Perhaps brother, less learning more practicing in action. Through action, learnings occur. We can't live in the same way, and expect to learn something different. We need to live differently, and learn through experience.
@@NickDavidSmith I appreciate that. And, 44 years into a Christian walk, I still know I need that. But I don't know how to do something to remedy the part where he's talking about God's distance because I don't know what to think of his love for me. It seems it must be a thing I attain the hope for by faith, and there's nothing in this life of peace or provision for need. I've begun to live better with that view, that I have no reasonable expectation of experiencing those here. Just heaven. Old besetting sin's just about entirely gone. Memories of failure, sure, are troubling but not restrictive of my faith. But, wanting Him. Wanting his love and engagement with me in real tangible need, healing or provision... I'm just thinking from experience, I shouldn't. Just heaven.
You know what? I decided to click on this, even after knowing what he’s done in the past. Know why? Bc he’s good dude. He showed remorse for his actions, he took responsibility & didnt defend himself, felt no reason to assert a false perfect image. And He submitted himself to the authority of his staff. He’s a good man & I appreciate him. THIS is what people don’t see enough in leadership, when they mess up. I like Matt, I know he failed. He trusted in Jesus & he’s ready to sew good. I just feel like that is the mark of someone who has good character. And plus I like his sermons.
@@Austin-Joel He had an emotional affair. He admitted to this awhile back. He said he flirted with his secretary. They had a flirty friendship. Now, I don’t know if they caught feelings, that’s another ballgame. In any case that adds more damage to the already big mess. But anyway, that’s when the church stepped in & suspended him. To which he was incredibly mature & remorseful about it. Sought help, repentance the whole bit.
Dude. How did you interpret all of that based on the statements made by both Matt & the church. That’s wild. But, Well done on the backhanded compliment 😂
Nah I think I have heard Paul Washer say there are things that a man is meant to bare, like a load in life, that the women is not meant to bare. So if you tell your wife all of your problems then it puts a weight on her that she is not meant to carry. So I disagree with 41:00 where he says he tells his wife all of his problems
In Genesis, Eve was called Adam’s “helper” If Adam was supposed to do it all on his own and not share the burden, what was she supposed to “help” him with?
Your wife has the curse of pain in giving birth for herself so do you think it's ok to share all the problems you have at work that dont concern your wife with her? Try share all your problems from work with your wife she will be a nervous wreck also it's unmanly so don't expect to get close afterwards...
I really want to understand this in my life and learn these lessons. I really do.

@@cece8095that’s not what happened at all. It seems you didn’t read or listen to any statements made by the church or him.

I mean....he allowed his "PDF. File" father to work in his church without informing the members of his past...
My Favorite!!
Whew!
Is this a continuation from last year's series of the same title?
