wow the way Juan Carlos smiled at Carlos Alcaraz at 3:23:15, that was definitely like from a proud dad. He is surrounded with great people that absolutely love and care for him
Early boomers might have short ceiling. Lets see. Next decade or so will be Medvedev much part of it. Then there are others. If Alcaraz can differentiate from the groups to challenge medvedev
And now he became the youngest Miami Open Champion. Now it truly seems like he will dominate the men's game. Hope he stays injury free in his career🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
His attitude is golden, very gracious in defeat as well as in winning. To think he was ranked 54 in the world then, 12 months later Number 1 .if that doesn’t blow you away. The Men’s game has become super interesting…
His drop shot may be already the best of all time. And the lobe is one of the best. As is of Andy Murray and some others. Backhand has other players. There are much better backhands. Forehand is great.
Who ever ? puts these US open full matches on U Tube, Thank You..., I watch This Carlos matches over and over again..., so talented, what a amazing Athlete..., so exciting and fun to watch..., Love this KID....
I taught tennis, indoor club NYC, Tennisport, been to many US opens. Carlito is friggin amazing. Been in tennis at high level 1973 til 1989. without Carlito tennis would be ZIP, please protect this phenom
He is truly his own style. The only thing I could even pretend to compare him to is a mixture between Nadal and Thiem. The big backhand shot making of Thiem, as well as Thiem’s shot style and form (except for the two hand backhand), and the mental toughness and blistering forehand of Nadal.
I would say thiem/djokovic mix. Power like thiem but flexibility mobility and he's starting to develop his shot placement to the level of Djokovics obviously he has a long way to go to beat Djokovic but he could get there.
Future top 10 for sure. Future champion, no doubt. Future number 1 and multi slam winners? Not sure. Medvedev and Zverev will be hard to beat, and for now Djokovic and Nadal are still there. Tennis is a difficult sport once you're in the elite.
Maybe, who can say...there's so much depth in men's tennis and Zverev and Medvedev will dominate..Nadal and Nole still have a couple left in them...so it's too soon to tell with Alcaraz. I certainly hope it's not like Dimitrov or other hopefuls. He will certainly win slams but I think Nole or Rafa will go down as the 🐐 ultimately.
In my opinion Alcaraz has obviously played a great match but I felt that Tsitsipas could really do something more, I think that after his heartbreaking defeat in the final of the Roland Garros he has never been the same in this season, I hope that he could return at his prime in 2022, tennis needs some players like him
and then a year later this 18 year old backs up this win over the number 3 and run to the USO 21QF by actually winning USO 22, incredible... oh and becomes world number 1 as well lool 1:39:22 that return winner from Tsitsipas tho, 👌
Alcaraz has the same poise that Federer has, especially in his 20s. They both hit the ball like drinking a glass of water, but at the same time not acting like big shots.
Became a fan of this boy in this match. Now I'm here just after his first Grand Slam title. Great character!
Awesome game from both. 18yr old won. Alcaraz in 5 sets. Best game this year.
Tistispas pushed him all the way.

If anyone's destined to dominate men's tennis it's got to be this kid.
How can Kyrgios compare with this kid?

Carlos's backhand could be one of the best of all time.
It will be. His form is beautiful.
Didnt find it as smooth as agassi
@@rajeevaggarwal3935 well backhands aside, I hear Agassi’s head is pretty smooth nowadays 👴
His level of play at times during 2022 was the highest I've ever seen in professional tennis, Big 3 included.
