Aww, Remy is too adorable! And I love how you set up your apartment. I definitely think you’ve utilized all your space without it feeling cluttered. Great inspiration for those of us with smaller homes. And I agree about the light. Your old apartment was so cute, but this one seems airier and I think it’s the windows for sure. So glad you’re back on TH-cam.
It's amazing how this young lady managed to install pieces of furniture that date back to 1960s into modern apartment and the way she appreciates her childhood memories . Thx you so much.❤
BABY CLOTHES!: I know it might sound silly due to the recent hype, however, Marie Kondo really does have it down pat. I watched her videos and re-did all of my drawers! It has saved me sooo much space and has been surprisingly easy to maintain. The folding in thirds and stacking vertically is key. Hope this helps!
OtterAnnihilation I did the same thing with my out of season clothes that were filling up an entire standard sized tote but damn it’s like 2/3 empty now and I have no idea what to do with the empty space now! 😂
One day you will look back at this tiny place and think “wow, we’ve come a long way since then”. Keep working hard and you’ll have everything you dreamed of.
The family I currently nanny for is a big believer in grouping outfits together and then rolling them up and putting them in the drawer. That way you pull out a onesie and pants that go together and it's all good.
I always donated one baby item for every new one we got for our kids. preferably close to the same size. sometimes I'd do several smaller items for one bigger one. My Daddy was in the Army and taught me years ago to roll any drawer clothing to make the most space of room. I've done it all my life,, taught my three kids, and now they are teaching their kids! Also, I'm a GA girl too. Born & raised in Columbus. Moved closer to family near Athens as a teen. Now I live outside of Savannah cause hubby's job brought us here 18 years ago!
Remy is so cute! I love how you’ve made the space work. A tip for baby clothes (especially as he gets out of the one piece outfits) is to fold the outfit together. I would fold the pants in half (or thirds) and then wrap the shirt around it (folding it in half over the pants). This allowed me to quickly grab an entire outfit without digging around!
Firstly you are an adorable human. Just listening to you out me in a better mood. Thank you for taking the time to do this video. My husband and I want to start a family. We were trying to find a house before Covid said no. Starting a family living in a one bedroom scared me. This definitely helped.
Over the door shoe holders! The pocket kind. You can do one on each side of the door. Great for diapers, lotions, towels.... I have two hanging on my small pantry door. The outside one has things like Febreeze and dailynuse cleaning things. The inside one is were I keep my stockpile of cleaning supplies. When both my kids were in high school, i kept lunch things in the outside one. A snack, chips, and breakfast bar in each pocket. That way they could just grab one pocket full of stuff, put it in their lunchbox, and go.
A good idea for your kitchen would be to get the wire racks that add extra stacking space for plates, bowls and mugs...you could use it to stack canned food as well... maybe that would open some cabinet space to get some things off the counters?
Agreed! I'm stuck here in California. While I do love the weather on the Central Coast and I have beautiful beaches and scenery to look at, I just struggle financially so much so that it's not worth it. When my youngest graduates high school, I'm out.
That’s true, I can’t imagine being in a small apartment like that. However, at least one of Erin’s brothers and literally Adams’s entire family (extended and immediate) live in California. I know there are a lot of kids in Adam’s family-not sure if they see them or not-but maybe they want to have family around.
I don’t know if you ever check your TH-cam notifications anymore, but I have watched you since literally your first video. Here recently your videos have been popping up a lot more on my recommended videos. I used to love watching your cooking videos. I hope you and your family are doing well!
You’ve made your little apartment so cute and functional for your family...even though it is small and you will move on to a bigger place one day...i’m know you will look back on so many great memories of starting your family there...Some of my best memories are of when my husband and I got married didn’t have a ton of money. Our first little home was small but we had 3 kids while living there....the kids and i moved from there after my husband died suddenly....but 20 years later, some days, all i want is to be back in that little house again.
LA is so expensive. Im sure you'll be able to have a 2 bedroom soon, we upgraded when we felt it was time for my baby to sleep in her room. That time came when she was 4.
