😁 Thanks! Yeah, I have a few old ones that drains really fast. Wonder if it's possible to replace the battery cells inside them. Good cells are easy to come by in the states. A bit more difficult over here :)
a worthy endeavor. one's tool should always have that nice polished look, better yet if someone else do that cleaning tho ^^ anyhow, you should look into so you don't mess up any warranties or so when you disassemble the rest, would suck quite badly if it gets voided because you open it up :D

Life hack: electronics cleaner and compressed air. You could have thrown the plastic shell in the dishwasher too.

Sorry about that! I used mostly a generic degreaser and some white spirit :)
just unscrew everything and put into a dishwasher; dry it, oil the gear; done

Yeah, no warranties I can void on these. But the more expensive ones have electronic components tracking all sorts of tampering!
