My father was a big Statle Brothers fan. I grew up hearing the music, and the laughter. Thank you Harold Reid, we'll see you and the old Roadhog, down the road.
I purchased 3 of their CDs years ago and enjoy their harmony and this particular performance cracks me up every time. If you have a trained ear you know how difficult it is to play and sing off key! They are true entertainers. Harold, we will see you on the other side!
I grew up listening to the Statlers. This stuff slipped under the radar for a lot of folks back in the day but I was lucky to pick up right away. I still use some of those Road Hog phrases when traveling in Europe even now
I honestly believe 'Roadhog' is one of the best comedy albums of the 1970s. Right up there with Steve Martin's 'Let's Get Small,' Albert Brooks's 'A Star Is Bought,' and Richard Pryor's '...Is It Something I Said?'

I loved the Cadillac cowboys. Got their albums. Burfords Barber Shop. Elbert’s Egg Farm. Jawny Mac Brown high school.
Rest in Peace Roadhog
You gotta be good to be this bad! LOL
Still have and play my LP. Just as funny as the first time. Finding this is gold. Thank you!!
Always loved that picking by Ray Clark !

These boys always make me laugh....& they were amazing musician-singers, too.

RIP, Harold.
I did a survey around 1990 of what Austin rock bands played in their vans on tour and the Cadillac Cowboys got the most "votes"!
The best part, is that when you're genuinely talented, it's really hard to be this bad.
Nice pickin Whitchita
shut your eyes and you`d swear it was Check Adkins ..
I wonder what Roadhog said at 2:18?
I was wondering the same thing
He said his meat is trying to come up on him 😂
In response to he got a hold of some bad bologna 😆
What got bleeped out?
Speaking of Hogan County, I looked it up -- and it turns out no US state has a Hogan County. LOL
Cletus Duncan! Willard Wiseman.
Don’t think we wanna call it. Rainbow Valley now.🤔
What a waste of their amazing singing talent...like when Ferlin Husky was doing "Simon Crumb"
Could it possibly be that, in these instances, they were more intent on displaying their vast comedic talents? Did that ever cross your mind?
