I know it's probably not the best series to look at.. But. Do you think you could a look at.. Lost Planet? Dead Rising? Or even Silent Hill? Even Metal Gear Solid?
I think is a pretty solid project not my cup of tea but is mostly due to I care more on castlevania or metroid than resident evil is just my personal preference but that doesn't judge the great amount of quality and care you put here
Lost planet would be so badass!!! While I would love it I feel he should focus on the big hitters/in popular demand series to get his views & popularity back to where it once was

Why does this series have less then 100k per video? This is probably the most clear, concise and accurate retelling of the RE timeline I’ve EVER seen; most people leave out parts that if not included, create loopholes in the timeline. The fact they get more views then this is bullsh*t

I treat this series like how others do with audiobooks. it makes my work shifts smooth while listening to video game lore. The organization and effort put into the games history is something I support and hope to see more of. the Resident Evil and Castlevania series are my fav on this channel currently

Watching this again, it makes me have an interesting fan theory. What if Billy's unit was sent to Africa to steal a sample of that flower? Now, follow me on this. The US government, sick of waiting for Umbrella to give results, employs a competing corporation (that Wesker will end up going to) to get the flower. But, because the location is well hidden, and Wesker had not yet left, the US government fudged the location. Now, Billy's unit is dropped in, most of them killed by heat and guerrillas trying to defend their village. They reach the village and demand the flower, which these villagers know nothing about. The team leader, in a fit of rage, orders the death of those villagers. Billy tries stopping it, but to no avail. Now the US government is in a tough spot. Because an entire innocent village being eradicated in a non war zone by the US government would raise questions. Questions that the government wouldn't want to answer. And so, Billy is offered up as a sacrificial lamb. He's branded insane so nobody would believe his story, tried and found guilty in a show tribunal, and sentenced to death. Only to be set free by a chance attack in the Raccoon Forest. Then, when he meets Rebecca and doesn't act like an insane killer, it makes her question the official report.
Man, I’ve had similar thoughts since I first heard the REZero story. Here’s my take below, if interested: Billy’s squad was allegedly sent to clear out “Insurgents”, but when he’s talking to Becca in the dumping grounds after being rescued, he says something about “continuing research on the ‘Mother Virus’” and it flashes to the bodies of the people killed by his squad… that’s always bothered me. I THINK that maybe his CO was on the secret Umbrella Payroll, and they greased the US Military bureaucracy to send in a mission to clear people out from what they deemed “sensitive areas” in the African Kijuju region. By whatever means the CO thought necessary. It’s mentioned in the vid that Billy’s squad had lots of trouble getting there, so the CO probably had zero issue with deleting that village and being done with it. Apparently he didn’t take into account that his men might object (sadly only one did). The fact that Billy resisted and likely tried to report this vile act probably dragged the whole incident into the light. Too bad they just used the Uno Reverse Card and pinned it all on him. That said: didn’t Sheva (RE5) say her family were victims of Umbrella operations in the region??? I feel like the timeline adds up. Like She was away and came back to that whole incident or saw it happen from the tree line. A lone survivor to confirm that there was some sort of military involvement there, and further expose what was probably a clandestine operation could add to the pressure brought on by Billy’s attempt to report what happened. What do you think?

8:01 just sounds so insulting in a funny way that was that really how they used the sounds of the leeches for the game? Also really liking the retelling of the origins beginning first with 8's motion being played out first and foremost with even a nice telling over strange powers predating much history including even a sketch of Las Plagas.
Once you realize it's hamburgers cooking and you play the game, you can't unhear it lol. And the story bits in Village really filled in much of what we didn't know about the very beginnings of Umbrella. That and RE5.
Amazing work. I always loved watching the old timeline series because it was cool to see how you weaved all the stories together to create a more coherent narrative. I'm excited to see this new series now that there are remakes and other stuff in the mix.

