I really appreciate for your great shows and your precious book that helps a lot in my journey. I wish world has more like you to help who has OCD because you really care about recovery of people and make world a better place
Thank you for making these videos! So helpful and encouraging. I always get mad at myself when I realize I’m engaging in safety behaviours. Often my mind is like “No this is not a compulsion” even though it is :)) But thanks to you I’m not so hard on myself now. All the best.
Thanks Matt! Needed this reminder and encouragement today. Felt like I was having a bit of a setback and needed to get out of my head and hear someone else's words for a bit. Very helpful
Hi Matt, Iv been having a major setback with existential/Solipsism ocd. I literally feel back to square one, I admit I engaged in forums and compulsions to quickly fix it (stupid) but then I started to expose myself to the theory and other theories again (reading, watching videos) but then my anxiety skyrocketed and I just kept watching more. Now I also feel like exposing myself to more theories has just given me even more to fixate on. Free will/non duality/dreaming and reality etc.. all things I wasn’t even thinking of before. Do you have any advice to get over this specific setback? Am I doing exposures wrong is there something else I should be trying? I have two young kids this theme has brought me to my knees.
@@Tangentbordsblues the people that have an issue with solipsism have an issue with exactly that ^ no other minds, other consciousness. Makes zero sense to be honest it’s a stupid theory but none of them are disprovable and someone like myself with OCD gets hung up on that control aspect. Like if I can’t prove this wrong then I can never know forsure and that makes anything you fear feel like it’s 100% happening/possible.

You got this!
Very good, clear and grounded information. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
If OCD relapses and setbacks can be managed then why is it like some people are able to manage the relapses comfortably while the others get stuck??

What is so bad about solipsism? One mind, one consciousness, one universe experiencing itself from many perspectives at the same time..
@@Tangentbordsblues lol but “what’s so bad”
