Finally! How long has the Tamiya German field kitchen been out? Nice to see this more human side of life offered.
The original Gulaschkanone kit dates from around 1978. Tamiya released a modified version "Feldküche" in 2001. That one has them cooking. MiniArt also makes several versions of a Soviet Field Kitchen.
That’s a very interesting kit.
I like the glue and water trick.
pretty cool 😎 😎
One of the most overrated aircraft ever in my books. A good friend who was in USAAF an engineer said it was a pig enough said . Take care
A pig?! 😆
The Dutch Air Force said goodbye to it after 45 years of service today. Now replacing it with F-35s.
The "Pea Green" would have come from Italian paint stocks
Ah! Interesting!
I’ve got this kit not long ago and it’s still a good kit..I think I’m about Mr.Allen’s age,so I’m 30+ late on this kit for its desert shield/storm..But still be doing it that camo, from back in the day..Though the European camo used to look cool.. Thank you for the great video..Was those dry transfers from Verlinden,as they were around back then..Thanks again and all the best from the U.K🇬🇧🇺🇸👍
The dry transfers were from my graphic design days, probably Letraset or some equivalent. They were taken from an alphabet sheet.
I have always wondered which guy commanded the twin turret tanks and how did they communicate
Good question.
Hi, I am currently finishing this kit. What is your opinion of the size/difficulty of the assembly of some smaller parts. Best/worst examples are the smoke dischargers, particularly the x6 no.109 "barrels" (parts 108/109/110/111/112-D), or the 24x tiny track link "C" clips (part 23-E)? I didn't mind the hatch handles but I thought the above were crazy small particularly with no guide holes, much effort, easily . What about the 4x track hanging of both sides of the turret, the single tiny contact/glueing point make them easy to break off, a lug w/ socket would help, like the tiny but easily glued hatch handles.
Funny Italeri #286 story. I stopped making kits when I had kids. This was the last kit I made 25yrs ago. For my last birthday my now adult daughter got me a kit, by total fluke this one. Spooky!
Italeri is know to have tiny parts. At one time, Italeri was a less expensive option to some of the other manufacturers, but that doesn't seem to be the case these days.
Interesting topic i reckon fraggle Rock is under that workbench 😂😂😂 Take care My grandfather said that the German tanks were chick pea / lentil colour he was captured at Tobruk actually shot down
Wow! Interesting description. Yes, Fraggle Rock lives.
Solvaset is still available.
Great video and presentation.
Thank you!
Just great! The old kits makes the modelers more creative like this specific one. 👍👌👏
I love those older Italieri kits. I especially loved their Panther A with zimmerit. My very first kit with zimmerit already on the parts. Keep up the great work with your videos and channel.
I have the exact same model! Also still in the box. Greetings!
Thanks for the review of the Matchbox Wellesley (and nice paintjob, by the way). It have it on my wish-list since I was a kid, but that wingspan is honestly a bit off-putting. I might go for the gorgeous Stranraer instead.
It is a rather long wingspan for a single engine aircraft.
I still have models i built almost 50 years ago in my teens. They are in plastic show cases and still look very good; mostly Italeri German armor, some of my first airbrushed models. Still proud of them!
Look like me, down cellar behind the ax. Nice to see these old kits. Always liked luftwaffe nightfighters with their jazz music gun installa toins which was absolutely devastating. Treat yourself to a new ICM series dornier bomber/nightfighter in 1/72 and find the definition of evolution. Carry on brother and enjoy your hobby. Rick
Excellent, thumbs up!
Thanks!
Do217 served in north Africa I think the night fighter version did. Ironically Japanese wanted a licence to build it Iltaleri version was a great kit Especially in Italian markings As they operated about half a dozen. Keep up the good work
Nice video
Great job on your D2. I am contemplating getting the Resin D2 but wanted to get some info. Your video was exactly what I was looking for.
Glad I could help.
@@9librariespvd Ordered mine last night. Already built a 3D printed D1.