Seeing the Resident Evil timeline being remake is the best idea ever!! Especially since Resident Evil 4 remake is also coming out (which I hope it'll be out around the best time for you to tackle that game in the timeline) Still I wonder how you're going to handle the "City of the Dead" event of Raccoon City,we've seen two possible timelines from both original and remakes of RE 2 & 3,I wonder if there's a chance to combine them both along with the stories within Raccoon City around that time. (It definitely makes sense as to why Capcom always focus on that outbreak) Anyway this is the best way to come back to this series,especially with RE4 Remake that's coming soon,can't wait to see Chapter 2 and the rest of the this new series within the timeline!! Can't wait!! ^_^
With these series it'll be much more focused on individual games so the Raccoon City portions will be broken up per game. That way I can go as detailed as possible, and this project will be as different as possible from the original timeline series.
I'm always amazed that they actually made Wesker go into the Army instead of training him like their paramilitary force and later faking his service in the Army. Like does it matter? As long as he's trained in combat the only thing you need is to convince the RPD and STARS he was an army vet. Kind of strange this is one of the things Umbrella was honest in.
Well since Wesker was part of Project W, like the other children, he was encouraged to go out into the world and make his own choices. They were supposed to be much more independent, which eventually shot them in the foot with Albert Wesker.
Seriously though I'd love to see a cg movie that showed the founding and recruitment of STARS maybe even focus on Bravo team and show them actually kicking ass in a couple missions before they were wiped out. It could also go into Wesker's plans leading up too RE0/1.
You mean what Welcome to Raccoon City should've done at the beginning, before the mansion incident. But instead they chose to fast forward everything to blow through RE1 and get to RE2 as fast as possible.

I love this. Huge fan love all your timeliness videos. I first started watching castlevania timeliness and then it grew from there huge fan. This is awesome. I love timelines. My ultimate favorite is the metroid one.
All right I'm stoked for this one. Re zero is my second favorite re game. Quite the unpopular opinion I'm aware of but it's a good game and the graphics are amazing and the story isn't bad either although the plot hole with Rebecca is pretty glaring.
Resident Evil Zero is definitely a good game but I hate that inventory system to this day. I'm glad they didn't make it a permanent change to the series.

What made absolutely NO sense was that Oswald Spencer wanted immortality along with godhood.....why didn't he get Maranda to make him exactly like her so that he could accomplish his future goals without worrying about aging??? CAPCOM shouldn't had Spencer ever meet Maranda at all.....they just wanted to force the small Umbrella connection.......
Real answer: you're right, Capcom just didn't invent the Mold until RE7 and didn't connect it to Spencer til RE8. In game answer: whatever Spencer witnessed in the village convinced him a virus would be a better method than Mold infection.
I caught that too. Probably no guarantee that him coming in contact with the megamycete would have the same effect though. Spencer would've been right not to risk it

All right I'm stoked for this one. Re zero is my second favorite re game. Quite the unpopular opinion I'm aware of but it's a good game and the graphics are amazing and the story isn't bad either although the plot hole with Rebecca is pretty glaring.
Resident Evil Zero is definitely a good game but I hate that inventory system to this day. I'm glad they didn't make it a permanent change to the series.

They actually played with the idea of including him in Infinite Darkness but couldn't figure out how to include in in the overall story. So he's definitely somewhere in Capcom's back pocket for use at some point.

What made absolutely NO sense was that Oswald Spencer wanted immortality along with godhood.....why didn't he get Maranda to make him exactly like her so that he could accomplish his future goals without worrying about aging??? CAPCOM shouldn't had Spencer ever meet Maranda at all.....they just wanted to force the small Umbrella connection.......
Real answer: you're right, Capcom just didn't invent the Mold until RE7 and didn't connect it to Spencer til RE8. In game answer: whatever Spencer witnessed in the village convinced him a virus would be a better method than Mold infection.
I caught that too. Probably no guarantee that him coming in contact with the megamycete would have the same effect though. Spencer would've been right not to risk it