For baby clothes I roll everything and stand them up in drawer organizers separated by clothing type. It helps so you can see every item of clothing without having to dig through it 😊
PS. I love cleaning videos. They are so satisfying. They also give u cleaning tips and organizational tips. Cleaning, cooking, decorating I love all of that. Sometimes they will do a shop with me and buy necessities they need for the home or a day in the life videos of how they cook and clean and take care of their household. Busy moms on the go vlogs and how they do quick meals and get ready with me before they rush out the door.
I vote for little C-hooks for your coffee mugs! It raises them off of the bottom of the kitchen cabinets and gives you more room for dishes - life changing for us coffee lovers for sure! When we lived in a super small space with a new born, we hung a lot of stuff on the backs of doors (like the hanging organizers), and we stored extra stuff under our bed (either in the plastic bins or the organizers that could zip up). They also have the vacuum sealable cubes for your bulky items like blankets (again a HUGE space saver) that you can put winter clothes or other clothes you are otherwise storing away and it SUCKS THE EXTRA AIR OUT of the plastic and makes it literally 1/4ish the original size it took up. Amazing! You could probably free up a lot of your up high cabinets/closets in your room alone by doing that. I’m not sure if you have room under your cute couch, but we did and also used the zip up organizers under it as well. You have the right idea of going upwards in your storage as well (bathroom looks great!)😍 good luck!
You got my view a year/ a month later. When we needed to make room for my 1st baby, we cleared out an entire 2nd bedroom. I can’t imagine sharing a one bedroom with a new baby. I THINK you guys are a two income household, and I THINK you did the move to normal home so im so happy you both got it together 🙏❤️
I love all your sentimental keepsakes. The coffee bar is so adorable. Congratulations on your new journey of mommy hood. You have such a sweet family-including the fur babies.
Cute apartment! I love natural light too! That's why we choose the home we did, with all of it's natural light. Yes!! I love watching cleaning & organizing videos & would enjoy if you did some too.
Years (and several kids) ago, our family of 4 was living in a 4 room apartment. It was owned by family and free to us and 2 years was the limit on how long I could manage my sanity there, especially since I was pregnant with kiddo #3 buy the time we left. You’ve made excellent use of the space so congrats! When it came to organizing baby clothes, with a couple of mine, I tried to hang a lot of it. In our apartment, my daughter’s room didn’t have a closet so we got a bookshelf and fastened a tension rod just inside of it to have a place to hang her clothes. To keep drawers cleaner, I rolled things up. I bought lots of the same kind of plain white socks so that I could always just grab 2 socks and not have to pair them up. I put a mesh laundry bag next the hamper to put dirty ones in, washed and dried them in it, then just dumped them into the sock box! As far as general storage, we had plastic bins under every piece of furniture, I think. And every door had something hanging on the back to organize whatever I needed in that room.
Remy is so adorable! You have organized your space so well. I don't have the knack for that at all. I love his little area in your bedroom and how it looks like it's his own little bedroom. I would love to see cleaning videos, organizing videos, and always cooking videos. I have made your last 2 meals you posted.
In my opinion, the best way to fold baby clothes is to not fold them lol. My son is 2 and we just started folding his. I just didn't feel like it was worth my time to fold such tiny clothes. Loving your new videos!
For your paper towels you can get a little thing that hooks underneath your cabinets! I have a hard time having things on my counter too especially with all my daughters formula and bottles. You’ve done such a great job!!
So happy you’re back on TH-cam! Yes, I would love to see you start doing cleaning/organizing videos... I love those, too! I think you did a wonderful job with your space, and it looks so cozy and lovely. 💕
I use drawer dividers for little baby clothes. I tired the Marie Condo thing for baby clothes, but I just couldn't get it to work until they're bigger. The dividers I use are like an X lattice type situation (I think it's for undies) and then I roll the clothes and put them in so you can see every piece of clothing at a glance. Good luck! I'm loving the new content (and the revival of Erin Eats!)!!!
