍
I was in the downstairs restaurant six weeks ago.
My almost solitary meal was enlivened by a keyboard player doing a rendition of Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.
Wow, a bit early but sounds cheerful nonetheless 👍🤣
Gonna try it next time in Pattaya. Thanks
Enjoy David 👍
Or as my USA friends used to say...dim sum and then some. Looks delicious!
And great bit at the end about the traffic. Best to sometimes be on a motorcycle 👍
These 3 day weekends bring so many people to town, that is the scene for real 👍
Is it compulsory to leave a tip in Thailand as you have never mentioned this?
Kohb khun krap Lucas ;o) You just gave me the desire to Dim Sum !
Very good, enjoy 👍
Excellent find. Thank you for sharing 👍❤️👍.+1
Thank you 👍

Yeah Tom I agree, I think everything was hand made. We did not make reservations but we arrived early so had no issues. 👍

Man that made me hungry lol.
Great video Loucas 👍✌️🙏
Ps. Hope Vee is doing good 🙏
Thanks Rich, it's a great place, you also can order ala cart if you aren't up to full buffet. 👍
So awesome!! Love Dim Sum!!! What, no Sriracha to go with the hot oil and vinegar?? LOL!
yeah, that is another good one to use. 👍

😀WOW! WELL DONE Lucas and Vee! You must have been eating at the Dim Sum joints in Markham and Richmond Hill.
Yes, absolutely Rob, probably have eaten at every one of them 😂🤣
Wow that is a lot of food, that's enough food for three days for us.
😂🤣😂
I love classy Asian restaurants! This looks like one .
Absolutely 👍🙏
I need to try that Dim Sum when i get there one day! And stay at that resort too! Great vlog Lucas! Glad to see Vee out and about too!
Please do!
Expensive but nice.
700 baht sounds like a steal for a higher quality buffet, can't find anything close to that price in Stockholm, double it easily. Can't wait to go back, 2 months left!
Yes, even for here that is quite reasonable for a buffet like this.
Looks great making me hungry haha
Thanks for sharing, Lucas, in my neck of the woods. Been meaning to go so I’m happy for your review. Must take the girlfriend for this buffet soon. Very reasonably priced even with the service charge and controversial taxes.
I think it's worth it Andrew, don't think you'll be disappointed, enjoy 👍
Wow, they brought the food to you. So it was a quasi buffet. Look very good. That much food will cost you $50 a person.
Yes, just check off the sheet, sit and wait patiently and the food arrives. 🤣👍🙏🙏
Do they do any other buffets or only the Dim Sum??
I think that's it for that restaurant, but unsure what else the resort offers in other areas.
@@Rides4Kickz the Hilton used to do different buffets. Nice place with a great view.
Price of dim sum in Vegas has gone up for quite sometimes now. Anywhere from $5 - 6 for the usual Har Gow, Shumai, etc. And $ 8 - 10 for specialty. I usually spend about $80 for 2 people when we have dim sum.
Wow, ouch. Thanks though 🤣👍🙏
What place had the better quality/tastier food in your opinion- this buffet or Shanghai restaurant you visited a couple months back?
Two different cuisines, but if I had to chose between the two, I'd pick this one.
You do find the Places..You need a BIGGER Table for
all the Food .....And how is Vee feeling , We Hope all
is well..
Yeah, big tables Ray, Vee is doing a bit better.
Nice video, please share already the name of the new hotel please you are going to stay.
Will be staying at the brand new Somerset Hotel in Pattaya. The video will be out tomorrow.
Them some (Dim Sum) nice dishes.
So good
is that the only shirt you have ??
In a big city on the East coast USA, dim sum is now $4 for small and $6-$12 for a medium/large. You got yourself a huge bargain in Pattaya! In your opinion, does it match anything you had in Hong Kong or stateside?

Need to pamper Vee, get her some shrimp. Glad she is feeling better.
Thanks Robert👍🙏
Looks great reasonable price too. Was that woman in the white robe trying to shoo the people out of the pool so she could get a photo? lol
Damn you really love your food....a real foody..... it's great to see even if that's just not me.🙂
Very interesting and love how you find so many different and interesting venues in Pattaya 👍

"woosta sauce" , from the China Worcester ?
Absolutely 🤣👍🙏

Xious?
Is Ve ok now she is looking a little better 🙏❤️
She's doing better, not 100 percent yet, hopefully soon.
when you think in US dollars, from a Canadian dollar view point, pass, cheaper at home
For Cantonese the tea more important then the dim sum 😅
Many teas to choose from
Nice place, food looked delicious though I’m not a big Chinese food person, nice review Lucas!
Thanks! 😃
Look very good! Sorry for asking! Do you get a special treatment because they may know that you are a famous TH-camr? 😊
I honestly am not a huge fan of dim sum. I had it about 3 times in my life and the last time was about 7 years ago. I think it's because I don't know what to order. One thing I do know is I love those shrimp wantons. Seems like a fair price considering all the other intangibles.
When I was a kids my grandpa bring me to have dim sum every morning. 😝 is a lifestyle for many southern Chinese
Nice. will put on list of things Lucas recommended.
Awesome, enjoy Bobby 👍🙏
Just the 13 dishes then? God bless Murica! 😂
👍👍👍
Beautiful place and the food looked amazing too!
Thanks, we really enjoyed it. 👍
❤
7:53 Vee is in a food coma.
Haha, yeah probably 😂👍
I wish the buffets in My area were that cheap, specially the ones that serve You the food. A real hidden gem. Excellent work. Happy travels and stay safe. God bless You guys👍🏿.
Thanks Antonio, always a pleasure to have you along 👍
The tax will only become more common if people accept it. If there are hidden costs then just don't eat there!
Heard you are friends now with my mate Wayne from Australia, just sayin'
