Very good breakdown of the qualifications for an elder. This should clear up many questions people have. It has for me.

I do agree how when the Bible mentions that pastors need to be "the husband of one wife", it's not trying to say that pastors have to be married. The Greek word for "husband of one wife" in 1 Timothy 3 is mias gunaikos aner, which means one woman man, someone who doesn't struggle with adultery, someone who isn't a player, etc. When the Bible says pastors need to be the "husband of one wife", it's not trying to say that pastors have to be married; it's saying that pastors need to be people who don't struggle with adultery, people who aren't players, people who aren't womanizers, etc. The reason why the phrase "husband of one wife" was used was because almost everyone during that time period was married. Paul assumed the people were married since it was rare for someone to not being married during that time period, which is why Paul used the phrase "husband of one wife". Paul didn't use the phrase "husband of one wife" due to being married being a requirement for being a pastor.
The phrase "husband of one wife" in 1 Timothy 3 isn't meant to be taken literally. There's a lot of Bible verses that are meant to be taken literally, and there's some Bible verses that aren't meant to be taken literally, which is why understand the Hebrew and Greek meaning of certain words and understanding the context of the chapter the particular verse is in is important in understanding what a Bible verse is saying. "Thou shall not judge" in Matthew 7:1 doesn't mean to literally never judge someone. It means to not jump to conclusions about people, to get to know someone before judging them, etc. Hebrews 8:12 says "If you confess your sins to God, God will forgive your sins, and he remembers your sin no more". Hebrews 8:12 doesn't mean that God literally forgets the sins that you commit; it means that God doesn't dwell on the issue anymore.
When 1 Timothy 3 says pastors need to "manage their household well", it's not trying to say that pastors have to have kids. It's saying that pastors need to be good parents if they have kids. Pastors aren't required to have kids, but they are required to be good parents if they have kids. Being a good parent is very important in being a pastor because when someone is a bad parent, it damages their role model status in regards to leading a church. The reason why "manage their household well" is used in 1 Timothy 3 instead of "manage their household well if they have kids" is because it's assumed they have kids since almost everyone during that time period had kids, and it was rare for people to not have kids during that time period.
Timothy was a pastor of a church, and he was never married, and he didn't have any kids, and God approved of him being a pastor, which is strong evidence how there's nothing wrong with single people and people who don't have kids being pastors.

God wanted a family man to Pastor the churches.... you can't use what was said in Corinthians to discredit what is written in Timothy and Titus........ because he wasn't talking about the leadership/ elders he was talking to the young virgins and widows........... Paul only wrote what God Almighty spoke to him....... God ordained marriage from the beginning......he that find a wife find a good thing....... when Paul said I would that all men were even as I....he spoke that on his own accord........

I’m sorry but I don’t think you can rightly argue that those like Jesus and Paul would be excluded from pastoral/elder leadership because they were not family men. That would immediately exclude every person God didn’t bless with children or who’s spouses had died. Generally, pastors will be family men, which is why Paul gave those instructions, but to go beyond that and say they must be is stretching the text to far.
To say Paul spoke that on his own accord is a slippery hermeneutic. I’m certainly not going to speak against having a family, but I’m also not going to argue with wisdom from an apostle either.

There is a reason why God gave the requirements for becoming a bishop..... everybody that desire to become a pastor/ bishop will not meet the requirements..... according to what is written.. but now days anybody can become a pastor and I know many of them are not even saved...... according to scriptures..set in order the things that are wanting....by who? God Almighty God wanted a family man in charge of the churches........ husband of one wife means he must be married........

Sir, I think I clearly stated why such a hard fast belief is untenable given what the rest of scripture teaches. Truth be told, you are the only person I’ve ever heard argue for such a position. I take the qualifications for elders very seriously and as one man once said, “if your qualifications for elders are so strict Jesus couldn’t pastor your church, perhaps you should rethink your requirements.”