Erin- The apartment is very well organized. So amazing that you have the family 'rocker' and dining set! I think your home looks very cozy! So obvious you and Adam have filled your home with LOVE! Thanks for letting us see your sweet abode! God Bless you three! Love from here to there! Move to Washington.....it's so beautiful and the air is clean....just an idear.
Tips for folding*** Onesies and sleepers fold in half in the belly area. *not shoulder to shoulder* and then stack on top of each other. Then pants fold hip to hip then in half.. I learned that 6 months after my son was born. It helps. It doesn't make the cloths so bulky and fall over.
I have the same type of sewing machine from my grandmother and I couldnt bring myself to get rid of it but I didnt know what to do with it bc it's not exactly light.... you just gave me the best flippin idea!!! Thanks! Lol
Dollar tree storage containers are everything!! There are videos specifically dedicated to dollar store organization and they’ve helped me a ton with both my stuff and my babies! We are living in a motor home so I totally understand your situation😩 best of luck!💕
I CAN'T tell you how glad I am you guys are back! So missed you. I follow you on IG and knew you were doing well. I've been enjoying your new life and new videos. Thanks so much for sharing your world!
I use to just fold my babies short sleeve onesies in half. The long sleeve onesies I just folded the sleeves over each other then folded the whole thing in half. And baby skin is so delicate glad to hear your using baby detergent on Remys clothes.
This was a cute set up before the kid became mobile but within a couple months after this video I'm sure he tore through the apartment like a tornado or the Tasmanian devil? LOL this video brings me joy because it's very familiar and although I look back at the time my son was little very fondly I wouldn't want those paint back for anything! God bless this adorable little young family🙏🇺🇸✌
Despite it being a little cramped, I think you did a marvelous job making good use of the space. I also absolutely adore how you guys incorporated your baby items. It’s so precious ❤️ I hope it’ll somehow work out as he grows older. You’re doing a great job as a new Mom !
for baby clothes storage, you could use some kitchen drawers dividers. the ones you use to separate forks from spoons and stuff. any kind of separator really works, specially since baby clothes are so small.
My daughter’s changing table was handed down to us and it has a built in dresser underneath, which has been so useful and helpful. I bought some interlocking drawer dividers from Ikea (I’ve seen them sold other places). They are great in organizing her clothes by size and they also are good dividers for socks and other accessories. I also roll up her sleepers and they are easy to stack on top of each other with the dividers. You can also adjust the dividers as needed. Hope that helps!
You’ve done a great job organizing with the space you have!! The only thing I’d suggest is getting a crib skirt for Remy’s crib and storing somethings under there! We did the same with my daughter’s crib, and the skirt conceals every thing and no once can tell we have anything under there.
I know it was difficult to figure out space and making it look noncluttered ...but i actually love the minimalism and simplicity of your apartment !!! I think you utilized the space very well!
I also do my baby cloths Marie Kondo style bc it lets you see everything you’ve got once you open the drawer. I can explain in more detail how I fold etc you send you a video showing you if you’d want.
I suggest folding Remy’s clothes like Marie Kondo does because you have so much more space! My bedroom has a lot of furniture in it and I’m getting rid of my dresser to keep all my clothes in my closet, but the only way possible is to fold all my clothes the way she does. I found out I can actually fit about 25 t shirts in one of those small fabric bins with them folded that way!
Such a beautiful place! My daughter rolls all my granddaughters thing! She puts shirts with the pants and rolls it then instead of just put them on top of each other she stand the rolls up meaning she puts all them horizontal so you can see them without messing them up! And it’s great on saving space! Your such a great mommy!!!
What a great kitchen for a one bedroom apartment! Your place is so nice and organized. I don't like clutter either but the way you have things organized makes everything appear neat. Ive had to downsize drastically so found that putting in extra shelves in kitchen cabinets (can buy extra at Home Depot for pretty cheap if your cabinets shelves are removable and adjustable...and you can take them with you to next place) and organize things by height to utilize every inch of vertical space can give a bit more storage if you want more stuff off counters. Would love to see videos how you keep place clean!
Aww!! What a flashback for me!! We slept on a double bed, too, when I was pregnant with our first baby!! I still can't believe we survived that time in our life! 😂 PTL, a friend of ours gifted us a queen bed they no longer needed in a guest room before I was pregnant with baby #2!!
