Hi, I love the channel already, good job guys! I love the whole concept of the Wharrams, they're my favourite, the deck space, the simplicity, the lack of hardware... are you planning to do some more technical videos about the boat? More vids on how you built her, how you sail her (do you also use sheet-to-tiller steering as well as the autopilot etc), all the Wharram features, even down to those cool rope hinges would be excellent to see!
It's like a trip back to the 60's. Too much like camping on the water for me, my old bones need comfort and safety. Looks like you're having a great time, I just hope you never get caught in a bad storm in that.
Take a look at a Tiki 38 called Vasco Pyjama.. a wharram is what you chose to make it... theres also the Islanders and larger Pahi's.. They are all designed for seakeeping .. and can be beached for drying out.
Its unfortunate that some of the Islands rivers get filled with litter ...when you get rain storms it all gets swept down into the sea. Fortunately they have started fitting intercepter booms and nets and ocean clean up equipping them with speciall boats to convayer belt collect the floating material between adjustable collector arms .. You might want to treat that wood against termites.. 😉
To my knowledge that’s happening in Guatemala. We are in Guadeloupe. The rivers here are pristine. I didn’t even see one piece of litter. Also France uses far less plastic packaging than other parts of the world
@@ZigZagSailing_113 I know the French isles tend to be more organised the poorer islands like Jamaica, Haiti and there were others were where they were concentrating their efforts .. But then there's the stuff that gets swept in from the US Mexico Panama and other regions like the sargassum . The plastics are difficult to deal with on islands unless you can recycle them by melting and moulding as plastic slabs or what they refer to as plastic plastic timber.... they tend to use it for decking or jetties etc. Buried or burned they just create a new set of problems usually further down the line.
Pig ear? Those are not good for their digestive system… if they ever seem to have an issue…start there. I love your.. well all puppies 🐶 many Blessings I admire yalls gumption, trust, and faith you have in your vision of life and one another 🕊️

Unfortunately I think a lot of it just gets burned.
