Most people that have been paying attention to the Panthers this offseason are that high on them, honestly. Most people seem to agree that this team should get 6-7 wins and be much improved from last year. I suspect dude on the right didn't do much research going into this discussion. Only reinforced by the mention of Zavala as the starting right guard, as others have mentioned. I think he'll improve, but he is a depth piece on the line, so it's not as critical as he seems to think.

Dionte Johnson gives us juice at Wide Receiver that we did not have last year, we finally have a pass catching tight end in Sanders, Ickey looked good in the preseason and we upgraded the other weaknesses on the o line. The offense should be much better. The defense will be bend don't break but we got Shaq back and Clowney can get sacks and is great against the run. 6 or 7 wins is not unrealistic.
I love that some football guys think we have gotten so much worse on defense because we lost Brian Burns lol it feels more like we are going from a B+ to a B minus at the position then we lost a superstar
Dumpster fire is a bit much. I have the buccs and Falcons as probably having winning seasons or thereabouts, and Saints to be mid af and panthers to be bad, but not awful like last year. Something like Buccs/falcons 10 or 11 wins. Saints 8 or 9 wins Panthers 5 or 6 wins.

As a Panthers fan I don’t want a professional NFL QB that lines up under a guard for a snap to lead my team… he wasn’t the only problem but he definitely is not the answer and got more excuses than I’ve ever seen… We will win more games but it will be from improved roster and the NFL gave us a lay up w an easy schedule

The backup OL (Christensen, Nijman, Kingston, Raym, and the new and improved Zavala is better than the starting OL last year.