Loved this one! If you’re looking to increase views, sometimes a slight adjustment to the thumbnail can make a big difference. I’ve been working on some designs that might suit your style-
nice video!
Looks like you did a really nice job on the finishes of your models.
I find painting livestock so much harder than painting vehicles, so many different textures and colour patterns.
Agreed! I have not mastered the art of painting animals, or faces on miniatures.
nice channel my work space at work is identical
Old house, small workspace!
What's the best site to get 1/48 mirage kit cant find one on Amazon??
Lots of options. You can find almost anything on eBay. Also look at cyber-hobby.com, sprue brothers.com, hlj.com, and many others. You can type 1/48 Mirage in Google and see where it leads you.
Merci beaucoup ! Thank you for showing us some not very known models.
The Tiger Models Nagmachon is a lovely kit, goes together nicely. I would compare the quality to Meng, which to me is a great manufacturer.
bon jour, zoot alors... l' model c'est tres magnifique.
Hi buddy. I like how you discuss the aircrafts history and the model plus you say it how it is. I too had the decal problem with a couple of these kits which is surprising for Japanese quality. As you say I nice kit to play with, adding detail and maybe using a craft knife and some plastic card or tuning. But it is annoying when you can't replicate what you see on what is nice colour paint guide. Strange. But for the price and scale I think they are good. Having endured the worse decals and quality control of all with Mistercraft!!! Eeeek. Thank for the heads up and details. Happy modelling friend.
A and B variants = Freedom Fighter. C,D,E and F variants = Tiger 11 (Tiger 2)
decals om a sunny window for a few days will fix them. Surprised you didn't know this hack.
I know that's a good technique if the decals have yellowed. Will that help with other stains? Sounds like an idea.
It would be good to see how the kids got on with making these kits.
Nice friendly video cousin,I remember the Matchbox kit as tgey did do different lesser known stuff. Always crisp, rarely any flash, more decal and parts than airfix in the 70s and 80s. Novel colours as kids may not have had paints. I too looked up this weird bird and as you said quite often it's the lesser know unsung heroes that were the first to do all kinds of things. Matchbox got bought out but you can tell the originals as they have a unique clear window in the back of the box. Tank models cane with lovely dioramas. Revell bought them out so when you buy a Revell it may be a Matchbox. By the way tge Czech company Valom do the Wellesley for a more detailed version with Photo etch and excellent interior. That's a big old bird and caused a few headaches out in Africa for sure. Keep those videos coming. Nice and relaxed and informative. The kids grew up and so did the hobby but the buzz remains the same. Awesome. Cheers fried. Des UK
Cavalry aside, Mr. Alan you are doing a fantastic job.
Yes, I deserve all the fun remarks on my outrageous typo! Oh my!
CAV - AL-RY
Yes, my bad.
Cavalry, not calvary, where Jesus was crucified. Lots of people make this mistake.
Dumb blunder. Oops!
Actually are weird fact but the Cossacks spent a lot of the year in Iran herding ect . Reading a great book on soviet Aircraft and units in Asia 1922/41 . Very interesting reading
What's the name of the book?
@@9librariespvd it's by hellion Soviet airpower central Asia.
Awesome stuff, I remember our town library had that book, used to regularly get it out.
D520 would be great for Pierre le gloan Vichy Syria colours Great work
That thought had crossed my mind! However, my wallet suggested the decal set that I purchased.
@@9librariespvd I might have a spare set somewhere. You can have it if i can find Pandora's box has nothing on My spares lol 😂
Love those vintage Italeri kits. I think we've all built this kit at one point....hahahahahaha. Good value in that kit with the inclusion of the figures. Keep having fun. Bill
Fighting the oppressive heat here in Maryland too. Great job on your early war Zero. Cool info on the plane's markings. Keep having fun my friend. Bill
Mid 60s farranheit I. Ireland today it's been an awful summer again I have some of them Japanese army aircraft books Great books but so expensive There actually a company from Japan which sells books in English on Japanese aviation. But it's hit and miss if in stock
Great video.
The finished product looks like something Eiji Tsuburaya would've made for a Godzilla movie.
