Thank you Cherry! I get them from everywhere. The client sent me a few pics of what she wanted and just said....do your thing! (those are the best customers lol) =}
Thank you Onetier, I'm slow so I think that's what makes it's look easy I just take my time! (plus you don't hear me fussing up a storm when I mess up) lol =}
So very beautiful, and I also just love watching and learning from you!! I can't wait to try adding the cake after the center dowel is placed on the board first, any tips on that? thank you again sweet lady!! Amy Jo :))
Thank you Amy Jo! I don't really have any pointers because it's really easy.....the only thing I can think of is holding your hand over the top of your cake and pressing the fondant down over the PVC as it comes thru so it doesn't pull your fondant off the top of your cake! You will love using a center support it takes soooo much stress out of handling/delivering your cakes!!! =}
Amazing work as usual, but I have a question, u put the red fondant and removed it and put it again, and didn't have any buttercream. Is the cakes frozen, also don't ur fondant cakes sweat. I have this problem and they are not even frozen I put them only in fridge. Thanks for ur awesome work. I learned so much from u.
Thank you so much Marwa, I put them in the fridge not the freezer and I also use a crusting buttercream....that's why I can put fondant on and take it back off without pulling the buttercream off with it! They DO sweat but I use that to my advantage in decorating because I don't have to use gum glue or water, I use the "sweat" to stick pieces to it and once it comes to room temp the sweating dries completely! Hope that helps! =}
Hi lovely! I have a question......if I add marshmallow s to my fondant will that make a larger batch of fondant? I underpriced a cake and I thought if I added marshmallow to my fondant it would make more? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Sorry I'm asking you because you seeing down to earth and I think you would know. Thank you and I'm eagerly waiting on your response.
Hmmm how did you make it in the first place? The way I make fondant I use marshmallows so if you didn't use them to make it with I'm not sure what adding them would do? My first thought is that it won't matter at all but like I said, I'm not sure what you might have used and if it will combine well with the MM's. Liz Marek's recipe (LMF) is the one I use and it's marshmallows, powdered sugar, tiny bit of water plus a small amount of Wilton's fondant so I really think you will be perfectly fine adding them to it! Let me know how it goes! =}
Thank you Omella! These cakes take about 8-10 hours to complete and I manages to get them down to a time that most people enjoy. As a whole, people don't want to watch a long drawn out video. (I can tell in my analytics) I do have some videos posted that aren't speeded up where I teach what I'm doing and will have more in the near future, I hope you find those helpful!
