- Presenting my submission for the Endless Engines 3D Community Challenge, hosted by our boy @pwnisher! First time entering one of his challenges, so I really pushed my laptop to the brink with this one, even broke my gpu fan.. worth it! Took me about 2 weeks, working a few hours during the day and night.
- Plot: Podracing has been outlawed... Now, civilians use old repulsorcrafts to travel and scavenge the vast, open lands for parts and resources. Here we have a rogue Corellian civilian traveling through the deserts of Er'Kit, searching for a remote, broken-down corellian power plant that technically, no one should know about... Our voyager is about to be met with an unpleasant circumstance as we arrive to our desolate destination.
- Landscape is Quixel (of course). "Podracer" turbines/engines are kitbashed from an old batmobile model and a mando ship I sourced from cgtrader. Textured and rendered with C4D Octane. Composited in Ae. Designed audio in Pr (I used some movie audio... shh)

Now, this is Pod-Racing! ;)
I'm glad someone did this good job.
I knew this was coming. I mean how can you have a challenge like endless engines without a SW pod racer. Nice work.
Cool, the power of Octane Render
Really Nice, Excellent Work!
very cool!
Luke would be proud
"It's working! It's working!" Haha thanks dude
Nice idea
Great job, thanks for the input. You have my like Greetings
Good job!
lets go
Really cool! How did you do what you did at 0:18? Where the flaps’ movement are all connected to the one rotation?
Thanks man! It's a simple cloner object with a vibrate tag and some keyframes on the original instance/object you are cloning.
whatttttttttttt???????????? R U Serious
constructive criticism here, but are the ropes supposed to be taut? like the physics of it should be being pulled so the ropes would be straight, no? im just a viewer, dont know shit about this stuff. but all in all very buttery render.
I totally understand what you mean - but It's a bit tricky. The pod/car itself hovers and acts like a sort of magnet. The engins don't do ALL the pulling. So there is a bit of wiggling but not too much. Star Wars physics lol
@@cd_core actual star wars physics. top100 for sure. good luck
Great, what software did you use?
c4d/octane and after effects/premier for compositing.