You can get a really nice carrier off Facebook market place or Craig’s list for a really affordable price! Just run it through the wash and you’re good to go! Just an idea!! So glad you are back I’ve missed you!!! ❤️❤️❤️
We have the same boppy thing! In case you do ever need to, I put ours through the wash no problem..one to many accidents and I felt like it needed a deep clean, I was worried but it worked so well!
As suggested below I'd look up "Marie Kondo method folding clothes." She has a Netflix show but there are tons of videos on TH-cam about how she folds clothes. She also has methods about decluttering and how to store stuff you don't use and how to make room.
I mean really, babies’ stuff takes up way more space than they do haha he’s happy with a spot to sleep, play and otherwise he’s Velcro’d to his sweet mama anyway! Love how you guys have laid this place out!
my life-changing babyclothes hack: get one of those over- the-door clear pocket shoe organizers & stick all go-to onesies, socks, & pants in there. its affordable, easily accessible ( you can see what you have) & keeps the stuff neat! I'll send you a pic through insta when I can 🤗
I loved this so much! It all looks great to me. Regarding baby clothes, I also recommend the KonMarie method because I do that with my toddlers clothes and it helps so so much. We also have moved all his footie pajamas to hanging in our closet since it makes more sense because he dresses in our room after his shower/bath. You guys could also do under the bed storage in rolling CLEAR bins for more of his clothes (I spent like $10 for each. It it’s worth it). I do this with other sizes he is not yet wearing or outgrowing because I swap with my sister in law who also has two boys. You look so radiant Erin and I feel it’s your happiness shining through. So happy for you and Adam and Remy.
My onesies...I hang 3 or 4 on a baby hanger...but you hang it by the part you snap. So turn it upside down snap it shut on the hanger. You can usually fit up to 4 but as they get bigger probably less. If you need a pic let me know where i can send one since i cant on here. Love you and your videos! Im so glad your back! I just had a little one as well. She is 7 weeks today!
Your dining table and chairs were in your great-grandmother's kitchen until your Meme got them. I think the table had a retro teal green formica top on it, I can't remember if it yours or the one I have, pretty sure it is yours. That is is why is is finely sanded, had to get all of the glue off.
What became easy for my daughter when i needed an outfit, i would lay a onesie down then get pants fold them in half. The i would roll the short over them. Put the onesie front in drawer where you can see it. So when she had a blow out or spit up. All i had to do was pull one out her drawer. I still do it and she’s almost 4!!!
Cleaning videos are the best! And I feel you on the tiny apartment front. Me, my boyfriend, and his brother are living in a two bedroom apartment, but we have so much junk, his brother has to sleep on the sofa in the living room because there's no room in the second bedroom :o
I think that family heirloom pieces are important and if they spark joy they belong in your space.
Thx you so much.❤
Just need to take a moment to appreciate how extra beautiful and radiant Erin is looking today 😍🎉🙌
I 100% agree with this!!!!! I can fit tons of clothes in one drawer folding this way!!!
Use the space under the crib for storage!!! It’s a great area for all the stuff you don’t need often!

My Daddy was in the Army and taught me years ago to roll any drawer clothing to make the most space of room. I've done it all my life,, taught my three kids, and now they are teaching their kids! me too!! esp for PJs that are sets, mine are 3 & 6 now so they don't wear onesies and this helps so much keeping them together!!
if bundling pieces together as outfits, also wrap matching socks inside the bundle. Efficient and frees up a sock drawer.
Firstly you are an adorable human. Just listening to you out me in a better mood.
Thank you for taking the time to do this video.
My husband and I want to start a family. We were trying to find a house before Covid said no. Starting a family living in a one bedroom scared me. This definitely helped.
You have been so efficient with your space. I love the attachment to your grandparents through furniture. Thank you for the tour❤
Over the door shoe holders! The pocket kind.

Ogh gurl get out of Cali, just imagine how much square footage you could get in Texas or Georgia for the same money.
