    Ruud is the perfect example of a player who doesn't have generational talent, but a mind of steel. At times he has played well, at times bad, but he is still there. Quietly moving forward. Last year he would win every ATP 250. This year he has reached one ATP 1000 final and one semifinal and two grand slam finals.

    Bajo mi punto de vista Carlos Alcaraz es un jugador súper completo. Tiene para empezar una energía relámpago gracias a su juventud. Tiene un saque muy inteligente, milimétrico y preciso que le aporta muchos puntos ganadores ( aunque este detalle también lo tienen muchos otros tenistas). Pero para mi lo más importante de Carlos es su capacidad de concentración. Para que un tenista cometa tan pocos errores es para mi debido a ese aspecto de su personalidad. Además de su inteligencia espacial . Cuando se está tan sumamente concentrado en la tarea esto te hace cometer muy pocos errores haciendo una lectura casi perfecta de las jugadas. Este detalle de concentración le hace anticiparse como se anticipa disparando un spring hacia el otro lado de la pista porque sólo de esa manera se puede devolver tales puntos que llegan a semejante velocidad. Yo creo que Carlos tiene un punto de super dotado porque yo jamás había visto jugar de esa manera porque para ganar a Tiafoe que físicamente es un atleta de élite de 1.88 de puro nervio hay que tener mucha magia interna.
    Por otro lado el señor Ruud es todo un caballero.Y su conducta es extremadamente hermosa y comedida. Para mi es pura inteligencia emocional y cómo no un grandísimo tenista. Es el paradigma de comportamiento sobre una pista de tenis.

    Poor Ruud he lost two consecutive finals against the Spaniards. Nadal at Roland Garos then to Alcaraz at US Open. What a terrific performance by Ruud in 2022 two GS finals but short of winning one. This one is very close in reaching his first GS title it's a pity he faced a young and talented rising star who isn’t easy to give up until the last point. What an amazing battle by these two young blood ready to take tennis into a different level. WHO would have thought that Alcaraz would surpass Rudd achievement at this point winning four Grand Slam after just less than two years at this point of writing. I re watch this match after the conclusion of the two GS Events this year at Roland Garos and Wimbledon without Rudd in the last four of both Events.

    I remember the second commentator of this match was obviously rooting for Ruud. He made sly comments throughout the match. At some point he said Alcaraz was tired and was using the crowd to motivate him and so many others. A commentator should be neutral and not constantly look for what was wrong with a player's game. • @TheShipitholla
      @TheShipitholla ปีที่แล้ว

      Not just saying it because he didnt prevail down there, but the hard court at US Open is slower than the one at the Australian Open. Thats why he has somewhat success on the hard courts over in America, I think Miami and Indian Wells are THE slowest ones they have on tour, because of the slower pace and it bounces higher. Thats why you're never gonna see him win at Wimbledon, and most likely not at Australian Open either. I wanna see him win something else than the ATP250s where he's a constant 1st seed tho, its about time now. Tennis is moving into an odd Era, there's no clear cut no. 2 in the world behind Alcaraz after Djokovic retires, so there's a lot of space up for grabs.

    Have some respect for Ruud. Alcaraz didnt win the match convincingly, it was tight and Ruud isnt even very experienced on hard court.. Actually, it could have turned out differently had Ruud executed his two set points in the 3rd set. Alcaraz only managed to break Ruud once in the 4th set and they won one set each + the tight 3rd which Ruud could have won (he actually had the edge in the 3rd).
