Hello and greetings from Denmark 🙂👋 I feel like I have to stand up for your Dad a bit here as the Fokker actually has the right amount of rigging.👍
Back in the early eighties my local school ran a modelling project for the older kids, a bit like you and the Smith Hill Library are doing here. Remember building the Billing Boats wooden models of the Dragen sailing boat and Roar Ege viking ship. Great times. I'm still in the hobby here 40 years later.

Thanks for pointing this out. I should have done my research first.

I love those old revell kits kits and the larger scale. I built several of the WW1 era Aircraft and used some upgrade parts from CSM (Copper State Models) I think there are not in biz anymore but they are fun and classic models to build.any are still on display in my office. Thanks for posting your fathers builds- very cool!!

Thanks! I think CSM is still around and making a name for themselves with a line of WW1 armored car kits.

@@9librariespvd Wow, I need to check them out again. I think I got my pieces off eBay. I have the Revell 1/28 Fokker D7 kit which is kind of rare and got a few upgrade pieces with various engine cowls etc. These kits are considered basic by pro modelers but I do love them. Your Dad did a fantastic job and it’s awesome that you have an appreciation for all the work he did. With Wingnut wings out of business too it now makes those kits valuable and hard to build up because of their rarity so I will just focus on my D7 build and I have a Revell SPAAD 1/28 that I’m doing as French Ace George Guynemer’s plane. I really love WW1 large scale aircraft. Thank You again for sharing, new sub here. 👍Pat

The Fokker DR-1 did not have rigging, except for the fuselage struts and landing gear. Still great kits for their age.

Thanks. I should have checked before filming. I should know to never question my Dad!

Sound not great nice models should do some Gotha bombers some Strakkens. Imagine that in 1/28 scale 🤗👀