Agreed! I'm stuck here in California. While I do love the weather on the Central Coast and I have beautiful beaches and scenery to look at, I just struggle financially so much so that it's not worth it. When my youngest graduates high school, I'm out.

The ergo baby carrier was the only one that didn’t hurt my neck and back. I highly recommend it
I love cleaning videos! Power hours are the best!!

She puts shirts with the pants and rolls it then instead of just put them on top of each other she stand the rolls up meaning she puts all them horizontal so you can see them without messing them up! And it’s great on saving space! Your such a great mommy!!!
Really cute apartment! Thanks for sharing how well you organize and keep things so nice and tidy.
Yes to the cleaning and organization videos... I’d love to see them! ❤️
Looks great & very clean
What a great kitchen for a one bedroom apartment! Your place is so nice and organized. I don't like clutter either but the way you have things organized makes everything appear neat. Ive had to downsize drastically so found that putting in extra shelves in kitchen cabinets (can buy extra at Home Depot for pretty cheap if your cabinets shelves are removable and adjustable...and you can take them with you to next place) and organize things by height to utilize every inch of vertical space can give a bit more storage if you want more stuff off counters. Would love to see videos how you keep place clean!
So glad to have you back!! Remy is just adorable... thanks for sharing your cooking and your home and your family!!
I am so excited that you're vlogging again! Congrats on the baby! My little man was born September 2019!
Maybe a full sized armoire to put the baby clothes in? You can go higher to get max storage and some things could be hung
💙💓💙 Great use of your space guys!!! 💙💓💙
If you want an app that covers everything (feedings, naps, diapers and all that jazz), BabyConnect is awesome.
I love your cute little apartment, doesn't look crowded or cluttered at all.
Thank you!
@@ErinElyse You're welcome 😊
I mean really, babies’ stuff takes up way more space than they do haha he’s happy with a spot to sleep, play and otherwise he’s Velcro’d to his sweet mama anyway! Love how you guys have laid this place out!
I just love that you’re back!! :) really enjoying all the new videos and life changes for you!
Using the foot to open stuff is definitely a mom skill 😊 new sub here, have been sub'ed to Josh for a couple of years now.
🌼🌸You have such a talent for decorating! You've really made a homey, adorable space for all of you. Wishing you Adam and Remy a lovely week🌸🌼
I hope you know that every time you post a video it makes my day haha. 💜💜💜
Roll the baby clothes! If you're keeping them separated by type it helps save space and you can still see the print and color of the item of clothing.
my life-changing babyclothes hack: get one of those over- the-door clear pocket shoe organizers & stick all go-to onesies, socks, & pants in there. its affordable, easily accessible ( you can see what you have) & keeps the stuff neat!
I love the color of UR counter tops an cabnets so pretty.
Try rolling his sleepers & onesies into a roll konmorie style. That might give you more space as well. He is super cute! Congrats 👶🏼🍼
What a lovely, warm home you’ve created!
OH how funny my nephews got some of the same pics above his crib lol. Awww those baby bed sheets r2 cute.
Beautiful apartment Erin. You made it look so welcoming. Awesome job.
You’re amazing and I love all of your videos!! I’ve been binge watching all of them!! ❤️❤️❤️ love you guys and the baby Remy is so cute!!
Cleaning videos are the best! And I feel you on the tiny apartment front. Me, my boyfriend, and his brother are living in a two bedroom apartment, but we have so much junk, his brother has to sleep on the sofa in the living room because there's no room in the second bedroom :o
I like how you put everything together! And that kitchen is great!
Love the simplicity of your apartment! So homey! 💜💜💜💜💜
Anything you vlog I’ll watch . I’m just happy your back . Love your family .😇✌🏾❤️⭐️🙏🏽😎
I love ur home. It looks so inviting and cosy. Xxx
Marie Kondo baby clothes! It saves so much space especially how she folds footie pjs 🙌🏻
Your apartment looks nice. 🙂
Good to see you and Remy
I LOVE the cleaning and organizing channels/videos! I can’t wait for you to do them!
Now I need a Joshua video!!!
